Getting back my photos from old iCloud backup

Both my laptop and iPhone got stolen (life ***** )
It was iPhone 4 and I had it regullary backed up to iCloud.
Next I bought a new iPhone5 and started using it as new device (didn't restore the iPhone4 backup). It has it's own iCloud backup (so currently my iCloud got 3 backups: iPhone5, iPad and iPhone4 - which i don't have the device).
Also bought a new laptop... (meaning no old iTunes backup)
So, only place I have a backup of the last 3 years images+videos are inside my old iPhone4 backup on iCloud.
Question: how do I pull this backup out of iCloud without: A. formatting my iPhone5, B. buying some old iPhone4 on eBay just so I restore the old backup to it.
Thanks!

You can't. iCloud backups are not viewable or editable. If you want the data, you'll have to restore it to an iOS device in order to get it.

    hello,
same question   how can i get back my photo from icloud?
    thanks

iCloud.com does not have a photo's tab.  Photo stream is intended to stream images to your computer via iPhoto 11, or to another iOS device.  See this article for more detailed information - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486.

  • How do i get back my photo from the backup/sync

Hi,a couple of weeks ago i had a problem with my PC,& i had to do a system recovery,
now that i fix the problem with my PC,i will like
to get back the photo from the backup/sync.
    How do i do that?
P.S.  my backup/sync is been on since day one.

Of course its safe because it sync all your media to www.photoshop.com and you can anytime downoad your files when your catalog/files are lost.
How to get lost contenton your machine:
    1. Create a new catalog
    2. Launch Sync Preferences
    3. Mark Sync ON for this catalog and mark your online albums which you want to sync on your machine
It will download all marked albums and files to your machine...
Even, it helps recovering some selected files which are missing due to some reason. Check out : http://photoshopelementsbyadobe.blogspot.com/2010/01/how-backupsync-helps-when-your-files. html
the backup/sync was a safe place where to put your photo, and in case something happened to your PC,& you have to do ,what I had to do,which is a system recovery, than you could get them back with no problem.
Do you thik it is not safe?
Alll the data is kept on www.photoshop.com which a secure online space... Any thoughts?

Once again, KP is correct, but I just want to add that if you don't see the backup in the drop down menu on the summary page of iTunes when you choose the restore from backup option, then the backup is unfortunately gone. If you backup your computer, the iPad backup should probably be in that computer backup. I use Time Machine with my MacBook Pro and can access backups from months ago.
On a side note, I also archive backups from time to time. If you right click on a backup name in iTunes>Edit>Preferences>Devices (Windows) or iTunes>Preferences>Devices (Mac) you can save that backup or archive it. It will be date and time stamped. I have no idea why I do this to the degree that I do it, but I probably have 12-14 iPad backups archived in iTunes.

  • Need photos from an iCloud backup!

When iOS 7 came out I updated my iPhone 4S.  I backed it up before hand and in the middle of the the process had to restore from the backup which is not a big deal.  However, while backing it up a notification popped up and said something and I was texting and so I clicked an option without reading what it would do.  Basically what I found out is that I stopped downloading all my photos from my backup.  It didnt really bother me at the time, however, I really want some old photos of mine.  I still have that backed up version, but also have a bunch of new stuff on my phone that I do not want to get rid of just to have those old photos back.  Is there a way for me to obtain photos from the old backup and add them to my current phone.
tl;dr:  I have an old backup I want photos from because they didnt all download when I backed up my phone.  How can I get them without removing all the new stuff I have on my phone now.
My Possible Solution?: Backup my current version of my phone.  Then restore my phone to the old version.  Save the photos I want from the old version to someplace.  Then restore it back to the current version.  Would this be viable and are there any other possibilities?
    Thanks!!!

Your solution is the right one.
Back up your phone as it is now to iTunes.  Connect it to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now.  Then go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
Then restore your old iCloud backup.  Go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup and follow the prompts.  Be sure the phone is connected to wifi and your charger while it is backing up.
Import the recovered photos to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Connect your phone to your computer, go back to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Restore Backup, restoring the backup you made earlier.
Put the recovered photos in a folder and sync the folder to your phone by selecting it on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings.

  • I set up new phone (5) as a "new phone instead of backing up from icloud. How can I get back in to use the icloud backup? If I hit "delete account" does that just clear the new phone or does it get rid of my whole icloud account.

In the set-up process I clicked "set up as new phone" when I should have clicked "back up from icloud". I can't use itunes for the back up as it is not current. Is there a way to get back into setup? If I click "delete accout" in icloud management will it clear just my phone (so I can start over) or will it actually delete my icloud?

Settings>General, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Reset, choose to delete all data.  Then attach to itunes and choose to perform a restore.  You'll get the option to restore from icloud.

  • How do I get my photos from old icloud account to new icloud account?

I had changed my email for my icloud account, but I was unable to change it on my phone. So I had to reset everything because it kept autopopulating my old icloud email. I had quite a bit of photos and I am unable to locate them. Is there a way I can retain my photos from my old icloud account to my new icloud account?

    Use shared Photo Stream:

  • Recovering data from old iCloud backups of iPhone & iPad

Hello.  I had an iPad and iPhone stolen several months ago while traveling.  They had been backed up in iCloud, and appear as device backups in my "manage" page in iCloud viewed on my laptop.  Upon returning home I purchased a new iPad and iPhone, and started using them, assuming the old data lost.  My son pointed out that the old data is still available on iCloud.  But I don't want to erase my new iPad and & iPhone by restoring the old backups.  How do I just download my old photos & documents onto my laptop?

There is no way to do that if they are iCloud backups. If the backups are on your computer you use one of the many backup extractor programs that you can find with an Internet search. If you restore an older iCloud backup it will erase all of the content on your phone and replace it with the contents of the backup.

  • Recovering lost photos from delete icloud backup

Hi is there a way to recover the photos from a deleted icloud backup? I know once on the Internet it is there forever.

Unfortunantly there are no other backups...
I am hesitant to connect the new phone up as I find that whole line of questioning that iTunes does confusing.
I am never sure what it will do to 'sync' the old data with the new phone....
I think I'll just try the free utilities....

  • HT1766 how can I get back deleted photos from an app that i have deleted?

I am trying to get back photos and videos from an app that I have deleted.  I really hope there is a way of doing this.  Someone please help

Only if you backed up the phone before that and did not back up after that. App settings and data are part of the backup. But all other data will be set back as well, you can't choose a single app to be restored from the backup.

  • Restore to MBP from old iCloud backup

I have had 3 different iPhone 5s.  I had a backup in iCloud back in April from my original phone.  I have a Macbook Pro as well.  I would like to restore some of the information saved on that first backup to my MBP.  I had a lot of pictures on that first phone that I have never recovered.  Is it possible?
    Thank you
    Deborahlo

You cannot restore ios backups on icloud to a mac.  Macs do not back up to nor restore from icloud, that's only for iDevices.
