Getting Keynote's "Defining Default Attributes of Text Boxes" to work

The following is from the iWorks09 Keynote "Help" for the topic "Defining Default Attributes of Text Boxes and Shapes":
4. Do one of the following:
To make the text box the default for only the current master slide, choose Format > Advanced > “Define Text for Current Master.”
To make the text box the default for all master slides in the current theme, choose Format > Advanced > “Define Text for All Masters.”
I tried doing everything up to this point, but when I select "Format > Advanced" there is NO OPTION (not even unselectable "faded") for > “Define Text for All Masters.” There is only a an option for "Charts" & it is unselectable (there should be options for text, shapes, charts, etc.)
Can anyone help me?
If not, this is definitely a *+_major bug_+* that needs to be fixed!!

What do you mean when you say that the Lock commands don't work? Are they grayed-out, or is that once you use them you don't like the result? If the option is grayed-out, you either don't have an object selected, or the selected object is formatted as Inline. Changing the format to Floating will bring back the Lock option.

Even simpler than that.
Clicking once in a text box selects it.
Clicking once in a selected text box places the insertion point in the box.
The clicks do not need to be close enough in time to be read as a double click.
The same behaviour applies to table cells in Pages and in Numbers.

Timing of text box will not appear. My text boxes stop working on slide 5 and they will not work for the remainder of the slide show.

Timing of text box not working. I get the first few slides to work and then on slide 5 my text boxes will not appear. And they do not appear for the rest of the slide show. Help anyone.

Text caption is timed to appear at 2 seconds, but you have a click box at 0sec. Its duration is very short, which means that I cannot see if there is a pause. I suspect this click box is pausing at the end of its timeline, which is at 0.3secs and the Text caption at 2 seconds will not appear before the user has clicked on that click box. The timeline is the core of Captivate, learn at least how to read it.

If you want the green text caption 'Click on...' to appear right at the beginning of the slide, you have to check its Timing accordion: set it to start at 0 secs instead of 2 secs and extend its duration to the 'rest of the slide'.
I don't know what is in the Group. That group and the HIghlight box will disappear at 3 seconds. Or maybe the action that is triggered by the Clickbox is different from 'Continue'?

Set default width for text box in Adobe Acrobat X

Hello!
I am using the textbox tool to add comments to a document. (not the Typewriter, but the Textbox, since that has more flexibility for formatting the text).
I know how to set the default proprties for text size, color, background color, etc.
Cannot figure out however to to set the default width. Every time I try to add a new textbox, it defaults to about 1 or 2 inches wide, so the text wraps around and around, and then I have to resize the box when I am done.
Is there a way to change the default width?

I drew a box I like, and select, and then, Ctrl+C, and then Ctrl+V.
And move the pasted box where to need, and resize the length. At least I get same width boxes.
I don't know how to default it.

You need not change the controller, you can extend the controller!Although Oracle discourages extension of controller, but as of now there is no other alternative! No, standard UIXML should not be changed. But y would u need that, you cando the Ui changes with personlization and if needed programitically in process request method of controller, by takeing control on that particular bean!

Default attribute in XSD is not working..???

i have created one BPEL process which will read xml file for which i have created
xsd file. In this xsd i have specified some elements Which are the parts of ComplexType with default attribute. But when i pass empty data for thos elements
then it is not taking their Default values whic i have specified in xsd.
Can anyone plz help me out..??

IMovie is not letting me drag and drop transitions, music, text boxes. Worked fine all along and now nothing. What happened?

iMovie has always let me "drag and drop" transitions, music, text boxes etc into my Project. This morning it is not allowing me to "drag and drop" anything. This is for a client and I am so frustrated. What happened to make it stop letting me "drag and drop"?

I have only dragged Titles to the project. When I did, it worked best not to drag and release onto the video strip (like with the old version) but just above the strip. When you drag and hover above the strip you get a little pointer to the starting point on the strip. Hope this helps.

Text box in work item

Hi,
I need to add a text box in a work-item (decision step) where the user could enter any text he wants, then click on a button, let's say OK, and that text will appear in the next work item sent to another user.
I need this text box only for the first user who receives the work-item, so the second work-items will be a different one, but will include the text eneterd by the first user.

Are you using secondary methods?
Here in your scenario, using secondary methods would not be appropriate as it becomes difficult to send data back to workflow container from secondary methods, as in your case you have to write text and then use it in next step
So you can do it in this way:
1. Create a decision step , lets sat with option 'Approve' and 'reject' with option Advance with dialogue checked.
2. In the outcome of 'Reject' button, create an activity step that calls your method of the class that has FM.
Make task as general and keep the expression blank.
Test your workflow, it should work.

JFileChooser : Settig default name in text box

I am writing an FTP program that allows users to send files across different computers. On recieving a file I want the application provide the user with the option of saving the file where the user wants. I have used a JFileChooser's saveDialogBox for that. I want to set the default text in the saveDialogBox TextField with the file name that the application has recieved. How can this be done. Please help. Any help is welcome.

Besides, it took me a try in <favorite IDE> to check, it was not obvious to me that it would work in the "save" dialog type, especially when the physical does not exist yet (once again baffled by the fact that java.io.File does not denote a genuine file but merely a virtual file path).

How do I get rid of the white background in text boxes in Dreamweaver?

I use a lot of reversed text on my site, and not being able to see the text in the split view means I have to edit in the code view slows me down no end… I've tried changing the obvious view options, but can never seem to find the one that makes the boxes transparent. Is there an easy fix to this???anx if you can help

Here's a screengrab of the problem.
This page uses no text nav; instead uses z-index' similar to layers in photoshop, where image maps on overhangs from the pictures/pages underneath, to navigate to other pages.
But when working on it in Dreamweaver, it's a nightmare, because of the white boxes, which often almost completely obscure the layered divs underneath.
Is there no easy way 4 DW to just make these boxes transparent in the View. Switching off Style Rendering doesn't really help.

How do I save a font and it's size and color in a text box as a default

I am using Adobe Acrobat XI for Mac and can't figure out how to set a default font for text boxes. I don't seem to be able to access the properties to set the default by highlighting a properly formatted text box and pressing ctrl-e. Is there another key combination for Mac? Or another method for setting defaults? I'm finding I have to set the font, size and color every time I open a new Acrobat doc and want to add a text box. Also, the choices are not even saving with the document. The fonts already typed save correctly, but on reopening, I have to reset if I want to add more text.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've got a Logitech G700S Mouse with a right click button, so right-clicking isn't an issue. Unfortunately, the I can't seem to find the menu to "Use Current Properties as New Defaults." I may not have described the problem correctly.
I am adding text to a pre-existing pdf document, not creating a form. I would like to be able to set a default font, size and color for text, so that when I enter text in a text box onto the pdf document, it has those properties. If I select the text box that is properly formatted (not the text, but the box) and right click, the only choices I get are:
Cut
Copy
Delete
Select All
Deselect All
Arrange>
Edit Using>
So I gues my question is if one can even format a text box as a default or a "style" or the like. I tried setting a default font, size and color for "comments" also in the Acrobat preferences, but even that didn't seem to stick when I opened a new doc. This all may just be a Mac / Mavericks interaction flaw. Anybody have any other ideas?

You can set the default value of the text box to:

Or change XPath (advanced) to
xdMath:Eval(xdMath:Eval(../my:group/pc:Person, 'concat(pc:DisplayName, "; ")'), "..")

You can't running a SWF on a webpage. Can you imagine if a SWF had access to that OS-level information? It breaches everything Flash, browsers and the web stands for, which is "not being an application", therefore it has absolutely no access to your computer. Especially information like your username.
If you're running a flash projector, that's different. Not that a projector can do that either, but projectors are applications and can be extended by things like MDM Zinc and ScreenTime mProjector. Going that route opens up the constraints on Flash Projectors and lets you tap into things like .dlls. Only via that route are you going to be able to get at such a low level item like the current logged on user.
