Getting "GetProcessList failed: 80004005" error

Hello,
Everytime I start the Management Console on my local machine I get an error message popup. The message is:
"GetProcessList failed: 80004005
Unspecified error"
I click OK button and then MMC comes up. Everything seems to work OK after that but it worries me that I'm seeing an error message each time.
I've searched this forum for that message but haven't found anything.
Anyone have any ideas what is causing this message.

I have now installed the Internet Sales in high availability, but I'm having a problem regarding a SAP Gateway that I need to install in the Dialog instance due to the fact that TREX 6.0 (necessary for Internet Sales) will communicate with CRM backend using RFC and will be installed in that node.
The problem is that when I install the instance GWS nº 47 for Sap Gateway and I restart the server the gws instance in the console management appears with the defect icon. If I try  to see the process list I'll get the message "GetProcessFailed", never then less I can see the start profile of that instance using MMC, with no problem.
I'm using SAP Gateway from Presentation CD 640 C2.
I notice that in stand alone systems where we install Sap Gateway together with a J2ee instance the MMC acts strange.
Can any one give me some indications about this issue?
I already try to use note 142100 but with no positive result
I have an alternative, that is to install the Sap GW in a standalone server. Is there any problem with that configuration?

    If I understand correctly, at the moment your messages application seems to be unresponsive and you cannot send any messages, and this started after trying to send an image to someone else. I would start by quitting not just Messages but all the running apps on the phone:
    iOS: Force an app to close
    Double-click the Home button.
    Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
    Swipe the app up to close it.
    When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again by trying to send the image one more time:
    iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

  • Crystal 2011 getting Logon failed IM004 error when using ODBC (RDO)

    I just installed Crystal Reports 2011 on Windows 7 Ultimate SP1.  Sporadically, but way too often (I would estimate about 60% of the time), when I go to set up an ODBC (RDO) connection or refresh an existing report and enter the password, I get the following error:
    Logon failed.
    Details: IM004:[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_Handle_ENV failed
    Other times, it just works, with no changed made.  It seems to work slightly more often when using the SQL Server driver (the one for SQL 2000) as opposed to the SQL Native Client or SQL Server Native Client 10.0 drivers.  But not often enough for that to be the solution.
    I have tested this with a locally installed SQL Server (on the same machine as Crystal Reports) and remote SQL Servers, with SQL 2000, 2005 and 2008.  Same results.
    I have Crystal Reports 2008 installed on the same machine and have not once had this problem.  I have tried using the same ODBC connections I already had from Crystal 2008 with Crystal 2011 and also to create new ones, same results either way.
    Is this a known issue, or is there a switch/setting I need to change to make this work consistently?  I am especially puzzled by the fact that it seems random, I have not been able to find any pattern at all.

    MS SQL Server 2008 has a client install now, the MDAC/WDAC doesn't install it as MS used to do with all of their OS's. CR also had to update the use of SQL Server 2008 to include the SQLNCLI10 client engine.
    I suggest, if you have not already, install the Native 10 client from either the SQL Server CD or you can download the MSI from MS's site and only use the Native 10 driver.
    MS kind of dropped ODBC and moved to OLE DB. The native client actually uses the OLE DB driver so using ODBC just puts another layer on top of OLE DB anyways. It's more convenient to use ODBC for deploying applications but it can affect performance.
    Anyways, as noted, CR 2011 is still in Ramp up mode so this issue may have been tracked. If not though you can purchase a support case, if it's a bug then you'll get a refund, if it's a limitation in MS then no refund.

    I have a weird situation where I am sampling the CPU usage for small duration and taking an average of the usage using the 'Get-Counter' command. This command seems to work well when tried directly in the powershell prompt. However, when we use the same

    I cannot reproduce your issue either. It seems like that this issue a issue related with your environment.
    Based on the error message "A counter with a negative denominator value was detected", it seems like that
    $iterations sometimes is treated as a negative number. How about change
    [long] $sum=[long]
    ($sum/$iterations)
     as
    [long] $sum=[system.math]::abs([long]
    ($sum/$iterations))

  • Failed: quicktime error -50

    I tried to share sending to apple tv and also used compressor for H.264 for apple tv and i keep getting a failed: quicktime error -50 ... i also tried to use compressor and make it a fast encode dvd and im getting errors also cannot figure out what is going wrong .. this is a somewhat short video 12min i am using fcp 7.0 on MP quad 2.66ghz , 12gb ram osx 10.5.8 and i have QT 7.6.2

    This is a File System error. Check the integrity of your drives using Disk Utility > Verify Disk.
    Post any messages that Disk Utility presents to you, here. Copy the text exactly.
    Also post how much free space is available on the drives.

  • Scheduled DeskI report gets error SetPrompts failed (80004005).

    I have a DeskI report which I can refresh without any problem but when that report is scheduled I always get the error SetPrompts failed (80004005).
    The user that the report is scheduled by is the Administrator (who I can also refresh the report without problem).
    I have tried to delete the Universe and export it again as Administrator, changed the report and exported again as Administrator.
    My system is BO XI 3.1 SP 3.1 FP 3.2 Enterprise server.
    Has anyone had this problem and found some solution?

    I seen similar issue when we migrated reports and universe from 6.5 to XI R2. If it is a old report, report prompts might have got corrupted, delete the prompts in the report and save the report to corporate folder. Import the report and add the prompts what ever you needed and test it.
    If above scenario doesn't work try this work flow
    1. Delete the report from your local  folders in your system
    2. Delete the universe from your local folder in your system
    3. Import the report and delete the prompts, save the report and export to different test folder.
    4. Import the report from test folder and add what ever prompts you needed and once again export to test folder and test the schedule...if the report is working fine in test folder, delete master report from prod folder and export the modified report to PROD folders.

  • OS Deployment - Failed to get client identity 80004005

    Hello all,
    Hopefully someone will have a solution to this issue. I've only found one site with a similar problem (http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2352753&SiteID=17) and the solution was to rebuild the SCCM server, which I have done. Yet the issue persists. After working my way through countless issues with SCCM, this seems to be the only obstacle in my way. Here is the situation:
    1. I boot the bare metal client system to PXE and the boot image loads
    2. The SCCM status messages appear "Windows is starting up..." and then "Preparing Network Connections..."
    3. The client machine hangs for a minute or so, then reboots.
    I have enabled the command prompt shell in the boot image and can ping the SCCM server and name resolution work fine, so I know it isn't an issue with the network drivers. Below is the log information from the client. Just as an FYI, the Server is running in "Mixed Mode", so I'm not really understanding the why the identification is an issue. As best I can understand the client is requesting information from the server at a certain point and getting a blank reply.

    I'm at my wits end with this software, if I can't find a solution to this problem pretty soon, I will tell management here to can the whole idea and stick with the norton ghost setup.

    i had this problem today on a virtual lab ive got setup here (windows 2008 server, with sccm 2007sp1 deploying windows server..)
    i had to rewrite my task sequence as it was giving me problems - (configuring ADDS) and after going through all the steps I tried yet another pxe boot and it failed, this time with the pxe error Failed to get client identity 80004005 in the SMSTSlog
    I checked this log against a know good one from earlier on the same server and indeed the time/date are processed shortly after words, however i pxe booted again and verified time/date on the virtual pc and they were absolutely correct
    I tried this and that for 2 hours with no positive result, lastly i rebooted the server and lo and behold the pxe error was gone.
    I agree that we need a decent troubleshooting option from Microsoft about this as the documentation appears to be whatever is here or on other forums and in a lot of cases there are no solutions
    does changing a task sequence somehow reprogram the PXE setup for WDS/sccm ? I have another server (real) beside me that now wont process PXE boot requests anymore even though it was working fine !
    PXE-E51: no DHCP or proxyDHCP offeres were received....
    no switch just a crossover network cable between server and client, client was  successfully deployed hours before with windows server 2008 via sccm via pxe boot.....
    tried all the usual, not much hair left now....

    tested the client PXE boot to another server, worked fine using same network card and cable
    the DHCP server on the server reports no problems and has worked fine since I set it up some months ago, indeed if i boot the client into windows server it will get an ip no problem from the dhcp server
    so what is wrong here ? how can WDS/ SCCM pxe boot functionality turn itself on or off at will with no user intervention ???
    restarted the server 3 times, no difference, restarted WDS many times, no difference, restarted DHCP server service and now I get

    restarted the WDS service and it booted in Windows PE via pxe finally after hours of repetive tasks, only to bring me back to square one with the Windows PE rebooting itself immediatly after loading network support,

    I plug in my iPad when “cable to iTunes shows on iPad screen. It says "Your iPad can't be updated, you must restore it to factory settings." That bad enough news, but it gets worse.

    Verifying iPad restore with Apple…
    (empty bar under the Apple logo…does not show any activity)
    “The iPad “iPad” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (9).”
    Notes: I just upgraded to OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 on my iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011) in the last week. It’s the first time I’m tried to backup/update my iPad since the iMac update.
    I swapped out the USB cable to a new cable and get the same results.
    I also unplugged all other USB devices from the iMac and security on my iPad and still get the same results.
    I find it strange that it shows no Serial number for my my iPad 2 when plugged in. It shows “Serial Number: n/a on the screen when it displays: “iPad Recovery Mode To update your iPad without erasing its contents, click Update. To restore your iPad to its factory settings, click Restore iPad.
    I prefer to update my iPad, but it displays “Your iPad can’t be updated, you must restore it to factory settings. If you previously backed up the iPad, click Restore Backup after the restore process completes.”
    It’s a continuous loop. I get the display on my iPad to plug in the iPad to iTunes, plug it in which ends after going through the above procedure saying an error occurred (9).
    So now I cannot use my iPad. When I turn it on I get the display showing me to plug it into iTunes with the cable. Since this is the only option I have I plug it in and the loop begins.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can prevent your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.
    Check your security software and settings to make sure that they aren't preventing a connection to the Apple servers.

    Which version of photoshop and operating system are you using?
    The reason i ask, even though you wrote cs6, is the camera raw 6.7 update is for photoshop cs5.
    Did you try Help>Updates from within photoshop to get the most recent version of camera raw, which is 8.7 for photoshop cs6?
