Getting emails on my iPhone without any content in the body of the email What's up?
Why doesn't anything show up in the body of my emails. Worked fine yesterday
Two things to try:
1) double click the home button to bring up the active apps at bottom of screen. Press and hold any app there until the icons shake and you see a red circle with a minus sign on each app. Tap the minus on the Mail app to close it. Press the home button twice to return to the home screen. Open mail and see if it's OK
2) Reboot the phone. Press and hold the power button at top left and the home button at the same time. Slide to power off. Wait a few minutes and power on again.

First let me say that I am ready to throw this POS in the lake. Is there a way that I can control iTunes with my iPhone without any internet connections? On my houseboat I have a wifi router and want to connect my phone to my computer to control my music which plays from my computer through my stereo. I can easily do it with my laptop without having to jump through any internet APPLE BS , but I dont want to have my laptop out on the deck. I just want to use the phone as a remote control.
Remote wont do it because it keeps saying Im not connected to the internet, even though is is connected to my computer. Same problem with JumiAmp.It should have an option to manage iTunes library without network connection, like Bluetooth or connect directly to the computer without a router or wi-fi, i live outsite of the city and i dont have the ability to control my iTunes librry from the iphone

How do I email photos taken on the iphone, without having them embedded in the email? I would like to have them as attachments, not shown in the body of the email.

Yes there is,
When you recieve a mail with an attachement (inline or as a picture) right click (or control click) the attachement and choose "show as symbol" or "show fullsize" (or completely or something like that, I don't work in English version). Mail will take this as a general preference.

first open itunes on windows computer
there's a small shaded box in upper left corner click it and show menu bar
now go under view and show side bar
go under help and check for updates (11.1.3 current) - update if needed
plug in iphone (or ipad, ipod ect..)
when the device shows up in sidebar click on the name of device not the arrow
this opens up a summary page
across top says info, apps, music, photos, ect...
click on what you want to sync ie music
check the top box that says sync music select -entire library or selected songs and pick what you want by checking
now apply or sync at bottom

You can't send emails? Do you receive an error message when you try to send them? Have you done ANY troubleshooting on the device at all? If you don't have time to try things yourself, it will almost certainly take longer to try it in here.

I use some applications like Painter or Blender, wich I don't want to run in full screen mode.
It would be great to create Spaces without any content.

Bye MichaelYou have to assign the applications to a Desktop so they don't carry over. Decide where you want what application. Then go to that Desktop, control - click on the application in the Dock, select Options and assign it to a Desktop. Repeat as required. That is how you assign the applications so you can have blank Desktops.

I don't know what happened, the body of my email was not displayed any more. I must have unknowingly pressed something on my I Pad to cause this to happen ? I can read the preview lines ok, but not the mail itself, any idea how to fix this?
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Or...
Double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
Tap and hold any icon until it wiggles
Press the red to delete the Mail app
Press the home twice button when done. -

Using ora:getContentAsString(XMLElement) i only received a blank email without any content. I even tried to write the xml content in a file and used ora:doc() . Even then the body of the email is blank. Dunno wat i am missing here.

I can not sync my iPhone after restoring it - my computer only gives me the restore (again and again and again) option. I have no music and only a few aps now on my iPhone. Any tips before I go to the genius bar?
If you restored as new, without using a backup, and still only get an option to restore, there is a hardware problem or the phone was previously hacked (jailbroken, downgraded iOS, unauthorized unlock). Your only option is to take it to Apple or whoever provides iPhone service in your country.

I bought a new computer, and downloaded iTunes, therefore the new itunes doesn't have my music or anything on there. I want to get everything on my iPhone to my new computer/itunes. But no matter what I do, it won't let me. My desktop has everything that my phone has on it, I just want it all moved to my laptop. Does that make sense? I could really use some help. I don't live with this desktop anymore so I need to be able to use my laptops itunes. Please help me. Thanks in advance!
These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have iOS devices and haven't moved your contacts and calendar items across then you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then seeRecover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

I Have IOS 8.1 on my iPad & iPhone And I use gmail. When I review email trash on the iPad, many of the emails in trash have the wrong content. The body of the email appears as the content of another email also in trash. The same emails in trash on the iPhone & in Gmail trash on the PC are all OK. if I file the email back in the inbox it Still has the body of the email with the wrong sender and addressee. Any ideas?

Mail doesn't create .txt files from email messages; it sends exactly what you type. If some of your recipients are claiming they receive .txt files, that would most likely be due to their email client, which no doubt is running Windoze. Only they can solve that problem. If the message is okay in your Sent mailbox, that's exactly what you sent, so the problem is on their end. -
How do you email photos from an iphone to a business email so that the photo shows up as an attachment vs. a part of the body of the email?
Eric, thanks for the info about the pictures, it worked. The mail icon is not the one that came with the mac(it looks like a stamp with an eagle) this appears at a notepad with a ruler,paintbrush and pencil. I can not open it, I did not download it and now I can not turn off the computer with shutdown I have to manually turn if off by pressing the power button. This can not be normal. Any suggestions. thanks, Ellen

How do i put tv programmes and videos from itunes to another iphone, without having to delete all data on the phone and replacing it with my library? i switched the 'sync only ticked songs and videos' yet it still wont let me transfer videos from my itunes onto my new phone, any ideas??
Copy the entire itunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.

Send text file content as the body of an email using Send-MailMessage
I am taking the last 8 lines of a bunch of robocopy logs and bunching them together.

I then wanted to use this as the body of an email (send-mailmessage). It all works but the formatting is lost in the email. I've tried using Out-String and ConvertTo-HTML with little luck.
If I look at $a in the above it looks fine in the PowerShell console it's just lost when it reaches my inbox.
I am using v2 of PowerShell and sadly can't upgrade it.The issue isn't that part. It's the content of the log files that loses its formatting.
