Getting error  "Can't connect to database DBMS is not supported in your current installation" in Demantra

Hi,
I have installed Microsoft Win x64(64-bit) Demantra 7.3.1.5 on Win 7(64-bit).
When I try to open Business Modeler or Demand Planner or Business Logic Engine from :
Start -> Oracle Demantra Spectrum , I am getting same error "Can't connect to database DBMS is not supported in your current installation"
Below is a screenshot of same.
I can connect to Collaborator Workbench though, but when I click on any of the "Planning Applications" from the menu in Collaborator Workbench window, again error is thrown.
Error is  " Application could not be run! Error : undefined " as below :
I have installed Oracle DB Enterprise edition 11gR2(64-bit)
Please suggest where I am doing wrong.
Regards,
Vinni Sharma.

Hi Sharma,
Is this issue resolved? or still facing the same problem?
We need to setup connections details in ds.ini file under demantra_installation\Demand Planner\Security Management folder on the server side.
Regards,
Akshay

  • HT5271 I get error message that my version of Safari does not support community tool bar?

Everytime I open Safari I get an error message that saids This version of Safari does not support the community tool bar. How can I fix this situation?

That toolbar/ct plugin seems to cause problems for all who install it!
If you are running Tiger or Leopard:
Close Safari, then locate and delete the following files and it should be gone:
    /Library/Application Support/Conduit
    /Library/InputManagers/CTLoader
    /Library/Receipts/ctloader.pkg
    /Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg
    /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle
    /Users/<User name>/Library/Application Support/Conduit
where / is the root library on your Hard Disk.
If you are running Snow Leopard you should also look here:
    Library/launchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
    Library/Application support/conduit plugins
    Also, as mentioned by Gilli2000:
Library/Receipts - If you read it, it has information in it at the bottom referring extensively to "CT" and "community toolbar".
Maybe it is harmless, but trash those items anyway!
    If you are running Lion:
From the Finder Menu bar, select Go ▹ Go to Folder, and in the box that opens write:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Conduit
Delete the second item if it is there.
Now select Go to Folder again and enter  /Library
From the folder that opens, delete the following items if they are there (you may need your login password):
    Application Support/Conduit
    InputManagers/CTLoader
    LaunchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
    ScriptingAdditions/ct_scripting.osax
then close the folder. Now select Go to Folder again and write: /Applications/Toolbars
Delete that item and close the Finder windows you opened. Log out then log back in, and you should be rid of it.
Note: Safari does not support any third-party toolbars except those supplied as an extension to Safari via the Extension Gallery.

  • I can't get email. Get POP3 error . can't connect to POP3 server. It's not email vendor issue ... c

Good afternoon. For over a week I can't get email on MY DASH.  Can't see mail in my Gmail Viewer.  Get a POP3 error ... can't connect to POP server.  Thought it may be a Gmail interface issue so tried to get Hotmail and then Earthlink email in the Chumby email app.  Both give same message POP3 Error , can't connect to pop3 server.  I have done multiplr hard restarts / power off / "restore to normal operation" procedures.  I have searched the discussions and community and can find no mention of POP server issues.  Please help .... advise.  I'm a disabled, but still working, senior citizen without a fancy, internet, cell phone and my Dash's ability to display my email is very important to me.  I have the Dash at my bedside and My Dash allows me to see a message from a client before I would otherwise rise. Kind regards, Martin

    Dear Al
    Thanks for your reply.
I have just found out what's wrong. I went to the 'more info' section of my Chitchat application and it took me to a link where it explained that Yahoo Chat has ditched chatting with the Java protocol and chatters can now only chat via the Yahoo Messenger protocol, which is Yahoo Instant Messenger with Voice. Unfortunately Yahoo doesn't provide a platform for Yahoo Voice for Macintosh computers. Though the original link I went to provides another link to a thing called 'Adium' from which a Mac can access Yahoo Chat's new protocol, although it's not fully developed yet.
Oh...and thanks so much for letting me know about the Java update release. I did not know that I have to upgrade my system first to recieve the latest update information.
    Regards
    Tina

    Hi,
Please check Oracle support id : Troubleshooting ORA-3135 Connection Lost Contact (Doc ID 787354.1)

  • FCS DB backup failed w/error: "couldn't connect to database "template1"

    Hi,
I am testing two different FCS systems (on two different machines, the same config).
I wanted to backup FCS on one machine manually and it was not possible. I tried to do the same on the second machine and it was also not possible. I checked logs for automatic backup on both machines and everything worked until 22nd of April.
I am not sure if I did download some update, but I am sure I didn't change anything on both machines nor FCS settings.
I got this error message when I tried to backup:
*Backup failed: pg_dumpall exited with code 1.*
    *Checking for other backup processes...*
*Starting database backup to path '/Volumes/ProxyA/FCSBackups/Final Cut Server DB Backup on fcserver-1 at 2009-04-23 0000.zip'...*
*pg_dumpall: could not connect to database "template1": could not connect to server: Connection refused*
*Is the server running locally and accepting*
*connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5433"?*
Both systems work normally. I "just" can't backup the DB.
    What happened ?
    Thank you.

    Hi Sam,
Sometimes it is only because you have not set the environment correctly (ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID).
    Is your TNSNAMES.ORA correct?
If you do a "ps -ef |grep oracle" you should get a list of processes. Make sure you see PMON and SMON processes as well as the LSNR processes.
If you don't see the LSNR processes start the listener.
If this don't help try to start the DB manually and check with tsnping, otherwise come back again with mor info.
    regards
    Wolfgang

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 9 running on? I will assume Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit for now.
As for the Help Menu/Update way for updating, are you doing that with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled? If not, please do so.
Do you have the 9.0.1 Update of the program installed? What version of Camera Raw do you have installed?
Premiere Elements 9 is an older program where you can still do manual installs for that one and only Update. And, Camera Raw for 9 is no longer being updated.
    For the 9.0.1 Update
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4929
Camera Raw (last update possible for 9) is 6.5
    Camera Raw-compatible Adobe applications
Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Windows : Camera Raw 6.5 update
Please review and consider the above, and then let us know the outcome.
    Thank you.

  • I want to use Bayclays mobile banking on my IPad. When I submit my details I get error 00000 no connection to Internet.  BBC websites work without difficulty

I have an IPad2 running IOS8.0.2. I have installed Barclays mobile banking app version 1.7 and 1.10.
when I enter my details and submit them I get error 00000 no connection to Internet
at about the same time BBC websites work without difficulty.
I believe I am not alone with this problem.
    Does anyone have a solution?

    Hello there Boot5784,
It sounds like you are unable to use either if these versions of this banking app on iOS 8.0.2. I have an article here for you to help either get the issue resolved, or reach out to the developer if needed:
iOS: An app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open
    Restart the app
Close the app and open it again.
    Restart your device
Turn the device off and on.
Update your device software and your apps
Update your device to the latest version of iOS.
    Update your apps:
Open the App Store and tap Updates.
If updates are available, tap Update All.
If asked, enter your Apple ID password. The updates will download and install.
You might need a Wi-Fi connection to update some apps.
    Reinstall the app
Remove the app from your device and reinstall it. Remember that deleting an app also deletes its data.
    Delete the app.
    Press the Home button.
Go to the App Store and download the app again.
Wait for the app to download, then open it from the Home screen.
If the download stops, you can resume it.
    Contact the developer
If you see the issue again, contact the developer of the app for help:
Find the app in the App Store.
Tap the app and tap Reviews.
    Tap App Support.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • After iTunes 11 I get error 15006, cannot connect to remote device

Since I've updated to iTunes 11 I get error code 15006. I can go into iTunes and re-select the remote device (an Airport Express) and it works fine. If I put my computer to sleep it generates the 15006 error. It happens at my work computer too which runs the same basic network.

    Hello, Darktowerfan1.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here are a couple articles that I would recommend going through when experiencing this issue.
Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

Error: Can't connect to auth server at /var/run/dovecot/auth-master: No such file or directory
error showing up, there is no auth-master file in /var/run/dovecot
this has just happnened over night
any ideas how to re-install dovecot
google search goes on about linux but barely any info about max osx server

auth-master is created when you start the mail service. Deleted if you stop the mail service. If that is not happening, you may have to re-install mail. Dovecot is the IMAP/POP part of the mail service. I am not sure what happens if you disable IMAP. I am guessing it is not there. But that is the extent of any tips I can offer. I suppose you could reinstall, but that seems a bit extreme to me.
