Getting listed on iTunes Store

My university has been on iTunes U for about a year and we would like to get our site listed in the iTunes store. I understand that this takes a quantum leap in terms of number of programs and quality of content offered, but I would like to know where we can find a more definite list of criteria for being listed in the iTunes store. My goal for the coming year is market the "public" side of our iTunes U site and eventually be listed in the iTunes store.
Any comments, information and suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

We have requested to be added, and according to our page, I will be contacted in 2-4 weeks, but have received no contact at all. I submitted originally last fall, then pulled my request. I then submitted again in the spring.
This has been the longest 2-4 weeks in history. :-D

@caragam, if the songs are no longer in your purchase history it means either they have been hidden or the original items are no longer available for sale on the iTunes Store or you are logged into the store with a different Apple ID.
To see if they have been hidden in iTunes pull down Store > View my AppleID. Enter your password when prompted. In the middle of the screen, click "view hidden purchases." See if the purchased items are here. If they are unhide them and go back to your purchase history and re-download them.
If the purchases are not hidden and you do not have a backup then the songs are gone and there is no way to recover them. This is why we keep backups.
If you used a different Apple ID to purchase the song, log out of the store and log in with the appropriate Apple ID and download the song. Be aware this could trigger a 90 day lock out of the other store account so make sure you really, really want that song.

I can not get into the iTunes store for the past two days. I can do a search on the music in upper right corner. However, the screen is white with "iTunes" in the middle when I do. Any suggestions? Thank you.

If your computer has one of the LSPs listed you may have to reset winsock.

TS3297 I can't get into my iTunes store. It goes so far then a message "itunes has stopped working" comes up. Just started last week.

All the music from iTunes Store aren't protected. You can search the web for a site that sells protected music.

You should see an app called app store on your iPhone, or you can connect via your computer using iTunes.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I am in my iTunes application and when I press the link to connect to the iTunes Store, it starts churning, and churning, but never connects. It has churned for hours and when I finally click the "X" to close it, I get error code 11222.
