Getting duplicate SCCM guids after changing comp name

OK I understand the duplicate GUIDS I get when imaging as I believe the person who set up the image is putting the agent on the image, but I went to several machines running Win7 and changed their names, now they are all showing up with duplicate
GUIDS? It also appears that what we had set for 2007 is not clearing them out in 2012 - anyone have away to fix these? What I saw was for 2007, so I am sure I am just missing something. Thanks for your time.

Can't find some files after changing drive name

I keep all my music files on an external drive, and my iTunes folder (and iTunes Music folder) on the internal drive. After changing the name of the external drive, a good number of files (not all, and probably not even most, but a lot) couldn't be found by iTunes.
I'm suspecting that this problem results from having my files stored externally and separate from the internal default iTunes Music folder, but I'm hoping someone can give me some more details about this and hopefully help find a solution. Thanks.

In the root of the filesystem there normally is a folder "lost+found", in which files with strange names are found. These are the files cvfsck has collected in the recovering of the filesystemnames. It is sometimes not possible to recover the original file name and location. So this is the only way for cvfsck to give them back.
If you think the content of these files is allright, you can rename and relocate them.

Itunes showes the old names of these Airports but they have been renamed in a newly reconfigured network. Itunes will play through the attached Airport attached speakers. The Airport utility shows the correct new names.

Hi turingtest2 - thanks for the reply. As you say It is how it is - and I have three workstations in this home (not counting three for my children and one for the family) and I pretty much always have more than one OS on each - that's how it is for me. I shouldn't have to worry about how many OSs I have (or how often I change them) just to have music while I'm working - through the PC sound system that is. I never have to worry about any other software, only iTunes. Once in a while (in the past) I've made a vendor call if I changed to many things to often (like CPU, GPU, memory, etc - or even a replacement MB) - but that hasn't happened in a couple years (at least since Vista) so I think (hope) they have fixed that for good. And even then it was a quick call and problem resolved. The only (glaring) constant problem is iTunes - limiting my own use of my own music (by counting an OS as a physical PC). Even with VM (which is just another OS) - although you can Attach things to multiple active OSs - it's still your own (purchased) music - and all on one PC. Thanks again!

After changing track name, sequence no longer alphabetical

I decided to make a few changes to my iTunes library to ensure that, for all my classical music, the song name was preceded by the composer's name in the few situations where this was not already the case. So I made the necessary changes through the usual Get Info/Details which worked fine.
But I found that, when I then sorted by Name, the list was no longer in proper alphabetical sequence since the tracks that had been altered were still in their original position. The revised names were showing but out of sequence.
I tried switching to other sequences before returning to Name sequence to see if that might clear things but it did not help - the old order still remained when I returned to Name sequence
Any ideas why this might have happened? I am using iTunes 12 on a Windows 7 PC

When I right clicked on the column heading and enabled Sort Name it was obvious that the "normal" tracks had no sort name whereas the problem tracks had a sort name equal to the original name. I then went into Get Info/Sorting and deleted Sort Name from the offending tracks and this worked fine.
I will just need to remember that, if I am changing the name in Get Info/Details, I will need to also blank the sort name in Get Info/Sorting

Permission denied after changing short name

i have tried searching for answers but still no luck. im kinda scared mdealing with the terminal but have tried a few but to no avail. i hope somebody helps me with step by step solution as im not really well versed with mac yet. thank you.

That's one thing you should never do without asking first.
The short name is what your data permissions are linked to - change it without the proper procedure and you get the situation you find yourself in now.
As you're on Tiger, it's not a simple fix either.
Try this article from the X-Lab for recovery.
Then, if you really must change the name follow;
The right way (scroll down to 'OS X 10.4.11 and earlier')
Note that this requires enabling and logging in as Root. If you choose to do this, be very careful to do only what the instructions say. You can wreak untold damage to your system if you get curious and start poking around.

Password not accepted after changing user name

I changed my user name in the system preferences -> user and groups -> advanced options.I did not change my password tho.
I then put my macbook to sleep. When I wake it, it won't accept my old password!
I did some searching online, and found solutions which work for previous versions of Mountain Lion or Lion here. OS X: Password may not be accepted after changing user's full name
However I believe I am using a 10.9.3 (I may have updated to Mavericks, I am sorry I forgot), so none of these tricks work for me.
Can someone help me out? much thanks!

VG224 - some ports show "unregistered" after changing domain name

hi,
recently i have changed the domain name of a VG224, before the change, all ports shows "registered" from the CUCM.
after I changed the domain name from VG224 and CUCM, the VG224 can be registered to CUCM, and some ports can register too...only serveral ports showing "unregistered" in the CUCM. But from the VG224, everything is normal. and call/ fax can be made successfully from those "unregistered" ports.
anyone has idea what's going on?

Reset or reload the gateway.
Further Problem Description:
The proper way of changing a gateway's domain name is:
- Stop Gateway's mgcp service (gateway command: no mgcp)
- Chnage the domain name in the gateway and in CCM.
- Start Gateway's mgcp service (gateway command: mgcp)

How do I reconnect media after changing file name?

The original file name is 1001.WAV I changed it to Take1 . How do I relocate the files? I use Pluraleyes to sync all my files.

Change it back. NEVER change file names in the Finder level if the media is in an FCP project. Change it BEFORE you import it into FCP...or change the name IN FCP. What you did was bad bad wrong wrong. Expecially since you already did things like sync it up with pluraleyes.
Change it back. Then change the name in FCP.

None of the links or buttons do not works after change the name of the page

I made some modifications on the original page and changed its orijinal name LoaSummaryPG to XXLoaSummaryPG. Although all of the components are the same as the orijinal one, none of the links and buttons are not working in the newly copied page. Neither only changing the name LoaSummaryPG to XXLoaSummaryPG nor creating a new page with a name XXLoaSummaryPG did not work.
A page works with no error and the data shown is correct when it opened.
Is it about regionMap.xml? or what can i do?

I can't make any other action in the page. Now, I can only say that al actions in the page except about this page link and personalization link cause this error.

Filter button doesn't work after changing worksheet name

I am using Bex 7.10. I have a workbook with 2 queries. I want to change the name on the Tab for each sheet but when I do that the Filter and Information buttons no longer work. Is there a way to do this?

Check in the Design mode and right click on the Filter tab and check do you see all the filters listed?
If not you can reinsert the query to a new workbook and try.

Pb connecting from client to database after changing domain name

Hi,
I've got 3 databases wthis 3 listeners. all worked well since we change domain name. database server is in DMZ and is reconize witn 2 IP adresses.
I can ping with tnsping but when I run sqlplus user/passwd@ORACLE_SID I've got this message : ERROR:
ORA-12535: TNS : le dÚlai imparti Ó l'opÚration est ÚcoulÚ
on local host this command run well and connect to database.
is there somebody that knows this problem and its solution?

i have to migrate all of my vmware horizon but for example my domain name is now a.com but i have to migare it to new domain b.comit means my domain name and ip adress will be change also connectios server ip adress vcenter ip adress now i want to know if my domain name and ip adress change and also all of my vm and vcenter and ... change will vmware horizon work after these changes ?

Horizon View is depended on AD and this task is not trivial.
What needs to be done depends on your setup and configuration and you will need assist from VMware Support and you should first replicate the setup in a test-environment.

ISE node registering after change domain-name

At Customer Site I changed the domain name of our 4 ISE server before they were registered to any deployment. I regenerated a self signed certificate and started to register the other nodes to the deployment. This went well for the 2 PSN nodes which have a ip address in a different subnet. I tried to register the presumed secondarry PAN/MnT node and got the following error message "
Node beiing registerd has FQDN 'ISE-PAN-AP02.office.intern' which cannot be resolved. Please check your DNS configuration."
My DNS config is in order.
Can anyone please tell me want possible can be the cause of this?

Please check these Prerequisites:
The fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the standalone node that you are going to register, for example, ise1.cisco.com must be DNS-resolvable from the primary Administration ISE node. Otherwise, node registration will fail. You must enter the IP addresses and FQDNs of the ISE nodes that are part of your distributed deployment in the DNS server.
•The primary Administration ISE node and the standalone node that you are about to register as a secondary node should be running the same version of Cisco ISE.
•Node registration fails if you provide the default credentials (username: admin, password: cisco) while registering a secondary node. Before you register a standalone node, you must log into its administrative user interface and change the default password (cisco).
•You can alternatively create an administrator account on the node that is to be registered and use those credentials for registering that node. Every ISE administrator account is assigned one or more administrative roles. To register and configure a secondary node, you must have one of the following roles assigned: Super Admin, System Admin, or RBAC Admin. See Cisco ISE Admin Group Roles and Responsibilities for more information on the various administrative roles and the privileges associated with each of them.
•If you plan to register a secondary Administration ISE node for high availability, we recommend that you register the secondary Administration ISE node with the primary first before you register other Cisco ISE nodes. If Cisco ISE nodes are registered in this sequence, you do not have to restart the secondary ISE nodes after you promote the secondary Administration ISE node as your primary.
•If you plan to register multiple Policy Service ISE nodes running Session services and you require mutual failover among those nodes, you must place the Policy Service ISE nodes in a node group. You must create the node group first before you register the nodes because you need to select the node group to be used on the registration page. See "Creating, Editing, and Deleting Node Groups" section for more information.
•Ensure that the Certificate Trust List (CTL) of the primary node is populated with the appropriate Certificate Authority (CA) certificates that can be used to validate the HTTPS certificate of the standalone node (that you are going to register as the secondary node). See the "Creating Certificate Trust Lists in the Primary Cisco ISE Node" section on page 12-24 for more information.
•After registering your secondary node to the primary node, if you change the HTTPS certificate on the registered secondary node, you must obtain appropriate CA certificates that can be used to validate the secondary node's HTTPS certificate and import it to the CTL of the primary node. Program won't work after changing pacakge name

I'm building an Address Book that uses GUI (swt) and I need to change a package name. When I change the package name eclipse tells me
"Type ... contains a main method - some applications (such as scripts) may not work after refactoring"
After the name is changed some functions that worked in the previous folder stop working (saving and loading of an address book to and from a file). When I change back the package name everything works.
How can I change the package name and keep my program working?

A problem I've hit in the past is that an old .class file is still there, located in the class tree according to the old package name. This can be picked up by other classes you're compiling in preference to your newly positioned source.
Flush out your classes and rebuild the whole thing. That should throw up errors if there are any imports you need to change.

Data deleted after changing ID names

Hi,
I have been having some issues with replacing ID's. Basically, we will sometimes created a temp ID for forecasting, and then replace it with a permanent one when ID has been created in SAP.
So the issue is that, sometimes, not always, when I am replacing an ID, and after I validate and process the dimension, all the data associated with that ID will be lost. So basically, I process first without a full process and wait for the new IDs to replace the old IDs on the spreadsheet, then I perform a full process.
I have also, only performed a full process and the issue was still present. Again, this seems to be sporadic and I am not sure what I am doing to cause this.
When changing the ID name, I am putting the new ID in the "New ID" property.
Also, we are on BPC 5.1

You're right, I was have the same issue. When you put the new ID on property "NEW ID", the data will be transfer into the new ID and will be clear in the old ID.
