Getting contacts in my Skype account that I didn't...

Question

I use the Skype app on my Windows 8 Laptop. For the past 2 months, random contacts have been appearing in my Skype contact list. I never added these contacts nor did I received a request to be added. These contacts were just added without my consent or knowledge. Ironically, the contacts are of old classmates of mine. But still, I am not sure why random contacts are being added. My Skype account is only linked to my Microsoft account. Years ago, it was linked to my Facebook account but I delink it and deleted my Facebook account years ago.
So far 3 contacts have been added. And I manually had to delete all 3. Since I opened Skype several years ago, I have changed my email recently. The new email that is linked to my Skype account is a new account and I removed the old email account that I opened Skype with. And no one has the new email so it is not possible that they are searching for me with my old or new email.
