Getting Dates

Question

I have two table table1 , table2
table1
unit     price     eff_date     duration
ABC     5000     7/2/2010     28
XYZ     2000     14/03/2010     35
table2
unit     split
ABC     10
ABC     70
ABC     20
XYZ     50
XYZ     50Split column in Table2 is multiplied with price in table1
5000 * 10/100...5000*70...etc..
and the corresponding eff_date has to be generated as per below rows
and if we have 5 eff_dates for ABC unit..then the last two Eff_dates have to be filled in with zeros as we have only three split values for ABC unit
can you pls help me on this

I don't know what query you're running, but it works fine for my query:

(ETA: Although the fact that your "level" column is out of order when compared to your dates would be the place I'd first look at, if I were you!)
