Getting contacts back on your N95

I have been sent a new N95 after i broke the last one. In the Nokia PC Suite i still have all my contacts, txt msg etc, however i can't seem to copy them back to the phone. I have tried copying the contacts folder to the card or the phone but i got no joy. Does anyone have any ideas?

Contacts are allowed to be copy into the phone. SMS has some limit.
You can check for the backup file in folder C:\Document and Settings\[user name]\Application Data\Nokia\Content Copier .
p.s. The 'Appliction Data' folder is hidden by default.
What's the law of the jungle?

  • Is there any way to get contacts back after them being deleted form iCloud?

My dad recently asked me to update his phone, so I plugged it into my computer to do so. For some reason just doing that resulted in his settings to change to have iCloud contact sync on. This resulted in our contacts syncing so his would show up on my phone and mine on his. He went on to delete all of my contacts from his phone, not realizing they were also being deleted on iCloud (therefore from my phone as well). I don't even understand why my contacts were not saved on my phone in the first place but all transfered to iCloud, but now they are gone from there as well. I tried restoring my phone from a backup on my computer a few weeks ago, however, this just restored everything else except for the contacts. So what I'm asking if there is any way to get contacts back that were ONLY on iCloud (because apparently apple doesn't realize saving something to a single place on the cloud isn't a good backup) but now are deleted. Does iCloud save this sort of information even after it is deleted?

The issue isn't that I need to restore the contacts from iCloud to my phone, it's that the contacts on my iCloud themselves have been deleted.
The contacts might be deleted from icloud.com, but if they were on your phone when you created your last backup, they can be restored from your backup by following the user tip.  The backup is separate from the data you see on icloud.com.

  • Did restore, pc froze, rebooted, auto-synced to another account-needed to "setup as new" - how to get contacts back?!

okay...2 days ago the iPhone 4 vibrated for a good 45 min. did a hard reboot on the phone, stopped vibrating, locked on call screen, can't answer or recieve calls. Talked to a tech support last night. Was told to do a restore, saved all of what we could beforehand and after it was done with restoring to click on "Setup as new" opt. I did so, my pc froze while it was syncing the apps through iTunes so I had to reboot. Without realizing I didn't unplug the phone it auto-Synced into another iTunes account and contacts, etc. I NEED the previous contacts that were saved last night on this phone! How do I back to "set up as new"? or get those contacts back?!

    Hi Becki ..
You need to "authorize" the Mac.
Launch iTunes on the Mac then from the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click Store > Authorize This Computer.
Now, using the same Apple ID as you used to purchased iTunes media originally, you should be able to sync all your content.

  • How do i get contacts back to outlook from icloud

I have a new ipad air and a pc with windows 7 and office 2010. Apple store advised me to download the iCloud control panel so I could sync contacts etc with the ipad. Also I have an iPod Touch (second Generation). I sync'd the iPad and now when I go back to the pc my Outlook contacts are gone to iCloud. I need the contacts in outlook (as well ?) so that email from Outlook is seemless. Also all my contacts in my Ipod touch are now gone. Help!

As far as I know, Outlook will always default to My Contacts when you open your contacts.  Just click your contacts in the left sidebar to view your iCloud contacts.
If you need to get a copy of your contacts to your iPod, download the app My Contacts Backup to your iPad.  Use the app to back up your contacts as a vCard attachment to an email.  Send the email to yourself, then open it on your iPod and tap the attachment to import the contacts to your iPod.  They will not sync changes you make on your iPad or in Outlook, but you'll have a copy of your contacts.
(If you really need to be able to sync contacts with your iPod, create a Gmail account and add the contacts to Gamil from the vCard backup.  You can then add the Gmail account to your iPod, iPad and Outlook and sync contacts with Gmail across all your devices instead.)

  • Getting contacts back without activation-iPhone 3g

I am unable to restore my contacts because I recently switched companies I work for and don't have current phone service. I backed up my contacts in iTunes before the service went dead. So in order to try and get the contacts back I did a restore. I am dead in the water because in order to complete the reload from a previous backup you must have phone service. I backed up in order to try the retore so the SIM card is blank. It is not a software nor hardware issue, I simply want my contacts back. Is there a way to get them back without signing up for a new plan or hacking the phone?

Contacts are designed to be synced with a supported application on your computer. Did you have an Exchange account with your previous employer and you were syncing iPhone contacts over the air with your Exchange account?
If not, with XP you can sync contacts direct via the iTunes sync process with Outlook 2003 or 2007 along with calendar events, or with the address book used by Outlook Express.
With a non-activated iPhone, as long as the no longer activated SIM card remains inserted in the iPhone - the SIM card that was used with the iPhone when the iPhone was activated, you should be able to install a firmware update or restore the iPhone with iTunes if needed or wanted. I do this with my no longer activated first generation iPhone.

  • Getting Contacts Back?

Ok here is my problem my phone account has been canceled from my dad for things i did, anyways yesterday my dad said i can reactivate it now, when i called AT&T they took me through a process and they told me to restore my phone. after i did that, the dang restore erased all my contacts from my list, and the lady on the phone told me that once my phone gets activated in 3-5 hours i will get my numbers back.Well its been a day and a half already, my phone doesnt work and now all my songs and contacts are gone, so its like i now have a new unactivated phone. Is there anyway i can get my contacts back? or is that it? the guy at the apple store told me that you can still get your contacts back from computer because it saves them.

You have to sync it back to the same computer you originally synced it to and originally backed up your contacts to.
If you didn't back up your contacts to Outlook, or Address Book, or Entourage, or some of the other supported programs, then you are NOT getting any of your contacts back.

  • All contacts gone after deleting old Outlook (exchange) mail account from iphone.  How to get contacts back?

I deleted an old company mail account and when doing so it deleted all the contacts on the iphone.  How can I get them back?  Can I do a restore where I import ONLY the contacts?  Or does Restore just overwrite everything?
When I connect my phone with itunes and go to the "Info" tab, it asks me if I want to "Sync Contacts with Outlook" where outlook is a choice from a dropdown menu.  The question I have is what contacts are stored on itunes, if any, and which way it will write them --->  phone to itunes or itunes to phone.  Since my phone contact folder is empty right now, I want to get these back from itunes.  I am hoping those outlook contacts are stored on itunes and can then be downloaded to my phone, but I do not want to do a complete restore as the last time the phone was synced was a long time ago and contacts will be lost.  If the sync writes an empty contacts folder onto itunes then the restore will not even be an option.  Just want to make sure I do not overwrite any contacts that are stored on itunes.
By the way, icloud for contacts was not on so I do not have that route of recovery.
    Help.

Exchange contacts exist only on the Exchange server, and are automatically deleted when the account is remove.  This is standard security policy of Exchange accounts.  They would not have been backed up to iCloud in any event.

  • How do you get ringtones back on your iphone that you bought?

When my Iphone updated to the new ios last year, I had lost all the ringtones I bought. When I got to the Itunes store and do ringtones puchuresed none of them are there. Then I had bought a few new ones than restored my phone and lost all those. How do I get them back on my iphone?

You don't get your ringtones back if you didn't transferred your purchases to computer iTunes. Only for purchased music , apps, books that you can re-download for free.
    Audiobooks, ringtones, and tones
If you made a backup of these items on your Mac or PC, you can sync the items to your iOS device. You can't download these items again from iTunes in the Cloud.

  • How to get MDI back in your Acrobat (from version 9.0 and up!)

    Hi all!
I just recently start using Acrobat quite heavly and I realized that the lack of MDI was hogging my taskbar!
I search the net and found the MDI vs SDI blog: http://blogs.adobe.com/acrobat/2008/09/mdi_vs_sdi_in_acrobat.html
The case is clear, Adobe will not let us get MDI back, even if many users complain...
Now I have some skills in programming and I wanted to get this support back.
Note: This is a "hack", so it could crash and you might loose your work for that session. In the start, please save alot!
Download the app, called Acrobat MDI, here: http://lars.werner.no/?page_id=595
(No installation required, just an exe)
Any comments will be answered at my site, I want multiple users to check if it works!
    Thank you for your time!
    Best regards

    Thanks OT,
I did the list of repairs APPLE support gave me, but I do not believe it included thte Option+Command launch. Is that a full rebuild that risking losing my organization (books, slideshows, etc)?
I do have two external hard drives which I alternate every few months in case of fire, and which are connected (one at a time) with time machine. Apparently during the internal hard drive failure I missed that the external backups stopped working, and the faulty hard drive would not let me back up when I tried before the recall. NOW my backup works, but it is backing up the faulty data! If I use the old back up I lose 4 months of data, if I use the new I have the fautly data. I think I am back to reloading with the DVD's I made. By the way, I made them becuase I had a computer AND it's external hard drive fail beyond repair 4 years ago. At that time I was able to rebuild my photo library from discs becuase I had made a CD or DVD of every project as I downloaded it from the camera. Heres to backing yourself up in multiply ways!
    Oh my.

  • TS4147 Is there anyway possible to get contacts back that were not backed up on the iCloud?

When I updated my phone I had to erase my phone completely. It did not bring back all my contacts, therefore I'm guessing I didn't have the backed up on iCloud. It might be stretch but is there anyway I can get my old contacts from before the restore back?

Apple States that you should be able to restore from the most recent 3 back ups. if your contacts aren't in these, there isn't much you can do.
