Getting Bought Firmware 2.0 on "new" Ipod

Recently both my Ipod Touch 1g(running 2.0) and my IBM computer was stolen.
Now after I bought my friends old 1g Touch and got my new computer op and running, I see no way of getting my former paid aplications on my touch.
MainProblem is that I can't get this "new" 1g touch with firmware 1.5 updated to my paid 2.0, cause it's a different Ipod. But havn't I paid for the Firmware 2.0 enough, or do I really need to pay again, which sounds a bit absurd.?

Try contacting the iTunes Store support group and letting them know about the iPod touch software upgrade. http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/
Any purchased application that is missing can be downloaded again for free as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
Just make sure the new computer is authorized with the same Apple account information.

They can't. Which came first - the chicken or the egg? Actually, that's a bad comparison but a sync must come first.
The library is actually part of iTunes and it contains everything. iTunes is then configured so that you (or they) determine which portion of everything will be synced to each iPod (identified by a unique name, see below for an example of an iPod and an iPad). iTunes can't make that decision until AFTER it knows which iPods exist.
By the way, I (you, they) can very easily change the name of each device to whatever I (you, they) wish to call it.

To restore app data, the apps have to be in the iTunes library of the computer on which you do the restore. The iPod ackup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like apps and music.

I just bought a new ipod nano (2nd gen) 4G because my previous ipod broke. after downloading the new itunes and all that jazz, i couldn't get my library on to the ipod manually OR automatically. when trying it automatically, it says, "songs on the ipod cannot be synced because all of the playlists selected for syncing no longer exist." i've also gotten an error message about a disc not being there or something. i've tried deleting and re-adding all of my songs to itunes several times, and i'm out of possible solutions.

I've been in Australia for over a year, my previous Ipod broke so a purchased a new Ipod touch this year. However, as my Itunes library is on my laptop back in the UK, I'm a little depleted of music on this Ipod. Is it possible to get previous Itune purchases onto my Ipod here in Australia without me flying home, or worse still having the laptop sent over? I've kept all my Itunes receipts.

Older powerbook, trying to get it up to snuff for new ipod

I am trying to run a new ipod Classic on my G4 Powerbook with the following specs:
OS: Mac OS X 10.3.9
Hardware Overview:
Machine Model: PowerBook G4 15", CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (1.1), Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 1.33 GHz, L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 K, Memory 256 MB, Bus Speed:167 MHz
I am aware (now) that I need 10.4.8 or higher (I know it's written on the box...). I have read through roughly 25 pages of posts and could not find the answer to my questions. Here they are:
How do I upgrade my current OS to 10.4.8 or higher given my hardware limitations (add more RAM? Possible even?)?
- I saw that Leopard was too much for my modest Powerbook, but think maybe Tiger will get me there. Am I wrong to think that?
Can I use Tiger on this CPU? Will it run 10.4.8 or higher? How do I find and install Tiger as I cannot buy it anymore from the online store, only Leopard is available.
Do I need a new computer to run my iPod, or does someone here have a suggestion as to what I could possibly do short of buying a whole new CPU for my new iPod to connect with?

There's nothing wrong with your question. There are just no great answers.
OS10.4.x Tiger would be fine for you, much better with 1-2GB of RAM. However, it's hard to find for sale now commercially. I have no idea if the license allows a private party to sell you their old copy or not. Maybe in a year, some of the used equipment vendors will have it, but even then, the price will probably be so close to just buying Leopard, you may as well do that. Especially if you upgrade RAM.
As a practical matter, I would suggest upgrading RAM to 1 or 2 GB and buying Leopard OS10.5.x. Unless you don't have a DVD drive, or are tied to using Classic. Leopard doesn't run Classic.

First, you can update your current OS to 10.2.8 via download and with that update you can install and run iTunes version 6. That should let you use the Nano without upgrading to 10.3. Several people have indicated that they are using the iPod with Jaguar (10.2) even though Apple officially specs out that Nano at 10.3. Jaguar didn't support USB 2 - Panther does.
However, should Panther be necessary, you will have to purchase that upgrade. Since Panther has been replaced by Tiger, you should be able to find it discounted. Try Other World Computing or Small Dog.

I'm getting error code 1437 when syncing new ipod with my computer

I've just got my new ipod and when I try to sync it to my computer to copy music I get error code 1437. I'm not very tch savvy so anyone out there please explain in English and not tech speak.

1. Press PrintScreen (PrScrn) to capture a screenshot.
2. From Start, enter MSPAINT in the Search box, and then click "OK".
3. Use Ctrl + V to paste the screen shot to the paint.
4. From the File menu, click Print to print it.
