is there anyway to hook up my powerbook to my imac to transfer information? if so how would i go about doing that? thanks in advance.

Simply connecting two Macs together with an Ethernet cable and running the File Sharing service will be enough to create a network between the two.
That said, FTDM is also a viable option - but it does render one Mac unusable whilst they are connected. With a network connection, the Macs can be left tethered for a long as necessary and both Macs will remain usable.
FTDM excels where one Mac is effectively being used only as a hard drive.

Launch iTunes on your Mac, connect the iPad.
Select the iPad under Devices left side of the iTunes window then select the Photos tab from the menu.
Select: Sync Photos from then select iPhoto from the pop up menu.
Select All photos etc or selected albums etc then click Apply bottom right corner of the iTunes window.

Go to the iTunes Store.
Plug your iPhone into your PC (use the USB cable provided with the phone).
Next, look for the iTunes Store bar-icon towards the top right ( where it is on my PC screen).

How do I get the new photos albums from my imac to sync to my iphone?

Last week my iMac did the software update that replaced iPhoto on my iMac with the new Photos application.
Since then, I have migrated all my iphoto library to the Photos library and have been able to further sort my photos in the albums area.
I have backed up my iPhone 6, and then completed a sync so it would be updated accordingly with the photos app as opposed to the previous iPhoto app. In iTunes everything looks fine, in Photos everything looks fine, and there was a bit of a hiccup once or twice with trying to complete the sync process (although I imagine this was simply due to the mere nature of the number of images have to sync as I do photography and I model so over 32000 photos to sync). Finally I was able to complete the sync process, and all seemed fine.
I then went in to Photos app on the iPhone 6, and all the photos are there, all the albums are there, but all the albums are empty even though the photos are on the phone in the photos sections???
I would really like to know how to get the albums to sync properly to my iPhone 6 from an iMac, does anyone know what to do?
Also, my iPhone since then has been dropping battery life significantly and getting very warm over short periods of time, but I have had no applications open, the phone has not been in use at the time and has been locked screen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Synced photos can only be deleted by syncing again with iTunes and deselecting all synced items.

Getting information about an object from JList

I have created a movie application and i have a JList displaying all registered movies, it uses a DefaultListModel to display these.
I want to be able to click on an element in the JList and then push a button called "Show movie details" to display all information about the selected movie.'.
Every new movie is added to the DefaultListModel as an object with "Titlle", "Genere" etc. If someone click on a movie, what do i do to get information about which object that was clicked. All i can see is that integers can be returned with the getSelectedIndex/Value methods. If i use one of these methods to get the object from the DefaultListModel, that would work i guess, but what when someone deletes a movie in the middle of the JList, then the indexes wouldnt match.
Can someone help me out here? :)

Accidentally opened location on holiday and now need to get back onto UK store from Egypt

On holiday in Egypt I downloaded iOS6 and allowed location service. It switched my store from UK to Egypt. Now I cannot update my apps. How do I get back onto the UK store?

It seems that in a case like this you'd need to reset the device to factory settings and then restore from iCloud backup.
Sadly the reset to factory settings could cause more trouble than its worth.
Apple's iCloud backup, could, but does not let the user restore one app or its data.
You'll also find that even though that App's data is in the cloud, you as its owner do not have access to it.

Connect and select iPad in computer iTunes, make sure your iBooks is checked in App tab, click Sync button.
Note: if you still have iBooks on iPad, delete it first by press and hold on iBooks icon till it wiggles, tap the X to delete.

How to get music onto iPhone 5s from itunes.

Got new iPhone 5s, I have iCloud and iMatch. All my pictures came back, but none of my music has synced to my new phone. It will show it syncing and then when it is complete, no music has shown up on my phone. The iTunes match has been loading for 3 hours on the "gathering information about your itunes library", but nothing has happened from there. I have updated itunes and my phone. Not sure how to get ALL my music!

My son has several hundred iTunes on our Mac G3 Biege, Version 2.2 (pre USB). I bought him an I pod and was told that I could also buy a USB 3 Port PCI Card to convert to USB but it will not fit. Is there anyway to convert this computer to get his songs onto the iPod?

I can't get all music to sync from my iMac to my iPhone 5.

My iTunes library looks normal enough. BUT, when I try to sync playlists, albums, etc to my phone, not everything syncs. When I look at the music listing on my phone (through iTunes) some of the songs show up in very light text or have a circled exclamation point next to them. I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem, but last Spring I switched to an iMac from a very old Dell. I transferred that iTunes library to my iMac by way of external hard drive. Anyway, this problem is driving me crazy. Am I going to have to start my iTunes library completely over from scratch? What happens to all of my purchased songs?
