  • Get Connected issue PC Suite 6.8 and 6.7

    Info:
Windows XP SP2, Nokia PC Suite Version 6.81.13.0, Connectivity Cable Drivers: Version 6.81.1.2
    Nokia 6680, firmaware V 2.23.05
I have installed the new PC Suite, had 6.7 running before and that worked fine for Bluetooth and cable connection. Now with new PC Suite I get the error message at the ´Get Connected Wizard´ that there is no available connection found and the connection to the phone cannot be etablished. Second message states "Failed to detect available connection types, please reinstall PC Suite".
I reinstalled several times, even uninstalled (used the uninstaller of PC suite too) and installed 6.7 again but get the same message there now as well.
Bluetooth itself sees the phone and is already paired with it again. Under Device Manager, I can also see the USB connection (Cable).
Please help me fixed this issue, what is preventing the Connection Wizard to see my existing connection to the phone?

Hello Manta and fuzzy_logic, Thanks for the quick reply, tried both suggestions, even uninstalled pc suite and reinstalled it, to no avail.
If I go to manage connections I get the following error message " Connection to PC Suite failed. Please reinstall Nokia PC Suite. (code: init IMediaControl2).

    Hi jogray40,
If you using are PC Suite 6.8 try this:
Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Select 'Nokia PC Suite Solution' -> Change -> Repair. After that open Connection manager and check is it there.
If that did not help try this: Click 'Start' -> 'Run' -> add command: regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\PCSuite\Transports\NclIVTBTMM.dll" . After that restart PC.

    Aprreciate help on this.

To resolve this, you need to reconfigure the "Oracle Application Testing Suite Helper Service" (OATSHelperSvr) to start as a user who has privledges to run open script tests rather than the default SYSTEM user.
    Reconfiguring the OATSHelperSvr Service:
    1. Open the services panel (Start > Run > services.msc)
    2. Find the Oracle Application Testing Suite Helper Service
    3. Right Click > Properties then select the Log On Tab
    4. Specify an interactive user that has rights to run OpenScript (test by logging in as that user and running tests):
    5. Click OK
    6. Restart the service after dialogs are closed by Right Click > Restart
    7. You should now repeat this process for the "Oracle Application Testing Suite Agent Service" (eLoadAgentMon) Service (Two services in
    total)
You should now retry running the test in Oracle Test Manager

  • How to get E-Business Suite session.

I want to get E-business suite session in Java program.

    Hi User,
    TRY THIS..!!
    FND_GLOBAL.APPS_INITIALIZE (Server)
    Variable      Description
    Summary
    procedure APPS_INITIALIZE(user_id in number,
              resp_id in number,
              resp_appl_id in number);
Description      This procedure sets up global variables and profile values in a database session. Call this procedure to initialize the global security context for a database session. You can use it for routines such as Java, PL/SQL, or other programs that are not integrated with either the Oracle E-Business Suite concurrent processing facility or Oracle Forms (both of which already do a similar initialization for a database session). The typical use for this routine would be as part of the logic for launching a separate non-Forms session (such as a Java program) from an established Oracle E-Business Suite form session. You can also use this procedure to set up a database session for manually testing application code using SQL*Plus. This routine should only be used when the session must be established outside of a normal form or concurrent program connection
You can obtain valid values to use with this procedure by using profile option routines to retrieve these values in an existing Oracle E-Business Suite form session. For manual testing purposes, you can use Examine during an Oracle E-Business Suite form session to retrieve the profile option values.
    Variable      Description
    USER_ID      The USER_ID number
RESP_ID      The ID number of the responsibility
RESP_APPL_ID      The ID number of the application to which the responsibility belongs
    Example
    fnd_global.APPS_INITIALIZE (1010, 20417, 201);
    Hope this is Helpful

Also something that you might want to do is to search this error number on OTN.

  • CONNECTING PC SUITE TO PC (NOKIA 6102)

I have installed and uninstalled to many times to count. It's not like it never worked. I managed to get my photos off once. The next time I tried I couldn't get it to connect. I have Win XP, a new Gateway 825 My phone is Nokia 6102 and yes my Cable came with a cd. I have tried both numerous times. Online download and CD. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, still says phone not found.
The following is what came up as I tried to connect again. I am following the instructions word for word. I wait till download is complete, like it is telling me to, before I plug phone into Usb port.
Phone with red x on tool bar after downloading latest Nokia PC Suite from Nokia site. ( 6.80.22) Click the get connected and it says on my phone screen Data enhancement connected and right away says data enhancement not supported.
I have been following the post of uncfingers and your responses and have also done everything you have suggested there.
    Waiting you answer
    Thanks
    Dee

It looks like the port isn't configured correctly (and don't ask me how to do it but I think it did it automatically the first time I attached the cable to the pc). I have the cable connected and then I get two options: CA-42 USB-to-Serial Bridge (COM7) and COM3. Obviously I select the first one. I sometimes get the enhancement not recognised on the phone but I ignore it and it usually connects.
So to repeat, I have the cable connected for the steps above, I then disconnect the cable and click on Get Connected and then follow the instructions when to re-connect the cable and then the phone.

    Hi Guys,
Downloaded and ran install for version 6.84.10.3, now PC Suite won't connect to my phone. It sees my 5500 when I click on 'Get Connected', however, when I select the 5500 and click 'Finish', nothing happens.

    Hi ar_gee,
What is your BT stack and is your Vista 32/64 bit?
About Music Manager -> maybe reset for music manager settings helps so could you try this (I check those folders from XP so there maybe some difference in Vista):
    1. close music manager (if it is open)
    2. Open folder C:\Documents and Settings\"username"\Application Data\ and rename file NMM-MetaData.db to NMM-MetaData.db_old
    3. Open folder: C:\USERS\My Music\ and rename folder "Nokia Music Manager" to "Nokia Music Manager_old"
    4. Open Regedit (Start menu > Run > give command: Regedit) and open key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nokia\ and rename key "Music Manager" to "Music Manager_old"
    5. Start Music Manager -> does it work now?

  • Get my PC Suite 3.2 to work again (PC Companion not wanted)

It seems the older PC Suites can be better and you can lose a feature when they upgrade (e.g. the upgrade for 3.2 had the data counter dropped). That's why I hesitated to allow PC Companion to download but I thought I could always reverse again and get the PC Suite back (I have the cd-rom).
After PC Companion was installed I found that the only function that works is Internet Connection. As soon as I click on [back] to access any other PC Companion function it auto-disconnects from the internet and when, you click on any function, it tells you to connect to the internet and download software (for Text Messaging, syncro etc.) It assumes that you also have a landline connection to make these extra downloads. PC Suite 3.2 could do all the functions without first disconnecting from the internet or downloading extra software through a landline connection. It would also tell you if your phone's time was different from the pc time.
When I try to set up PC Suite 3.2 again the phone's driver installation does not complete and I get a balloon message: [GTP device] and the installation hangs. The Suite might also give a phone connection sound alert but it then disconnects. This happens every few seconds. I sent all this information in a few forms to Sony Ericsson but after the first response to say they would be helping me within a few days, I got no answer from them.
Their call centre said that the PC companion must have altered my pc so that it can no longer make use of any previous PC Suites. What I have noticed with PC Companion is that it seems to make internet connection in a different way. After plugging my usb cable from the pc to the phone, the phone display indicates that some kind of data message is sent. This didn't happen with PC Suite so it seems to me that the PC Companion has altered the way my phone operates, rather than altering my pc. This is supported by the fact that my old PC Suite cd-rom installs the program with no hitches. The problem comes when the phone is attached for the first time and installation of the second set of drivers, sent by the phone, fails near the point of completion. I have a w890i and an older w850i.
I can uninstall PC Companion but I need a solution to complete phone driver installation after re-installation of PC Suite 3.2.

Unfortunately I am not aware of any method to resolve this as in most cases simply loading up PC Suite then attempting to make use of its functions will prompt an update that leaves you with PC Companion anyway. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

  • "Get connected" window keeps popping up on startup...

    Hi all,
Since a while now I'm faced with this little nuisance. Everytime I start up my PC I get this message asking to connect a mobile device. My nokia is already connected just fine via blue tooth. Nomatter if I go through the options and add it again or if I just close the window, it keeps popping up at the start up.
    Any thoughs about this issue?
    I'm using the following software:
    Windows XP Home SP3
    Nokia PC Suite 7.1.30.9
    EEE PC 1000HE
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Ah, I think I figured it out.
When Nokia PC Suite starts up at the system start up, my laptop doesn't have the bluetooth service available yet - so the PC Suite isn't connected to a phone yet - hence the pop up.
If however I start up the Nokia PC Suite with a delay (a batch file with an artificial delay for instance) then bluetooth IS available and Nokia PC suite connects automatically and no longer pops up the "Get Connected" window.
    Yay!
Thanks for your comment, it helped steer me in the correct direction.

  • "Get connected" wont detect available connection t...

When I press the "Get connected Button", and click "next", an error appears and says "There is no available connection and therefore connection to the phone cannot be established. The wizard will exit". After this, another error will appear, "Failed to detect available connection types, please reinstall pc suite".
Well, im using windows xp service pack 2, the usb cable that i have is the ca 53 (included in the n70 music edition box).
    Please Help! Thanks in advance!

Same thing is happening here. Pc Suite used to connect perfectly happily. Went to use it today and it gave the error. Tried verifying the install. No change. Uninstalled it and it stuff my anit virus, sorted that out. Re installed Pc Suite still not working. PC spots phone being connected Ok and updates devices as expected. If I click on "Manage Connections" then I get the error, "Connection to Nokia PC Suite failed. Please reinstall nokia PC Suite. (Code: Init IMediaControl2)"
Could this be related to the Microsoft Critical updates released during last week? I haven't used it since doing those but it could be a week or three since I did last connect the phone to the pc.

  • PCSuite "Get connected" freezes after issuing pass...

Hello, I just bought two identical 6125s for my wife and myself. Having downloaded the PCSuite, I thought I'd make backups of both phones just in case thru Bluetooth. However, I managed to get just my own phone to get properly connected, and made a successful backup. When I tried with the other one, it never got past the passcode issue in Get Connected, and now, my phone doesn't get past it either. I restarted both phones, restarted my PC, reinstalled PCSuite, and nothing works. Direct file transfer does work and I have sent many files thru BTooth all day. The system is as follows:
Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP Build 2600 Service Pack 2 Language: English

  • 'get connected ' problem

    Hi,
i recently bought a CA-42 usb data cable for my Nokia 3220. After installing the drivers and pc suite onto my windows Xp computer, i attempted to plug my phone in. I used the 'get connected' section of pc suite and went through the first few stages, selecting data cable. Then, when it said to plug in my phone, i did, yet nothing happens. The egg timer comes up and stays there. It never says the phone is connected even though it is and the phone is switched on etc. i would appreciate any help in the matter,
    thanks
    robbo

To me it seems that the cableyou have bought is not Nokia original and among the non-Nokia original cable there are a lot of them which do not seem to work OK. The first step is important, if the phone does not notice that there is a cable attached, it is impossible to expect that the connection will happen between phone and PC.
If you would have Nokia original cable, you don't need separate drivers for cable, because everything is integrated to Nokia PC Suite, check here:
