But if I open the origional file then it is not showing the characters.

Check this SAP Note: https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/821267
From the above SAP Note:
16. File Encoding
XML Files
Important: Even if you configure a File Encoding in the File Adapter channel, the File Adapter will not
-write the XML header to reflect the changed encoding, so you will probably see an XML parsing error later
during the processing of the message if you specify an encoding.

  • While recording in captivate 4 I get a pop at the beginning of each recording

    While recording narration over a PP conversion in captivate 4 I get a pop at the beginning of each recording,  It doesn't seem to matter if I use keyboard shortcut or the mouse. Any thoughts?

    Welcome to our community
    Is the unwanted bit part of the countdown?
    If so, there are a couple of ways to avoid it.
    1. Don't record your narration at the same time you record the actions. Record it separately. No narration means no countdown.
    2. After the countdown stops, consider that first slide to be a throwaway and ensure you don't begin recording in earnest until after you hear the first camera shutter sound.

    I use my mac book pro (Intel) now since 6 months
    I installed several programs and the start-up-sequence now is getting longer than in the beginning.
    Can somebody give me informations, where I can find information how to speed up the system

    Hi sevenstringer
    I have done most of the utilities in ONYX, f.e. all points in the register "Aufräumen" in english I think it's called "clear up" and also I've done also "Optimize" -> "Reconstruction" -> "Launch services".
    After done all of this items, my start up procedure is always the same (about 30 s).
    Is it possible that some programs, which I have installed can take this effects ?

  • Audio gets cut off at the beginning of slides

    I created a presentation with voice over narration, which is to be delivered via the internet.  The problem I am having is that the first couple seconds of each slide narration often get clipped. I've tried many different approaches to fix this.  One that has been marginally effective, but not 100%, is to leave a second or two of silence at the beginning of each slide.  I have also tried all of the different preload settings and lowered the audio quality as well. I just wish there was a way to make each slide pause until enough of the audio track was transferred, then start playing. Has anyone else had this problem, or better yet had any success fixing it?  Thanks in advance.

    If you have not upgraded to version 7 you should do that.
    If you have upgraded to Version 7, be sure to do the updates to 7.0.5
    Go to the Help menu and select 'About Adobe Presenter' to see what version, if it is 7.0, to 7.0.2 you need to update it
    drop down the help menu again and you will see an 'update' option.
    you need to install in order - 7.0.1, then 7.0.2 then 7.0.5 - you cannot install all at once
    another thing you might want to do is open the file you are working on in 7.0.5 snd save it out with a new filename in a new location to combat that pesky problem of the 'media.ppcx' file disappearing....

  • Garbage characters at the end of Caller-ID

    Hi, I've got a VPN 3000 (4.7.2j) set up to do AAA for the admin interface to my ACS server (4.1(4)).
    This account has a NAR on it and the NAR denies the authentication request and the reason seems to be that the Caller-ID field contains a suffix of garbage characters, " } " it looks like in the ACs log interface.
    Where can this come from? Is this a VPN3k bug or an ACS bug? How can I tell?
    Thanks in advance,

  • System.useCodePage=true - appending garbage characters to the data stream

    When using the AIR 2.6 SDK with System.useCodePage = true, garbage characters are appended to the data stream when text is loaded. The devices that we are retrieving data from are DBCS only so we do not have the luxury of using UTF-8. This was a known issue that has been resolved in the flash player but still exists in Adobe AIR.
    Any ideas?  A bug report was submitted on 5/31, but it remains in the Open/Unverified state...

    Hi Chris,
    This is great news.  Thank you so much for looking into it.  Would you have any idea on a timeframe for a release including a fix to this.  We are currently holding up the release of one of our products for Asia Pacific - waiting on this fix.  If it is going to be weeks or months, we will have to come up with another option.  We would rather not go down that path
    Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks again,

    The other night I was using a friend's Japanese iBook. I noticed that she the day displayed with a Chinese character in the menu bar and in the calendar widget (e.g., Her clock said 月4:27 instead of Monday 4:27), but her interface was in English (no Japanese menus).

  • Garbage characters in begining of Mac saved file

    I'm new to the Mac environment and Dreamweaver so please
    excuse me if this is a simple issue to solve. I've been having
    issues with Dreamweaver inserting garbage characters in the
    beginning of a file created and saved. In IE6 and 7, the pages do
    not format correctly due to these garbage characters. When I save a
    new file in Dreamweaver and copy it over to a PC, the garbage
    characters show up in any editor . Is there a setting in
    Dreamweaver to correct this issue?
    Below is the saved code..notice the garbage in front of the

    It's just a shoot in the dark. Deending on your settings, DW
    may insert a
    BOM:

    At the beginning of UTF-8 encoded files.

  • Garbage Characters in CDE Window Title Bar

    I recently patched our Solaris 8 Sun workstations (a mixture of Blade 150, Ultra10, Blade 1500, and Blade 2000) with the recommended patch cluster from December 19th, 2005. At the same time, I updated the systems' Java to 1.4.2_10, and installed Update 5 to StarOffice7, which is still on the systems along with the newer StarOffice8.
    When initially installed before these recent patches, StarOffice8 behaved correctly. After updating the systems, when I open StarOffice8 in a CDE session, I get garbage characters in the title bar of the window. The letters and fonts in the application menus are normal. StarOffice8 windows under Gnome sessions are titled correctly.
    I've read some emails about issues with LC_CTYPE and setting it to en_US.ISO8859-15, using a wrapper script to start soffice. The current setting on my machines is en_US.ISO8859-1. That solution doesn't work consistently on different machines (or even on the same machine).
    In fact, even without attempting to solve the problem, there is inconsistent behavior. On one Ultra10 which I have as a testbed machine, StarOffice8 behaves correctly, whether I'm logged in as a normal user, or as root. On a Blade 1500, it behaves correctly when logged in as root, but not as a normal user. I've also patched StarOffice8 with Update1 which was released today, but it doesn't fix the problem.
    Anybody else having similar problems after recent patching? Or have any suggestions for a solution?
    Jeff Bailey

    More Info on Unsolved Problem:
    If I use Mozilla to open a document file, with soffice set as the helper application, the CDE window title displays properly. If I leave that instance of StarOffice open, and open new documents using the menus within StarOffice, subsequent CDE titles also display normally. Also with that original Mozilla-driven StarOffice application still open, if I use "soffice whatever.doc" on a command line, those CDE windows appear normal.
    Mozilla is set to use "en_US" as the language for webpages, with Western ISO-8859-1 as the default character coding. The Solaris 8 workstation's /etc/default/init file is configured as:
    TZ=US/Eastern
    CMASK=022
    LC_COLLATE=en_US.ISO8859-1
    LC_CTYPE=en_US.ISO8859-1
    LC_MESSAGES=C
    LC_MONETARY=en_US.ISO8859-1
    LC_NUMERIC=en_US.ISO8859-1
    LC_TIME=en_US.ISO8859-1
    While the Mozilla "wrapper" is a workaround for now, I don't see it as a final solution.

  • T500 Keyboard types garbage characters

    I've seen this problem occasionally both on Vista and now on Windows 7 (64-bit) - now and then when I type on the keyboard I get garbage characters on the screen.  The characters seem to appear in ASCII-code order, for example if I type 'http' I might see '1234'  or some other 4-character sequence, in order.  This has happened in Thunderbird, and goes away after a while.  It isn't specific to Thunderbird, if I'm in the 'garbage character' mode and open a Notepad window, for example, it will also display incorrect characters.  After closing a few things and re-opening, it eventually clears up (I'm not sure about the exact sequence that corrects it).
    I've searched this forum and other places but not seen any references to a similar problem.   Any ideas would be welcome!

    This problem is still happening, occasionally and randomly.  For example, just before typing this post (which is working normally, it seems), I was using another app and had the problem.  I opened Notepad, and typed "jjjjjjjjj", repeatedly, and this is what appeared on the screen:
    qwertyuiop[]asdfghjkl;'`\zxcvbnm,./-+\1234567890-=
    and would repeat if I continued to type any letters at all (didn't matter if it was "j" or any other letter, the same sequence appeared).  Then, I switched to the Spanish keyboard, and tried the same thing and saw:
    qwertyuiop´+asdfghjklñ{|}zxcvbnm,.--+<1234567890'¿
    Again, it would repeat endlessly as long as I kept typing something.
    The shift key would produce the corresponding capital or shifted characters (i.e. "%" instead of "5").
    It clears up spontaneously, but is rather annoying when it happens.
    It is not caps-lock or num-lock related, nor apparently multiple-language-keyboard related.
    Any clues???
    Thanks!

  • Garbage Characters in XML Feed

    I have a presentation template that produces an XML RSS feed. Although I tell it to use UTF-8 like this :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    I still see garbage characters in the news feed. I've read that XML still has trouble dealing with certain characters and figure that the best solution is simply to be sure that those characters don't exist.
    Is there a way using the PCS tags to ensure that all characters end up as standard text?

    I think you better change the encoding of your XML file as the same of the encoding of Publisher output.

  • Weird characters before the xml start tag on Host

    When we load xml generated in Biztalk into an OS/400 Host environment, they always have some weird characters before the declaration (<?xml) causing the host program to fail. The characters look like gibberish from another planet (not really..look like
    some binary encoding). Can one of the experts please point me to what must be changed?

    If you look at the message using a hex editor, the UTF-8 BOM (Byte Order Mark) is EF BB BF, if you are using Unicode, the BOM is FE FF or FF FE (depending on little or big Endian encoding).
    If you "Stop" your send port and run a test, you can view the suspended message body in hex and determine if these characters are a BOM.
