Then it gives me the options to either choose an application, cancel, or search the app store. Please help!

We released a fix for this error on Tuesday. If you have downloaded the file prior to that, please delete it and download it again. If you have downloaded the file sometime after Tuesday it's possible your browser has it cached. Please delete the file(s) you have downloaded, clear your browser cache and download the file. I have used the Adobe Cleaner Tool many times and uninstalled other Adobe Products but neither has worked. I have uninstalled/reinstalled this CD version of Dreamweaver several times when changing computers and after having computer issues. A google search of the problem suggested it may be an error related to the number of times I can reinstall this product due to licensing issues. Please help.

Absolutely not. You are misinterpreting things. The activation check never happens when just running the installer, only much later. It means what it says - there is another "install" pending/ active on your system, meaning somewhere there is an (invisible) process still blocking things. Either way, since you haven't provided any real technical info, we can't advise specifically. if you are on Windows, you may want to check your task manager and terminate any setup.exe and msiexec.exe processes plus potentially may need to manually fix/ delete some registry keys. For anything beyond that you will have to be much more specific.

Update: Am now running FF7. Since original problem I switched to using Preview instead of Adobe Reader but that did NOT solve the problem. That seems to indicate FF may be the problem. I inadvertently circumvented the problem by installing PDF Download 3.0.0.2 just to check it out. This is a great Add-on! You can preview a PDF before downloading - which is a standard feature in Safari. I have not had the "Download error" problem since installing the add-on.

Hi, that message is due to the Download Manager(DLM). It's best not to use it. Use the link the poster provided and SAVE it to your Desktop. Then close all browser windows, disable any instant messenger services from your system tray. It may be better to download the Uninstaller and SAVE it to your Desktop first. Then run it, reboot and then run the Installer and reboot.
If you have any realtime Anti-Virus running, you may want to disable it until you are finished.

Unless you subscribe to Match, you will have to transfer your non-iTunes stuff from your old computer:

If you want to copy non-iTunes music off of your iPod (eg, if your old computer doesn't exist), you'll need to use a third party program. I don't know of any free ones anymore, but if you google, you can find several in the $19 range.

Did you reinstall CS3 after CC?
For that matter, doing an in-place upgrade on the OS is always a gamble with Adobe programs. Reinstalling all the versions you need, in order, would probably solve your problem.
And you shouldn't need to save as IDML after opening the .inx in CC.
