Getting extra quotation in BI Publisher extract

Hi,
I need to put double quotation (") in both sides of the dept description field. I used CONCAT function in my data model logical query to get desired result and I set output file as a .csv format. While the report opened using Excel, it shows me in desired output. But while report opened using notepad / notepad++, it's showing three quotation instead of one in both sides of dept description. I used below command in my logical query: CONCAT('"',"Long Description"||'"') as "Dept Desc".
And the output is: """10010-Retail-Canada""".
While desired output is "10010-Retail-Canada".
Anyone, please help.

path (/usr/openwin/bin/xdpyinfo). I am getting the below error.

Yeah, that was certainly a 32-bit installer file being referred to in the other message, too. (The 64-bit installer file is called iTunes64Setup.exe.)
Just in case it's an issue with your normal browser not working properly with the system-detection equipment on the page (there's a javascript control that checks for operating system specifics, and is supposed to deliver the correct Mac or Windows installers), let's try a different web browser for the download. If you use Firefox instead of IE (or vice versa), do you get offered an iTunes64Setup.exe instead of an iTunesSetup.exe?

Cut/copy and paste on the iPad I get extra text

When I cut/copy and paste on the iPad I get extra text symbols like "%". Is there a way to just copy the text without the extra stuff? If I copy from Safari and paste into an email I have to go and erase all the extra text.

the % is usually caused by spaces. It's an HTML 'glitch' in that, in the brain and logic of HTML, there should never be a space, so when it sees them it inserts % to fill that void that it's logic says isn't there.
I'm not sure if there is a work around beyond maybe pasting it first into a text document, then from there into your e-mail and see if that makes the symbols go away.

I am getting a black screen when publishing in Captivate 4. I have noticed patches that care for this with later versions, but is there something available for version 4.

This black screen issue was first discovered few months ago after the first Flash Player 10 release. Here for example, is PRS-T2 menu, with all reading books “appearance” selections. PRS-T2 (Esupport.Sony US)
About page size:
If you select from the menu as “font size” the second icon from left, you’ll have the original page layout of the ebook.
About fonts:
With fonts all depends on ebook's file.
If file includes one or more set of fonts, and you select on reader device Font Type “Original”, you’ll have the original fonts on reader and they will be also the same on PC.
For example:
If fonts in ebook were, Greek or Cyrillic or calligraphic or special characters, they will be also on reader device Greek or Cyrillic or calligraphic or special and they will be the same even on PC.
In this case we have the same fonts on PC, on Reader device and on original book.
But what happens if the ebook’s file does not include set of fonts?
Reader device will try to type ebook with the built-in characters (Amasis, Frutiger Neue, Helevetica ,Palatino, etc..) and probably they won’t be the same as the original. Reader device, also, doesn’t include special or other language characters and so, probably, you’ll see “strange” characters like “?” “%”, etc.
On PC now, most of these “special characters” are built-in, so most of times there’s no problem.
But quite always, PC's ebook viewer software selects different fonts and so we could have:
Original Book with one type of font, PC ebook with a second type of fonts, Reader device with a third type of fonts.

It is certainly possible to create a transaction variant in SHD0 for the transaction FBZ0. Create a scrteen variant like ZFBZ0. I have done and tested the same and its working fine. When you are creating the screen variant, system issues certain warning messages when you are out of the reallocated option. Just ignore them and create the screen variant.
Once you save the variant, you have to assign it to a package, 6-7 times the system will prompt for this depending on the number of screens in the transaction.
Assign the screen variant ZFBZ0 to FBZ0 transaction using SHD0.

Getting extra rows in 2lis_02_hdr extraction

Hi Gurus,
Facing an issue and requesting your help ..
When I am building setup tables for Purchasing conntent, I am ending up with multiple rows for the same PO in 2lis_02_hdr in RSA3. I have deleted the older entries and done all other required stuff. However somehow the numbers not look alright to me. Attaching a screenshot from RSA3, this is for one PO, and there are multiple request date/posting date. Am I missing something here?

Hello Debajyoti,
You can expect multiple entries for same Purchase doc in setup tables. The reason is that the same document was changed/cancelled many times during a particular time frame.
You can know this by the value of ROCANCEL. In your screenshot the ROCANCEL is changing from ' ' to 'X' and then back to ' '. If you go to the base table EKPO you can check the code for status of records. (ideally the Trans. PD) you will know that the same document is rejected and released multiple times.
Below is the example where the same record is present multiple times with rejected and changed values in the same extractor.
Please take a look at the ROCANCEL mechanism and you will understand why it is happening.

trying to publish a service provider system into the service registry. One thing not clear to me is how to get the uddikey as needed in step 6 in appendix 1.
My service registry is in a PI 7.1 SP4 system. I followed the instruction in appendix 2 but there is no uddi key displayed in the General tab. Please help.

There may be cases in which the NWA logical settings do not match the Services Repository
settings when Visual Composer is trying to locate the enterprise services. Such cases can occur
when there is no SLD ID definition of the physical system in the Services Repository.
Currently, Visual Composer cannot search for services on a physical system with an empty SLD ID
(which is not a valid one).
To obtain this capability, the following steps should be performed to generate the necessary data
for each system with a non-valid SLD ID, so that Visual Composer can search for services over it.
1.Log on to http://<serverName>:<serverPort>/WSNavigator.
2.Select the Services Registry radio button.
3.In the Find field, enter sr and choose Go.
4.Select the ServicesRegistrySi line and choose Next.
5.Under the Operation Name, search for the publishPhysicalSystems operation, select it and choose Next.

No worries, you can go to UDDI client from the main page of PI i.e. http://<serverName>:<serverPort>/
And you use the search function for the TModel for your Physical System. Search parameters can use the % wildcard.
Hit the search and you find the UDDI Key for the Physical System.

We are running the BI Publisher reports from Unix shell scripts. Please find below one sample code of the shell script

Parameter $1 and $2 are report parameters and Report name. After running this script, I need to capture JOB_ID and get the status from table XMLP_SCHED_OUTPUT for the corresponding JOB_ID.
Can you please tell me how to get JOB_ID.

Getting extra scenes when burning from imovie to dvd using idvd.

I edited a movie using imovie and got it n the sequence I want. Then I burned it to dvd using idvd. However, when I view the dvd, it starts midway through the video, goes to the end, then starts over and shows me the whole video.
The problem is, I don't see the extra part that shows in the beginnning on the dvd on imovie. How do I get rid of that extra stuff if I can't see it on imovie?

I have had the same problem. I spent an hour on the phone with Apple Support and they were absolutely no help at all. They told me to buy Final Cut Pro. The only thing I found that helped was to export the movie using Quick Time as HD as possible (which takes a long time) and then use that in iDVD, so that the version I have for viewing on a TV or whatever doesn't look cheap and lo-res. My old iMac and iMovie 4 was slow, but the quality was much better on finished DVD products of movies or slideshows. It *****.
