Getting calls from a weird phone # on iphone 4

So I've been getting calls almost every day since September 22nd from this weird number but I can't do anything about it, that I know of. The number comes up like this on my phone 255758481469. I cannot block this number through Verizon since it's not a 10 digit number and it just keeps calling me. I'd be able to ignore it but it calls me between 11PM and 7AM, and there's actually a person on the other side! Problem is he says hello a few times, says someones name and then hangs up. I try to say that he has the wrong number but he either doesn't understand me or can't hear me. If anyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated, this is getting very annoying.
PS a google search of the number didn't return anything for me either

Call Customer Service and have them Block the Number) they can for about 30 days i think if the No that you have is number that you don't mind changing have the Number changed) You can also go to My Verizon if you have a Account set up and do a Number change there) Customer Service's No. is as Follow 1-800-922-0204 Option 3 b33

Apple ID's are not device specific, so when you changed it on the iPad 2 it changed it on the iPhone 4 as well, since it's the same account still. What you need to do is create a second Apple ID (so you'll have two accounts, one for iPhone 4 and a seperate one for iPad 2).
To create a new Apple ID on your iPad 2:
1) Go into Settings > Store.
2) If you are already signed in, tap your Apple ID on the screen and you will be given a few options, one of which is to sign out of your account.
3) After you sign out, now click the "Sign in" button.
4) Tap "Create New Apple ID" and follow the instructions on-screen.

As long as they are already ticked in your iTunes then yes. Just to check do a sync and as long as everything stays the same you are good to go.

The iPad is not a mobile phone and therefore cannot make or receive calls. The iPad can send a message to another iOS device using the Messages app but the iPad cannot send or receive cellular text messages using the SMS system that all cell phones use. There may be an app that gets around this limitation though so check the App Store.

Best way would be to transfer your photos from your non Apple phone to the computer you normally sync your iPad to. Then organize the photos on your computer and sync them to your iPad.
If there are only a few photos your could email them to yourself.

Are the songs on a computer? Right mouse click on a song and on the summary page it will tell you what AppleID was used to purchase it.
If you are going to carry on using the same computer then just plug in the iPhone and sync the information there. So you will have a copy on your iPhone and maybe different stuff on your ipod.

I second the question posed by Rysz....if you have ANYTHING set up at all (a mail account, etc) it will communicate with it's server..whether polling for new mail, syncing notes, etc.
Also, the 4S is designed to be PC Free, so check your General settings tab to make sure it's not checking for Software Updates. Also, are you backing up to iCloud? This will automatically do things in the background. Check the iCloud settings page.
And to ensure no apps are running, double click your home button. When the screen raises up it will show icons of any running apps. Hold your finger on one of them, and they will start to dance with X's on the corners. Tapping the X's closes the app. Close them all, then hold your home button and power button at the same time. Slide to power off, leave it off for a minute, then power back on. This will ensure no apps are running in the background.

You would be roaming. International roaming is very expensive and must be activated by AT&T.
You can sign up for international packages that lower the cost substantially. When you call or others call you, the country code would need to be added to the phone number.

Am I the only one getting calls from 253-802-0308 about malicious file downloads after updating FIREFOX?

After updating Firefox I start getting calls from 253-802-0308 (International Telcom in Auburn Washington, found using 411.com). The report that they are getting messages that my Windows PC is reporting the downloading of malicious files. I don't think that there is a connection with Mozilla but it only started after I ran the last 2 or 3 updates to Firefox. Searches on Google and other search engines don't show logical connections to the phone calls and the problem being reported to me. None of my anti-virus programs, Ccleaner, DEFENDER & AVG pickup and malicious files. I'm curious about who they may be because when I question them during the calls they end up hanging up on me. Just wondering if similar problems are being reported.

That is a reported scammer set-up. Read some of the following from actual phone customers. It is not related to your Firefox updates. I have gotten a few of these types of calls on my '''''unlisted '''''home phone number over the past several years. They use a dialer, usually automatic and sequential number dialing. Get a loud whistle to blow into the phone mouth piece or one of those loud air horns from the hardware/sporting good store; this kind of trash deserves broken ear drums.

I have been receiving phone calls from a blocked number, is there any way to find out who it is? I know when someone blocks there number on a landline you can *69 and call the number back can you do that with a cell phone?

Hey there, barkar! Although it's been a while, I recall a period of time when I would get calls from blocked numbers. It can be very upsetting! I wish I could say that there's a way to see beyond those blocks, but the very purpose of the blocks is to protect the caller's privacy (even if that protection may come at the expense of the peace of mind of those being called). The best advice I can offer is to just not answer calls from individuals you either don't recognize or don't expect. Let them roll to voicemail. Must legitimate calls will leave you a message with their intentions stated.
And, if they become too much to handle, you do have the option to change your mobile number free of charge through My Verizon. Good luck to you!

We are getting calls from "peoples connect u.s.a." telling us they are providers of service for Microsoft and Macintosh. They have been informed our computer has informed them our drivers are in going to crash. legit. We think they are bogus. Right?

Does anyone else get calls from "Peoples' Connect U.S.A." indicating they have received error signals from our computer that that all drivers are going to crash and that our system is at high risk?

I get about one a day, usually saying our Windoze computer is infected (we don't have a Win computer). I cheerily thank then for calling and say I need to transfer them to our IT manager (I'm a home user so no such thing), lay down the phone near a radio with elevator music, and go about my business.
One person reported here within the last month that they fell for the trick. The callers ended up with $600 of her money for something that did not need fixing. They also ended up with her credit card number, her phone number, and her e-mail address. They had a good day; she didn't.
As most of these calls come from overseas (I call them "Mike from Mumbai" calls), the FCC can't do much but wring their hands. They've not been able to stop the "Rachel from Cardholder Services" robo-calls that have been plaguing US households for nearly a decade.

Stop answering calls with blocked numbers. If it's someone who really wants to talk to you, they'll leave you a message and you can call them back.
