Getting Different Colours with RAW, in Photoshop
Hi
I have a Nikon D80 and naturally i shoot in RAW. I spend alot of my time out on location, using filters and custom settings, ensuring i get the colours and light levels that i want because i like to keep post production to a minimum. When i transfer my shots to my laptop via picture project i see my results and i'm pleased, the colours are the same. I then need to convert them to JPEG so i load them into photoshop and the RAW controls pop up and the colours on the image are completely different, they are washed out and the image has lost it's clarity and sharpness. Even the white balance is giving out a different reading as to what i actually shot. This is very frustrating, what is the point in me spending hours sat in a freezing field getting the colours and lights i want, to come back home and different programs show completely different versions of the picture i originally took. So then i have to sit for hours on end moving sliders to try and replicate the shot i took. rubbish!
I would be very grateful for any suggestions to different software i could use, or how to get around this problem.

Thank you very much, Sorry if my last message sounded a bit arsey, i'm just getting very frustrated with this. i just enjoy working with the camera and getting good shots. I will spend some time in the Camera Raw forum, and learn about it a bit better.

IPhone screen is different colours with a black mark in the corner and lines on it. Help?

Try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. If that does not work, then the LCD has probably failed. Despite the fact that the glass did not break, it does not mean that it was not damaged. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have it looked at.

How do I get my colours correct again in Photoshop CC 2014? White is showing as beige or cream.
For some reason my White has turned to Beige/Cream?If I select CMYK 0,0,0,0 I get a beige colour and as nice as beige can be I actually want white.
Does anybody know how I can get the colour/display back to normal?Sounds like you have a bad monitor profile.
Monitor profiles are associated with the monitor by the operating system, e.g., through the Color Management function in Windows. To return to the Windows default, add the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile and make it the default.
Then, if you're looking for accuracy, get a calibration and profiling device and generate a custom profile that properly describes your monitor as it operates connected to your system.

Problem with working with raw in photoshop
I edit an image in raw in adobe photoshop cs4 .
everything looks good I save the imaged
the image looks fine in firefox and internet explorer
but when I open the image in some other application like a stand alone image optimizer or google chrome the image looks like its lost all color or something ??
can anyone help me

try open it in google chromeDocument profiles are not "better" or "worse" overall. A blanket statement that one is "better" than another is an oversimplfication. Different profiles have their uses and each has its advantages.
I mentioned the link at the bottom of Camera Raw so that the MrMikeyNZ would know WHY he ended up with the Adobe RGB profile embedded in his image.

[Solved]Getting different results with PKGBUILD and compiling manually

When I compile this one package manually and install it, it works 100% however when I try it in a PKGBUILD the compile fails.

Working with RAW files in PSE9: Doable or better to use PSE12?
I have PSE 9 and will soon get a camera with RAW capability. I notice that Adobe no longer supports PSE 9. Am I in for trouble if I don't upgrade to PSE 12 since I don't know how to work with RAW files? It sounds as if I will need something to convert RAW files? Where do I get it? Is it a big deal for a beginner with no software skills?
You can download a free DNG Converter from Adobe and then convert your RAWs to DNGs which can be used in PSE9.
You don't need PSE12, but if you want to purchase PSE 12, you get the most current features in the Raw processor (which in my opinion is a huge improvement over what is available in PSE9), and you don't need the extra step of converting to DNG. -
Bridge 5.0.2.4 with camera RAW 8.4.0.199 ON a MAC 10.10.1. Trying to update to camera RAW 8.7 to get my canon 7dMK2 raw files to work. But the updater say I have the latest update! Witch I clearly don't have . And my Photoshop have to different camera RAW plug-ins. The old 8.4 and the new 8.7. But it doesn't work. Have removed and reinstalled several times. What is going on? Why can't I update bridge to the latest version 8.7 or read my raw files from the Canon 7dmk2?

I work with a Mac & I had to restore my computer for my time machine back-up. When I attempt to open/edit a photo with either camera raw or photoshop I get the following error message: Error 150:30 , it also sys that licensing for the product has stopped working?
Unfortunately when Adobe products are restored from backup, especial CS4 and especially Mac, it breaks licensing.
There is a python script included in the license recovery kit that should work if you are familiar with Terminal.
If not, you must reinstall your CS4 suite. You don't need to delete your preferences, so it should be the same as before.

I was just sitting on the couch scrolling through facebook, I closed out of that and went to open safari, when it spazzed out, for a few mintutes it looked like LSD vision, it was all different colours and flickering the whole time. I turned it off and on again, and plugged it into my computer and now the right side is nearly completely blue, and bleeds to the left side with horizontal lines, and it is still flickering. I just finished paying the **** thing off. I thought I'd get another year out of it. I have taken exemplary care of it and it hasn't left the case since the day I bought it. I haven't dropped it, there was no warning for the screen to start doing this. So my question is, is there an easy fix (I am about to restore and update it, and I already played around with the screen brightness), and if not, am I going to have to pay for the screen to be replaced, because I don't have that kind money.

How to get consistent colour prints from different Macs?
Hello Forum,
we are unable to get consistent colour prints from the various Macs in our office. There is only one printer, and for the sake of this discussion only one PDF file to be printed. The Macs have various OSes, from 10.4.11 up to 10.9.5; most are Minis of one vintage or another.
The printed results *should* IMHO be identical no matter which computer issues the "print" command, but they are far from that. Some computers print with a reddish tint, others with too little saturation or too much brightness (to put it in Photoshop terms).
What exactly must we do to get identical results no matter which computer does the printing?

p.s. May I just say what a ridiculous pain in the neck it is to have to choose from that list of purchasable Apple products aka communities? Some questions, like this one, do not belong in a single community or at least there is no community whose title describes our problem. I am uneasy filing it under "Mac Mini" because there is absolutely no reason to believe that the problem is a misbehaviour of *one* of our Minis. In the old days, when help was geared to users rather than to pushing the sale of further Apple products, there used to be forums with titles like "Printing problems".Thanks for the suggest, which didn't solve the problem — because it wasn't a Mac problem at all. Acrobat Reader was getting the colours wrong! Setting "Print as image" in the Print dialog extensions solved it.

I need to get the Adobe Camera Raw to convert my Raw shots to jpeg. Do I buy Photoshop CS6, Photoshop CC or can I just get simply the ACR? I am not a professional photographer and am only using photoshop sparingly. I currently have an old version of Photoshop, the Photoshop CS4. Thanks.
The program would stop, but the files would remain on your computer. Before stopping, you could do a batch convert to tiff or png, with a strong recommendation for tiff. Png only support transparency whereas tiff supports layers, live type, transparency, etc.
Keep in mind the app you open the tiff file in may not support all of those features, but it could if they tried.
The psd files I would backup to a cd or dvd before removing for space, but if you have the room, keep them as some apps do support psd files.
Best part is when you are ready, you can start your subscription again and use all of those files once again. -

I have photoshop C6 on my MAC Pro and want to install it on my new MAC desktop. I sent the files with AirDrop but photoshop wont open I get an error message that it cant find the Library. Any thoughts?
