Getting divorced want to change name on accounts, email, etc

Question

Getting divorced and want to change my name to reflect my maiden name on my apple ID, email address, iCloud, etc. Currently my Apple ID and email is [email protected]; want to change it to [email protected] I understand I might need to create a new account, but having trouble finding step by step instruction to do this without loosing data, calendar, music, etc. I use iCloud heavily for syncing across multiple devices, so I am very concerned that doing this is going to mess things up. Please help. Thanks.

You are correct that to get a new iCloud email address (without creating an alias address) you will have to create a new iCloud account. 
To migrate to a new account, start by saving any photo stream photos you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward pointing arrow), then tap Save to Camera Roll.  If you are syncing notes with iCloud, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.  If you are syncing iWork (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) documentes with iCloud, back them up to iTunes (see https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3542). 
Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password when prompted (if using iOS 7).  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.  When you turn on Mail you will choose your new @icloud.com email address (type carefully as once created this cannot be changed).  You will then have to recreate any notes in your new account by from the emails you sent earlier.
If you have multiple devices, you will only have to migrate the data on one device.  Once the data is in your new account, on your other devices just save any photo stream photos to your camera roll, delete the account, choose Delete from My iDevice and provide the password when prompted, then sign back in with your new account ID and your data will sync to the device.
Music, apps and other media purchased from the iTunes and App Store is permanently tied to the ID used to purchase it originally and cannot be moved to a different ID.
