Getting Camera Roll on computer?

I have taken some pictures with my iphone. When I sync, I only get the picture from the selected folder on my computer to my phone. I want the pictures in my Camera Roll on my computer. I had thought that there might be an iphoto folder or something, but I don't seem to have one. I'm running XP Pro. Does anyone know where the Camera Roll pictures get copied to on your computer? I don't want to have to email myself each picture from the camera roll.
Thanks.

I jus' happened to figure this out 2nite...here's what I did
-Connect your iPhone to the computer
-Make sure the iPhone is turned on and not in 'sleep mode'
-Open the 'My Computer' folder on your computer
-This will load the 'Hard Disk Drives' and a folder called 'Scanners and Cameras' which contains the 'Apple iPhone'
-Double-click the 'Apple iPhone' icon and you will find all the pics you took with your iPhone
-From here you can simply cut and paste (or drag & drop) them anywhere you want to put them
Hope this helps...Good Luck !

  • Problems getting camera roll onto computer??

If like me you had problems getting your camera roll onto your computer because it doesnt sync along with the photo library in itunes.I clicked computer on windows 7,then when you see your iphone you click on it then right click on it and you are given the option to import photos...it is obvious when you know so excuse me if this is really basic but i wish i had it simply explained like this.

Sounds like you need to read the manual. That's covered on pg. 73.

  • HT201317 Cant get Camera Roll or Photo Stream images off my iphone 4

Cant get Camera Roll or Photo Stream images off my iphone 4.  Ive got everything turned on to support the icloud function and my itunes shows syncing, but nothing. Any ideas what Im missing?  Thanks A Million!

You can delete them from your phone by opening the album that contains them, tap Edit, tap the photos you want to delete, the tap Delete.  You can also import camera roll photos to your computer and delete them after importing as explained in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

  • How to get camera roll pictures to computer?

So I wanna get my camera roll pictures to my computer before I completely redo my ipod cause Im scared theyll be deleted. I know on computers with out windows 8 you can go to "my computer" and find you ipod name & get to your pictures. On the computer I want to use I have windows 8 (with all the colored tiles)
Is there a way to still do that?  i plugged in my ipod to my computer & tried to do it but couldnt find my ipod name.
if anyone knows what to do get them off & to my computer with out itunes & what i have to do isnt that complicated, please let me know.

Try using the photo-management software built in to your computer's operating system:
Mac OS X: Open Image Capture (located in the Applications folder).
Windows XP: Open the Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard by choosing Start > All Programs > Accessories.
Windows Vista: Open Windows Photo Gallery by choosing Start > All Programs.
Windows 7: Choose Start > Computer. Right-click on the logo of the device under Portable Devices (if present) and choose Import Photos.
    Additional Information
Windows 7 Ultimate N edition or KN edition may not recognize iOS devices as cameras if the Media Feature Pack is not installed. This is available from Microsoft as a download for Windows 7 N with Service Pack 1 and Windows 7 KN with Service Pack 1: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=31017ed3-166a-4c75-b 90c-a6cef9b414c4.

Have you installed any camera or scanner programs on your computer?

  • Is there any way to get camera roll pics from Jan-Apr of this year that are stored in a backup of an iPhone on iCloud without overwriting the current iPhone data (and pics)?

OK, here's a fun challenge for everyone out there. My wife got an iPhone 5 for Christmas (2012) last year, and we purchased the iCloud backup to go with the new phone. She was backing up her iPhone as usual (when plugged in and connected to Wifi), including the camera roll (we didn't figure out how to use the Photostream feature until AFTER we had to reset her phone as described below).
So...in April 2013, she had to reset her phone--wipe out everything on it--and start over again. At that time, we discovered the photostream feature, and have been backing up pics from her iPhone to my PC (and a portable hard drive) since April. But, we do NOT have our pics from Jan-Apr 2013, and are both kind of freaking out that we lost 3 months of our kids lives (including both birthdays). I believe they are stored on iCloud (as part of a back up image from her iPhone stored on iCloud). I would like to get those pictures, but the only way I've seen from user threads to get those pictures is to RE-load a backup image on her iPhone, then take the camera roll pics and put all the pictures on a shared photostream so that I can then get them on my PC and save them off. But, to do that, my wife would have to put her phone back 8 months, which as anyone could understand is not something to be done lightly (it is her work phone also).
So, long story short, we have some pics on iCloud that I need to get to---how do we get back those pictures? Can someone from Apple pull down the backup image to get to the pics, then put them on our iCloud photostream?
Thanks so much for your help, and Happy New Year!
    Dave

sure pretty simple.  make a backup of your current settings
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766?viewlocale=en_US
then restore device from old backup you need pics off of
    then import pics to computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
you may need to save pics to camera roll first
then restore the new backup and sync pics back to phone via itunes

  • Get camera roll from a prior backup without overwriting your existing photos

So I think I have some photos on the camera roll in a prior backup that I did that I'd like to restore, but I don't want the backup which just contains those photos to overwrite the existing camera roll on the iPhone, which contains a different set of pictures.  Is there a way to get the old photos from the backup and append them to the existing camera roll on the iphone?

  • Can I get Camera Roll photos onto my iPad?

In addition to dealing with that annoying optimizing/syncing over 6,000 photos everytime I sync my iPad with my iTunes, I find that none of the Camera Roll photos from the iPhone that I also sync with the same iTunes comes over.
When I moved from my iPhone 3 to my iPhone 4, (and when I lost an iPhone 3 and got a replacement), the backup/restore feature worked flawlessly, so I know that a copy of my iPhone photos are on my computer.
How can I get them over to my iPad?
(Also, does anyone know an easy way to convert them to jpg and where, specifically, do they live in the iPod Photo Cache folder???)
    Thanks!
    Randy

The iPod Photo Cache folder is just a temporary folder used for sync. You can delete it and it will be recreated next time you sync.
"When you use iTunes to sync photos to iPhone, iPad, or iPod, iTunes creates a folder called "iPod Photo Cache" in the top level of the folder you selected for your photos. Picking another folder to sync does not erase the previous iPod Photo Cache folder. Depending on how many photos are being synced, your hard drive could fill up."

How have you transfered you iPhone photos to your iPad? The photos I take with my 4G iPod Touch are jpgs when synced to my computer. You need to place your iPhone photo is a single folder and place that folder in the folder you use to sync your photos.

  • How do I get camera roll pictures from icloud that have been backed up and then deleted from phone?

I didn't have enough storage on my iphone 5 to download ios7.  I backed up my phone to icloud then deleted photos on my camera roll.  When I got ios7 and went to update from icloud, the camera roll picutres didnt come back.  How do I get them back?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Camera roll photos may take a while to repopulate your new phone, are you sure you have given it long enough.

  • Get camera roll in chronological order

Is there a way to ensure that Camera Roll sorts photos in chronological order?  Obviously, the shots I take on my iPhone itself are in the right order, but ones that I import into Camera Roll from other sources (shared Photostreams, my other iDevices, edited on my iMac etc) appear in the order in which I save them to Camera Roll, which creates a random and rather useless compilation.  Thanks

My iPhone 4 camera roll decides to rebuild the library every once in a while and everytime this happens, it moves my most refer pictures and places them some where in the middle of the camera roll, making my last pictures I took with my 3Gs the most recent ones showing at the bottom. Small inconvenience but it looks like someone at Apple screwed up in setting up the sequence numbering of these pix and now it's a pain for the end users.
Has anyone experience the same issue and been able to successfully solve the problem? Please help.
    Thanks

  • Hi trying to backup iphone camera roll but only the last taken pics will save, how do I get camera roll pics onto the photo stream?

    hi please help thank u

When you set up photo stream on a device that takes pictures, then only newly taken pictures go to photo stream, not older ones.  To get them to photo stream, you must sync them to a computer and then on that computer (in iphone or Aperture if using a mac) copy the photos to the photo stream group.

  • 4s  has 5000 photos on it computer crashed so i have a new one how do i put all photos onto computer and not just camera roll ones

My computer crashed and my i phone 4s has over 5000 photos on it ,ive reinstalled itunes but i want to know how to get all photos from phone to computer ,im to scared to snc it as i dont know if i will loose all the photos ,i can get camera roll by basic computer hook up can some one tell me how to do this without loosing my photos thankyou to anyone who can help

to copy photos from your iPhone to your computer you can either use photo stream via icloud and the icloud control panel for windows see http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html  OR plug your phone in and open up  your "my computer" and navigate to your iPhone it should provide you with a way to view the photos just like any digital camera.

  • On 8.1, how do I delete photos from camera roll but not from photo stream?

I recently updated to iOS 8.1 on my 5S and was happy to get camera roll back, but unlike in the past, when I delete a picture from camera roll, it also deletes it from photo stream.  This makes no sense; I want to delete it from my phone while keeping it in photo stream - is there something I'm not doing?  Is it a problem with 8.1?  Any help would be appreciated...thanks.

You can't. The albums that you created on the iPad do not actually contain copies of the photos, but merely pointers to those photos. If you remove the photos from the camera roll, they will be removed from the iPad. Albums on the iPad are simply for your own organization on the device. Those albums cannot be imported to your computer either, since the photos do not exist in the albums.

  • How do I transfer video I've made from camera roll to cumputer?

How do I get my video from camera roll to computer? Every picture transferred but not one of my videos??

At work, will have to check if I have QuickTime 7.6.2 or later, other then that I did everything the link said to do. • Possible to import movies to Camera Roll?

    Hi!
I accidentally removed movies from Camera Roll after importing them to PC. Now I need them back in order to edit them with ReelDirector.
Is it possible to get movies shot with iPhone camera back to Camera Roll from computer?
    Best regards,
    Niklas

is it possible to get movies shot with iPhone camera back to Camera Roll from computer?
Not through the itunes sync process. Movies synced to your phone, through itunes, are put in the ipod app on your phone. There may be a third party app like this that could put these movies back in your camera roll:

  • Camera Roll and tiff

I am looking for a way to get Camera Roll to export a tiff.  Here is the issue, I have installed ProCam2 on my iPad (4th Gen) running iOS 7.0.6 which allows me to use my iPad as a DSLR and to capture images as tiff. I need to upload that tiff to Islandora, a repository platform I use for work. The upload dialog in Islandora allows me to upload from the camera or Camera Roll. Choosing Camera Roll I can see the tiff, but Camera Roll uploads a jpeg instead.
I can't quite figure out where the issue lies, though it seems to be in the upload process. When I import the image into iPhoto it is a tiff and if I add the image to Dropbox from Camera Roll its a tiff. But If I email the tiff it goes out as a jpeg.
    Ideas or suggestions?

No, effectively you are just creating pointers to those photos in the new albums, so if you delete the original photo then you also be deleting all pointers to them as well
