Getting frustrated can anyone help?

TLDR : I think I need a profile reset, but cant seem to get this across to call centers.

A while back my infinity modem developed a fault, it would run for a while, then begin to lose the line - only for 2 or 3 seconds, but then reconnect. This fault got worse until one night it was doing this every 3 mins. I am an avid online gamer, so as you can imagine I got a little annoyed!
I emailed customer services about the fault clearly explaining that the modem was faulty and I needed a new one.
They sent an email back detailing the best way to reset my router.....
I emailed back and explained that this wouldn't help as it was the modem that was at fault, and that my router was fine!
They then called me, and I went thru the rigmarole of explaining again what the problem was - a faulty modem.
To give this nice Indian guy his due, he seemed to understand, and told me a new set of equipment would be mailed out to me.
2 days later I received my shiny new router in the post..... great thanks....Still no modem....
in the meantime I had googled that the error was because the modem over heats, and as my setup is next to the window I fixed it by hanging the modem outside while I was playing
this worked ok, and I was about to calm down enough to ring bt again when I got the letter about all modems being replaced.
I now have my new modem, but due to the earlier fault, my line had gone from a healthy 37.5 down / 8.1 up to 12 down / 0.5 up.
I logged another fault and had a reply today to say its fixed - I now have around 32 down, but still only 0.5 up.
I would ideally like to return to my original speeds - as far as I can make out all that has changed is my modem.
Am I being unreasonable to ask this after the 2/3 months that I have been going back and forth with this?

Download speed achieved during the test was - 29 Mbps For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 12 Mbps-33.88 Mbps . Additional Information: IP Profile for your line is - 33.88 Mbps
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 773Kbps Additional Information: Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 10 Mbps
as you can see dl is ok, altho it would be nice to see it returned to 40, but there is definately something wrong with upload?
Should I continue down the route of emailing the forum team?

    (5) Uncheck "Use a Proxy Server for your LAN". (If that option is already unchecked, try checking and then unchecking it.)
    (6) Click OK to exit the LAN Settings dialog.
    (7) Click OK to exit the Internet Options control panel.
    (8) Restart the PC and try connecting to the Store again.

    If your phone service is provided by BT, enter it at:
    http://www.bt.com/infinity
    This will show when it is likely to be enabled.
    The Openreach website confirms your exchange is enabled, but obviously (from what you've said) not your cabinet.
    If you're not with BT, you could ask a neighbour who is with them to enter their phone number on the website above.
    When it comes to providers, all the ISPs use the OpenReach network for super fast, fibre broadband, except for Virgin, who have their own.
    Accordingly, if the check says not available in the near future, your only other option would be to see if Virgin provide a similar high speed link to your property.

  • Angry and Frustrated, can anyone help? (Zen Vision

    Hi. I am really upset right now, so please bear with me if I don't sound calm, cool, and collected during this post. I was getting tired of the slowing response time with my player. I came online this morning, and found the documentation for my player (30GB version.)?According to that documentation, it was relati'vely safe to use the "Clean up your player's firmware" option. Supposedly that should just fix broken links to music and such. I figured it would be no big deal, especially since in that same documentation, there is a huge warning written about formatting the player and losing everything if you choose "Format All."?After running the cleanup, I used the Reboot option. When the player restarted, it gave me a message that it was rebuilding, and finally, the player came back up again. Guess what? Everything is GONE! All of my music, all of my videos, everything!?Needless to say, I am quite a bit upset right now. Is there any way for me to recover my stuff? I mean rather than get back to the computer where my stuff is, and reinstall it's (I am quite far from that computer, and I really want my music back.)?I have submitted a Customer Service request, but the last time I did that, it took almost a week for them to get back to me. I'm really?hoping someone here can help me out. I love my player, I never even considered an iPod when I was looking for a player, but if this can't be fixed, I may have to reconsider my loyalty to this product.     A clean up shouldn't have done what you say it did, although I guess anything is possible.
    I don't have a Vision:M, but there should be an Information option, then system info screen where it will give you a break down of what is on the player.
    If no one here has a solution, (and I have a Sleek Photo not a Vision:M). try epizenter,net which is basically a large Vision:M help/fan site, it is a pretty good site for the Vision:M. (I hope the mods. don't mind this).
    Edited to add:Well, if you videos are there, your music is probably there also. Try looking in the main menu and choose music library-all music, and see if you see the music you loaded on the Vision:M.Message Edited by Tony3 on 2-22-200609:39 AM

  • Advice on Learning Photoshop and getting certified - Can anyone help?

    All,
    I am currently using Photoshop CS6 and have been gradually self teaching now since CS4. I am by no means an expert, perhaps barely even intermediate but I am keen to do something about this. I am a qualified Comptia Technical Trainer and notice that with the ACE exam under my belt I would be qualified to teach Photoshop. I have a long way to go and do not currently use Photoshop for anything more than a hobby.
    I appreciate I need to get some more hands on time with the application and also start tp produce some work and build a portfolio. However before I am prepared to put myself out there and tout for work I want to get to a point where I feel more confident with the feature set and feel that I know enough to claim some level of expertise.
    I have looked at the ACA exam and the ACE and both seem like viable options and perhaps both will be part of my journey. I cant afford the time in my current job and financially at the moment to do any courses so I hoped to start off with some self teaching. I have looked at Adobe classroom in a book and that seems like a good start but doesnt by any means take me to the level required. Does anyone have any recommendations for learning material that could help brudge the gap? Has nayone done these exams and has experience or tips they could share to help me get on my way?
    My current thought process is to get the classroom in a book and cover all the basics (some of which I will likely know, lots  I wont) then I wonder if thats enough skill to then take the ACA? If not what can get me there? Then I thought I would work towards the ACE, again though here I dont know what to do to leanr the skills needed? I cant seem to find any dedicated books. Is a course my only option or can someone recommend anything?
    I am aware that I have asked loads of questions above, if anyone can offer any advice on any of the above I would be grateful. Experiecne of the exams, good books to read etc.
    Hope someone out there can point me in the right direction.

    Yes. You can expect more CS6 resources in a few weeks/ months. There are a handful of new features that were introduced in CS6. However, the basics that you cover in CS5 will still help in CS6.
    I had looked at two options to start me off. There is the Classroom in a Book by AdobePress and the Learn by Video option Core Training in Visual Communication which seem good places to start. Do you know if either of these compliment each other or cover the same content? its not entirely clear from the limited descriptions on the website.
    I'm not quite sure. I have read/ gone through neither. I've learnt by experience.
    Its such a vast topic and so much to consider.
    More than the books, what will help you more is real-life experience. Books are only a reference point. Your experience will speak for itself in the test.

    The two HD clips were purchased from itunes (MPEG - 4) and converted to .mov for use in Final Cut Pro. Project properties - 720p HD 1280x720 (60p)

    Hi Just wondered if anyone can help with the above question? I had O2 phone unlocked and bought a local sim card, but although the calls are fine i have no option for internet etc.  I have done searches and got the info details from the sim provider to activate, but  instructions say i go to : Settings; General; Network and then Celluar Data Network, but I dont get that option ?  When i put back my O2 sim card, the option reappears?
    Can anyone help me please? Off to Australia again soon and really could do with it working properly this time.

    Hi Ronnie, was wondering what brand sim card you bought?
    Was it from Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, Virgin or Mayasim?
    I have a 4 S running iOS 5.01 is there an option in Settings - Network - Carrier? As this should be set to the supplier of the sim card. In my Settings - Network there is no option for Celluar Data Network.
    What version of the iOS are you using?
    Some prepaid sim cards may not have a lot of data, so I suggest searching the companies websites for the best deals before you come here. Telstra usually have good plans. If you take your phone to the shop you purchased the sim card from they will usually set it up for you. 
    Telstra runs on a different frequency to others and offers the best coverage in Australia.
    Just for the record I am not an employee of any mobile company.

    Edit > Preferences.  Select the check box for Ringtones, this will add them to the listing in iTunes.

    I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

    I Have an iPad mini, iOS 8.1. When I'm on my iPad, it keeps going in and out of random apps. Going to settings is the worse. As soon as I click settings and it opens,it starts clicking different things and tries turning on and off settings! In Facebook, profiles and status get clicked. The screen zooms in and out multiple times. It reminds me of when you call the help desk for a computer or a computer at work and they gain access and move around clicking and you're doing nothing. Basically things are being clicked and I'm not doing it.....can anyone help?

    At this point, I would go for reset to its factory default condition, using the iTunes program to get a clean system install. That way you'll clean everything out and just have it set up the way it would come from the factory. You'll need to do your backup (on the iTunes program too) and be sure you understand which stuff will be saved and which will not (from the links below). Also turn off any anti-virus program you may have on your desktop. Then when you reset it to the factory default condition, don't restore your backup just yet ... until you check it out without your data put back on it. Verify its operation first, to make sure that you know it's okay. Hopefully everything is okay at that point, otherwise you'll have to take it into Apple to check it out for any hardware failure.
