Getting intermittent connection, anyone else experiencing same issue?

I am getting intermittent connection with my 3gs where i can get speed of up to 800 kps then nothing. I have soft reset the phone already, put a new sim card.
I never had that problem with my previous 3g iphone.
I am around philadelphia area.

I would ring ATT and check for network problems. Sounds like it's a network problem. Not phone or sim. > paulkhon wrote:

After installing IOS 5.1, I am unable to double click the home button and access the camera. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Does a fix or work aroud exist?

I just updated--my Camera is a disaster.  Yes, I know how to turn (and position) the Camera now. However, every photo I take is UPSIDE DOWN in the Camera Roll OR Photo Stream.  Even worse, a number of my Apps (Weather Underground, for example) are ALSO now upside down.  Has anyone here experienced these serious orientation problems after this update?  I've read the 'Manual' and its as if it doesn't exist.  However, if I leave the Apple site, customer complaints about orientation abound...
This is my first time posting here about an issue (well, the same issue - I posted last week about the Camera, and no one responded).  Any advice at all about how to get this corrected is much appreciated!
    Thank you!

Then the next step would be a restore as new to rule out corruption in the backup.

Is anyone else experiencing password issues?  Every few weeks I have to reset mine and I'm writing them down!

If you are receiving repeated password reset e-mails, there are two possibilities.
One is that they are simply phishing e-mails. Do not click on any links in those e-mails, and do not respond to them in any way.
The other is that someone is trying to hack your Apple ID. You can prevent that by enabling two-factor authentication:
    Apple introduces two-factor authentication
This will prevent anyone from even attempting a password reset without entering a special code that only you will have, and should keep in a very safe place.

  • "Unknown Error" when attempting to move/drag a folder in the Folders Panel in Library Module. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Thank you.

    Hello fellow LR users,
Last night, I attempted to drag one sub-folder into a different Parent folder but then I received the "unable to move & unknown error" notification. After a few more attempts I received the same notification. My solution was moving the folder into the different Parent folder outside of Lightroom. I moved the folder in my PCs Operating System.
Has anyone else encountered this issues? Any solutions?
    Thank you,
    Daniel

Your method of using the OS is considered best. If you copy (drag) a folder to a new place you simply right-click on the folder name in the LR Library and choose update folder location. Then navigate to the new location.
LR automatically updates the catalog database. You can then delete the original folder.

  • Has anyone else experienced WiFi issues after installing Mavericks?

I recently installed Mavericks on my 2009 iMac. After the initial install, everything worked beautifully. After my first reboot, however, the network is having trouble staying connected to the wireless network. I verified the modem/roouter were working by testing on my other wifi enable devices (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, etc).
My question really, if whether or not anyone else has experienced this after installing Mavericks official release and is this a known issue that I cannot seem to locate information on.
It should be noted that I often use a VPN service called Private Internet Access. And thought I havent had issues with this before any reboot, I thought it would be worth mentioning.
Thank to anyone's help in advance.

I've also been having a lot of issues with my wireless after I updated to Mavericks.  For me, the problem is manifest whenever I'm using my system in a conference room with a lot of other folks who are also using wireless.  The connection is up and down constantly, to the point where it's really not usable.  Other folks in the room (who are using Windows systems) don't have the same issues.  It's gotten to the point where _they_ are making fun of my me and my Mac (the tables have turned!).
I never had these issues when I was using Mountain Lion.  Since it's the same environment and the same hardware (MacBook Pro, 15", Retina), I've started to suspect that Mavericks is the culprit.

  • TS1702 Supercam Pro update.Just downloaded update 24-05-2013 and now cannot connect to DVR.Entered correct http address but not connecting, anyone else having same problem?

Supercam Pro,latest update yesterday 25-05-2013.Now cannot connect to my DVR.Anyone else having problem with this update, worked perfectly before???

The OP is correct, I have done many tests.  With IOS6 there appears to be a dns issue in some cases with IOS for both ipad(2) at lease (my wife won't let me upgrade here v1) and the iPhone4s in my case.  Pretty easy to diagonse, I wish Apple would fix it.
1.) I use a Juniper 5GT wireless firewall and all of my other devices (many apple, ipad, MBP, iMAC,3 ipods etc) are fine: Not ipad2 or iphone4s running IOS6
2.) after upgrade nothing worked.  narrowed it down by messing with dns (I have my own dns server)
3.) Strange thing; dns works over MiFI (Verizon) and Carrier
4.) confirmed that it is a dns and not network issue.
-down load free tool called ping-scope-lite.   (obviously you need to turn off wifi to do this)
      http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ping-scope-lite/id431500107?mt=8
    turn on wifi
    - ping Level3 dns server 4.2.2.2 or Googlesdns servers 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 these worked.
-now ping by name google.com or ipchicken.com
       - try others; same result.
Apple did say that they would give me another iphone 4s: I just wasn't sure that would fix my issue.  I tried downgrading to 5.1.1 but I got an error saying my device wasn't able to do so (tried even blocking itunes from contacting Apple)  I whis this could be fixed.  I did even have it working using my own dns server but now I can see that my phone over wifi isn't even trying to make a dns request now.
    Stuck

  • Macbook pro mid2012 turns on when magsafe get unplugged. anyone else with same issue?

as stated above, when I unplug the magsafe, macbook wakes up from sleep. Anyone having that issue as well?

I have confirmed that this is definitely related to the Firmware Update 2.0.
I performed an erase and install of Mountain Lion 10.8.2 then applied all updates EXCEPT the firmware update 2.0.
I then restored all of my content and tested.
My MBP no longer wakes from sleep when the AC adaptor is disconnected or connected. I'll be logging it with Apple support shortly.

  • After my Firefox updated to version 8.0, my mouse started acting up. It is difficult to click on links, sometimes it takes a few tries. Same goes for selecting text, which has become an ordeal. Is anyone else experiencing mouse issues after updating?

Clicking, right-clicking, and selecting is very awkward after the latest update, and many times requires more than one try. At first I thought it was just my mouse that was having issues, but then I realized it only happens in Firefox.

It may be that your hard drive is either failing again or that the hard drive bay SATA cable may need replacing. And if you're getting a "Service Battery" anyway it's probably best to take the machine into your local Apple Store or an AASP and get a free diagnosis and estimate for repair. I would specifically ask that the SATA cable be tested so that you can tick that off the list of culprits.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • Anyone else experiencing disconnection issues with IOS 6.2.1 on the iPad 2

Since the latest update my iPad radomly disconnects from the any wireless connection.  It worked perfectly before this update.  What gives?????  You fix one thing only to break something else.  Is there no one testing these updates before hand?  I'm just saying. Please get this fixed.  It's annoying have to reconnect when I'm in the middle of something......New update...>EPIC FAIL!!!!

    Try #5.
    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • Anyone Else Experiencing PUSH issues since R2.1?

Ok; it may be me, but I could have sworn that since I've owned my 3G iPhone (July 25), and over the course of the past two Releases prior to R2.1, that when I had activated PUSH on my iPhone to have each and every email sent to me shortly after created, that it WAS delivering my emails within 1 -2 minutes?? I say this because I would send myself a test email from my business WIN laptop... have both my MacBook Pro and iPhone on and the email from my business laptop would be received within a minute on my iPhone. Based on the below, that doesn't seem to be the case any longer... therefore, was it my imagination that PUSH delivered all my emails when they hit my ISP's email server, or have there ALWAYS been DELAY'S???
I received a call from a colleague today wanting to know why I hadn't responded to an email request sent to me 45-minutes prior? I checked my iPhone and it was set to PUSH... I went to my Mail icon on the iPhone... it did a search and the email was delivered as requested. I then turned on my MBPro, opened up email and it showed my colleagues email having been received a minute after it was sent to me. Therefore, I would have to assume my ISP email server and my MBPro was working as it should... but my iPhone's PUSH was NOT.
With my MBPro email on... and my iPhone in PUSH mode (as it was all morning), I sent myself another email from my WIN business laptop (different ISP and email address)... the email was received on my MBPro INBOX within 30-sec and nothing received on my iPhone after several minutes elapsed... until I finally hit my email icon on the iPhone and it did it's search and voila, there was the test email I had sent. PUSH, obviously does not work the way I "thought" it was to work and contrary to what I had seen before with testing PUSH when I first bought the iPhone.
The only thing that I have noticed since July, regardless of the various release updates, was that even when switching from FETCH to PUSH mode, that the previous FETCH duration (ie. every 15 min) still had a "check mark" by its duration... now leading me to believe that despite my selecting PUSH mode, that my emails may only be "now" PUSHED to me at whatever duration is checked in previous FETCH mode (ie. 15 min, 30 min, Hourly or Manual)
Any thoughts out there? or is this a R2.1 glitch?
    Thanks

    Hey Frank & Others,
Okay here we go. I will outline it in steps. Remember this is very time consuming! I have my fingers crossed that this works for you!!!!! This is not easy to type up. I may have to edit a few times after I post.
    1. Delete all your email accounts on your iPhone. Just make sure you know how to set them back up, passwords, etc.
Tap on Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > "select an account" > Delete Account
    2. Do this for each email account
    3. Tap on Settings > Fetch New Data > Push > "set to off"
    4. Tap on Settings > Fetch > scroll down to advanced > Advanced "make sure all email accounts are gone"
    5. Tap on Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account "select mobileme"
Enter Name, Address, Password & Description.
    6. Once confirmed (that your account is set up correctly) Tap on Settings > Fetch New Data "select Manually" Push is still OFF.
    7. Now from your phone send yourself a message
    8. Tap on Mail > "tap on the circle with the arrow thing"
    9. Did you receive your test email?
    10. If yes, then login to MobileMe. If no... you need to fix the email account you set up. Probably a wrong password?
    11. Once logged into MobileMe did the test email appear in your mail here?
    12. If yes awesome. If no... then MobileMe is not getting your email?? Another discussion.
    13. Now back to the iPhone
    14. Tap Settings > Fetch New Data > "select Every 15 Minutes"
    15. From your iPhone Send another test email to yourself. Email Test#2 and Exit out of mail on your phone. Don't manually try to get your mail.
    16. Wait the 20 minutes.
    17. Log back into MobileMe. Do you have your Test#2 email in your mail box?
    18. If yes, Back to your iPhone. Tap on Mail is the email in your in box? Remember to use MobileMe as the "check" to make sure the emails are getting to MobileMe. If not on MobileMe then nothing will be Pushed to your phone. Once MobileMe gets them its easier to fix the MobileMe to iPhone issue. Phew... is everyone still with me?
    19. If yes, Tap on Settings, Fetch New Data > Push "on" and Fetch to Manually. Then tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Select the account. Then turn on what you want pushed. Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks.
    20. Tap on Settings > Fetch New Data > "scroll down to Advanced" Advanced > "check the email account, and what you have chosen should be listed" On mine Ihave the same account listed twice one for push mail and the same account with contacts and calendars. Select Push. You should be able to select Push, Fetch or Manual.
    21. Now send another test email. Email#3. Again, check MobileMe first, then your phone.
    22. If this does not work. Follow all the steps again. And this time delete the email accounts on your Mac as well.
Man I hope this works for you guys. It worked for me. Again, it took a lot of trail and error. I did this more than once! If this does not work... please dont "hate" me
    Thanks,
    Doug
