Getting email instead of Safari
Whenever I tap on the safari button my email inbox comes up. How do I correct this?
In Safari, tab the bottom right icon, then tap X to delete the page.
Also if needed, in Settings > Safari > Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data.

People are getting my email instead of contact name?
Not sure if there is a way around it or not, but whenever I start up a conversation through text on my iPad and I haven't previously had a conversation going for it to show up on my iPad, people get my email address instead of my number which would be in their contacts with my name. So essentially they'll ask who this is, I'll explain and I say to merge the two contacts. Just that is a hassl, is there a way around this at all?
Under messages in the settings, under Send & Receive it has my email address which I can remove if I want, would that get rid of my email address when I send a text and they would supposedly be getting a text thru my email instead of my contact number? On both my iPhone and iPad I have that email under Send & Receive, if I deleted it would people stop getting my email address for a text or FaceTime (also happens for FaceTime) and just get my number instead (and if my number is in their contacts practically my name)?
I Just got a new iPhone a few weeks ago and haven't been experimenting heavily until the holidays now. Plus I got a iPad a few days ago. So that's why I've been getting these problems.
On another note, if it helps at all, my iPad has cellular for AT&T.Does anyone know at all?

A website I frequently visit will no longer come up. Safaris says that my connection has been lost but it hasn't. I even get emails from the website but I still can't get on it. Why would it all of a sudden do this?
The reason, I included the annotation that I'd upgraded my Itunes, (On my Computer) is B/C in many forums - the very first question, *HELPERS* ask, is. "Do you have the latest version of Itunes downloaded on your computer." I wanted to knock out any obvious replies.
Now- "DO YOU have any idea,"... how your UNHELPFUL remarks, do absolutely nothing but hurt others that might not have the EXPERIENCE you have? How do you expect people to know things without asking questions? Whew! RUDE!!

I get email from a friend and it shows my name instead of hers as the sender. how can i fix?
I get emails from a friend of mine and when i receive them they show my name instead of hers as the sender. I will often miss them because I often copy myself on important emails. In my address book, her email is correct.
How can I fix this?Does your mail account allow you to view the same message in a browser (webmail interface) to see whether this is a problem local to Thunderbird or actually exists in the message on the server?

New iCloud account on iPad gets email, cant connect to safari
i setup my old iPad for my cousin, with his new iCloud email and iTunes account. The iPad gets email from his new iCloud account and his old Frontieer account, but safari cant connect. Tried logging in to iCloud , but it said "invalid email or password" . We reset his password using my new iPad then tried logging on with his old iPad and got the same message.
I did reset and erase all content on the iPad. At my house we set up a new iCloud account for my cousin and added his old email to his new/used iPad. We did not sync it to his computer(we were not near his computer at the time and his computer is an old pc laptop. i didn't think it could be synced to it.) when he left my house he was able to get his email (old and new accounts) and search the web. At his home he gets his email, both accounts But can't connect to safari. Tried to log into iCloud and got the "invalid email or password" response. We changed his password using my iPad but got the same "invalid email or password" response.
Demo, are you saying that the iPad needs to be linked to his desktop(old laptop)? I was hoping to avoid that because he was having trouble with it, I know nothing about pcs and I was hoping to convert him to apple because of its simplicity. The simplicity is avoiding us in this instance -
When I go to my email account through Safari, I cannot see all of my messages. It says there are 34 but I can only see 26. However, at the bottom right the arrows to go to the next screen are not highlighted? I also cannot scroll any further down. Does anyone know how to scroll down to see all of my messages? I use Travel-net Communications as my email provider (Ottawa, On, Canada).

if it is showing you 34 mails them it is correct. when you see your mail. apple has a smart way of arranging your mail.suppose you recieve 4 mails from one email id it will show you under one highlighted mail. so when you open a mail from anyone trying scrolling it down and you will find your missing mails. -

I am trying to download Firefox on my apple phone 3. I currently open email, web in safari, I also need Firefox to open certain email. When I try to download it keeps saying safari cant download. I dont understand why? Hope you can help!
Thanks!The Firefox browser doesn't run on the iPhone or iPad or iPod Touch. There is a Firefox Home app, but it isn't a browser.

Email links in safari go to chrome
when I click an email link it goes to Chrome instead of Mail.app

BukoGuess I answered my own question -- you can enter fake email info to set up an account in Mail in order get to Preferences. However, when I set the default email reader to Safari, then clicked a mailto: link, it opened Mail. When I checked Preferences again the default was set back to Mail. So that actually didn't work.
What did work was an extension for Safari called Mailto:. Now whenever I click a mailto: link, it composes a new Gmail message using Safari.

Okay, so I don't have 10.4 on my computer yet but a coworker does and I activated my phone on his computer. Our email comes through another server and I can get to it on our website on Safari. I tried setting it up by selecting Other in my email and entering the incoming and outgoing servers and it worked. Kinda. I stopped getting emails to my desktop so I went in and turned that account off and my mail on my computer started working again. I thought maybe I could turn them on and off and get it to work that way, but it seems to be screwed up now. I ended up just deleting the account on my iPhone. Any suggestions? I hope this made sense!! Thanks
Since you're doing a manual e-mail setup on the iPhone, you need to use IMAP instead of POP so that your messages stay on the server. Then your desktop system can remain the true owner/manager of the messages. Of course, your server has to be configured to permit IMAP operations which may be beyond your control in a work environment.

I use Outlook for my email on the Safari web browser, and about 90% of the time when I want to attach a pdf or jpg file it fails and about 50% of the time when I want to send a standard text massage it will also fail and the email massage crashes. The only way I can get my Outlook to work is if I switch to Firefox web browser. I would rather not switch to a new web browser if I don't have to.
It seems like what ever the problem is that its related the Safari web browser, because it works fine on the Firefox web browser.
I think its some kind of plug-in failure because it giving me a LOC ERROR:
LOC ERROR: Unable to locate localized string for resource ID 5007.
How can I fix this Plug-in?
And, yes my softwer is conpletly updated…That's an Outlook issue. You'll probably get better responses posting on the Office for Mac forums.

I can no longer get email on my account
I can log-in to Apple but when I try to get email the system tells me my password is incorrect ... I've tried to change my password but nothing helps ... please help!!!

My iphone 4S was not able to fetch mails from the server ( outgoing and incoming)
I was trying to configure my exchange account and follow all the procedures correctly but am having trouble in sending and receiving mails as the error says " cant get mails cannot connect to the server? where seems to be the problem?
Have read from the support services that if you using a Pop3 account into another device which I did ( my email was configured via outlook for mac in my macbook) there might be a lock out problem and cannot get emails on the second device which is my iphone? ( I want to set up my exchange account to my iphone so wherever and whenever i go i cant still access to my email easily. Please help.No one seems to be hearing what Big Q is saying.
He can pair his iPhone to his Macbook, but cannot CONNECT. He's NOT asking for alternative solutions, like Wi Fi.
I am able to both pair and connect my one one Macbook to my other one, but I can only pair but not connect my iPhone or iPad to either Macbook. So I have the same problem. But I can pair and connect my Macbooks to other Bluetooth devices, like my ancient Nokia cellfone, or my Bluetooth HP printer.
It's irrelavent that I can instead use a direct USB cable or Wi Fi between my Macbooks and my iPhone/iPad - why can't I use Bluetooth? If Apple does not allow Bluetooth between it's Macbooks and other Mac devices, then why have Bluetooth at all? Does my iPhone have Bluetooth only so that I can pair and connect to my my non Apple mobile handsfree car kit, or communicate easily with the dreaded Apple enemy Samsung, or what?
Make no mistake , I am a diehard Apple fan, but this Bluetooth non compatibility issue appears shortsighted and seemingly pointless. Why does Apple not just say why they created the non compatibility, or have a message on the Bluetooth setup programme which simply and clearly says "don't bother wasting hours of your time trying to pair and connect your iPhone to your Macbook, because we don't allow that anymore, reason being that............"?
As a first time user of this Forum I am surprised at the intolerant and highhanded tone of some of the replies to what is a legitimate question, that is obviously plagueing many, many other Apple users. -
I am the co-owner of a large electronic cigarette company and use my phone quite a bit for email notifications and ever since the last update 7.1 (11D167) my iphone wont render emails properly if they need more downloaded from the server. It redownloads the entire email inside the original email instead of just the missing portion of the email making it difficult to read and a huge annoyance. Please see attached screen shots I took with my phone for more info. Of course for security reasons I had to block out customer data which is why it has black strips all over it. Is this a bug of some kind or is there anything I can do to resolve this issue?
The first image is how it looks initially the logo is cut off the top cause i had to scroll down.
The second image is the email inside the email. I have to scroll sideways and down to get to rest of it.
The third image is the full email that is inside the original email if i scroll all the way to the right and down to position it on my screen and is also how it looked before the update when it wasnt having the issue of loading in the email it would just render to look like that as a single email and not overlap itself.not a single reply in 2 days? hmmmmm

When I click on an email link in Safari, it opens Apple Mail for me to write an email. But I do not use Apple Mail anymore. I use yahoo mail with Safari. How do I get Safari to stop opening Apple Mail?
I changed default email reader in Mail to Safari, closed Mail preferences, quit Mail. And when clicking on a mail link in Safari, it still opens Mail. And when I check the preference, it has reverted back to Mail as the Default email reader. What do I do to get it to stop openinng Mail. I want to use Yahoo mail in Safari for my email.
