Getting "Baseband Core dump in progress" and after that 3G doesn't work
My iPhone 4 told me several times that there is a Baseband Core dump in progress. After that my 3G connection doesn't work anymore. Only a reboot of the iPhone solves the damaged connection.
This behavior is going to make me angry. Can someone tell me how to solve this issue?
P.S: I'm not using any beta iOS Version.
It's basically dumping a bunch of information from memory about the current state of the kernel and what not, so that it has a detailed error report to send to Apple. This data is uploaded to Apple when you sync with iTunes. Essentially an execution path of "core code". This is behavior typical of beta software, yet you state you're not running beta software on your phone...are you positive? If not, I've seen this with jailbroken phones.

I am using Communicator Pro with Enterprise Calendaring, Calendar client 4.6,
and when I attempt to launch it I immediately get a core dump and it does not
launch.

It is strongly recommended that you use the 4.61 motif Calendar client (bundled with the 4.7
Communicator Pro release) or 4.51/4.52 against Calendar Server 4.0. There are

against the 4.0 Server. Both the 4.51 Windows and the 4.52 motif clients have

I keep getting a notification displaying Capturing Baseband Core Dump and then the antenna in my phone resets and I have to search for signal again. My iPhone 5 has been doing this for a while now but not as frequently as it is now so is there a way to fix this?
Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue. -

I been using iPhone since the 2G. I just received my new unit which I purchased from Apple store M'sia, iPhone 5s.
I never once encounter "Capturing Baseband Core Dump" error until my current unit. Im wondering if this is normal or something related to my hardware or my unit is defect?
The time this error come when Im trying to switch from wifi to celular via Settings. The display is hang, only showing white bright color. I hope to get possibe answer regarding this matters.
Should I ask for replacement?

I was just at an event and surfing the web with WiFi when my iPhone (OS 2.0, beta5) locked up for a short time and then showed me a black screen with the message that baseband "wanted to dump core" (or something like that) and that I should run some utility and then power-cycle the phone. I wasn't anywhere near a computer when that happened, and now I can't find the utility in Xcode (or wherever) I was supposed to run.
Has anybody seen this before? What am I supposed to do with the core dump (other than sending it to Apple, I guess)? It's not a big deal, the phone is working fine - I'm just wondering.I will third that. The same situation for me. Running beta 5 iPhone OS Baseband core dump. Not near my MacBook Pro so just power cycled. It has happened 3 times now. I have noticed dropped calls and other phone related quality issues since I started running the beta os. Hope it's cleared up before the final release.

I'm new to Mac and the program/all called Numbers. I'm trying to use both Average and small in the same formula. What's I'm trying to do is take 20 cells in a column, find the 10 lowest numbers, then get the average and after that multiply it by .96 I used to use Excel and the formula worked fine in that. Here is my Formula
=(average(small(H201:H220,{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10})))*.96
This formula worked in Excel and when I converted my spreadsheet over to Numbers, this formula no longer works.
The best that I have been able to do so far is use small in 10 different cells, then get the average of the 10 cells and finally multiply that average by .96 So instead of using 1 cell, I'm using 12 cells to get my answer.
This is a formula that I will be using all the time. The next cell would be =(average(small(H202:H221,{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10})))*.96
Hoping I explain myself well enough and that someone can help me.

=average(small(H201:H220,1),small(H201:H220,2),small(H201:H220,3),...,small(H201:H220,10))*0.96
where you would, of course, replace the "..." with the remaining six SMALL functions. -
I got a vius and after removing Pro would not work, trying to reload and getting Error 1334, can someone advise me how to fix.

Unfortunately it looks like your 3GS' battery has expanded so much that it cracked the whole case wide open. If you have AppleCare on your device then you're all set, just take it to your local Apple Store.
If not, then still take it to the store. Complain about the battery bursting, and make sure to tell them that it's for sure a defect (you'd think it's obvious, but sometimes you just need to drive the point in), and that it potentially could have been and still be a hazard.
Remind them that the phone has not been in any adverse conditions, extreme temperatures, or abused in any way but that you just merely used it normally. (I'm assuming that's the truth?)
If they're good about it they should replace the broken phone for you; but unfortunately there's little chance of repairing your current device. -

Sign out from the new Apple ID with iTunes on your computer and sign in with your old iTunes account with iTunes.

Hi, please, anybody knows how many coolers has an iMac 27 Intel core i5? The widget iStatpro shows 3. I changed my HD (the previous one of 1TB crashed) and after that, the HDD cooler is constantly working at 4.600 rpm. Anybody is facing this problem?
Did you replace the HD yourself? If so what HD did you use?
You should be aware that the symptom you describe is likely to be because you've used an incompatible HD. The current Macs have the temperature sensor actually in the HD package, with a modified cable to connect to the logic board.
If the sensor is not in circuit, the fans will run full tilt all the time.
Also, if it was under warranty, I think you'll find you've just voided it. -
I just restored my 13" MBP i5 at the apple store to the newest version of Lion after issues with a previous Time Machine backup from Snow Leopard- this time I created a new account and just ported files and folders, and now MS Office doesn't work.

I bought a new 13" i5 MBP, early 2011 edition. I had an old white Macbook 2.14 ghz core2duo on Snow Leopard. I attempted to port over my time machine backup, but encountered problems in that my User was inaccessible from the new computer after the import finished, and I had to go in and change the root password, etc, and for some reason or another, I couldn't install any programs at all from that administrator's account. By "couldn't" I mean I could install them, but upon installation they would never boot. So, I took it to the apple store and did a clean install from the most up to date Lion OSX. Then, I created a brand new admin account, instead of trying to import the old one, and things seemed great. Then, I just imported my old files from the TM backup, but not any system settings, permissions, or user data. Just my Docs, pics, vids, apps, and itunes stuff.
Here's where things get weird again. I imported this stuff under the name "old", but all of these folders have a red negative sign on them, marking them as restricted. So, from my main admin account, I cannot even peruse these folders. Since I didn't import user data, I can't sign in to the "old" account to change permissions. I already tried to change the permissions from system preferences, but that didn't change anything. And now, for whatever reason, of all the apps that were imported then, MS Office is the only set of apps that does not work. When I click on it, it just says there was a problem and asks if I'd like to send a report to apple. I tried reinstalling it to no avail. I'm an English student, so i really need access to Word. Can anyone help? The Apple store is a major detour for me and would like to fix this issue myself.Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)
