  • Problem in getting long text in Cash receipt.

    Hi all,
I want long text in my form print but as a programming i am not getting long text in description Field I am getting short text.  So can you please kindly tell me when we entered long text in transaction FBCJ this long text save in which table. And how can i fetch this data in my smartforms.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Keyur,
when you see the detail text in the transaction, use menu goto -> header. Here you see the details to use for an include staement in sapscript. Note that the text name may be a concateneation of client and document number. Prepare the details in print program, fill in variables to be used in sapscript.
    Hope these details are enough.

  • How to get Long text in report from FBL3N

    Hi,
I need to get Long Text from FBL3N (G/L Account Line Item Display) in my report. Can anyone tell me in which table it is stored?

    Hi
These long texts are not stored completely in any tables
where as the parameters of these texts like OBJECT,OBJECTNAME and ID, LANGUAGE are stored in STXH table
You have to pass these 4 parameters to the fun module READ_TEXT and to fetch the text.
Double click on the long text will goes to text editor
from menu GOTO-> HEADER  you will see the above 4 paramters
see the doc of READ_TEXT fun module
    READ_TEXT
READ_TEXT provides a text for the application program in the specified work areas.
The function module reads the desired text from the text file, the text memory, or the archive. You must fully specify the text using OBJECT, NAME, ID, and LANGUAGE. An internal work area can hold only one text; therefore, generic specifications are not allowed with these options.
After successful reading, the system places header information and text lines into the work areas specified with HEADER and LINES.
If a reference text is used, SAPscript automatically processes the reference chain and provides the text lines found in the text at the end of the chain. If an error occurs, the system leaves the function module and triggers the exception REFERENCE_CHECK.

  • Use SQL to get long text

    Hi,
Is it possible to retrieve the long text in STXH and STXL by SQL instead of READ_TEXT FM??  How can i covert the HEX text back to normal text??
    Regards,
    Kit

    Hi,
    1. Only the way to Read long text is use the function module ‘READ_TEXT’ for which u need to pass TEXTOBJECT, TEXTID, TEXTLANGUAGE AND ONEMORE(I FORGET).
Because the STXL and STXH these tables are cluster tables in which data stored in ‘LRAW’ field which is in RAW format which u can not understand and our normal SQL can also.
    2. so u can read most of cluster tables by Function modules only.
    3. u can modify or saved by ‘save_text’

  • How to get longer text boxes into iMovie

I'm hoping to input longer quotes and text into iMovie HD 6. I thought I got around this problem by creating a ppt with the appropriate text, saving the slides as jpgs, moving them to iPhoto, and then importing them into my movie (long process!). Unfortunately, the text comes out blurry.
How can I simply write the text into iMovie when it's longer than a sentence? Or else how can I create some image with the text that I can import and it will show up clearly?

I have the same problem - I want to have a ticker-style text scrolling at the bottom, but for texts longer than 200 words the font becomes blurrier and harder to read, and by the time the text reaches 500 words it's completely illegible. This does not seem to be affected by how long the ticker-box lasts (same problem for when it's 7 minutes as 2 minutes), though splitting a 4 minute, 400 word string into two 2 min, 200 word strings helps if you put them into two seperate "ticker" instances. But then you have an unwanted gap in the middle between when one ticker ends and the other starts.
So, why is the text quality so ******?

You call read/write this field with FM REAd_TEXT of WRITE_TEXT, check this example:ù

  • What is Field Label ? and  where do we use it .

What is Field Label ? and  where do we use it .

    Hi,
You can assign text information to a data element with the field labels.
The field labels are used to display a screen field. You can copy structure components and table fields from the ABAP Dictionary to the input template when you define a screen in the Screen Painter (Get from Dict. function). You can also assign a field a field label that is derived from the data element of the field.
The text of the field label can be translated centrally with the translation tools. The text is then displayed in the input template in the user’s logon language.
Short, Medium and Long Field Labels
Keywords of different lengths for identifying screen fields. Since the space available for such texts depends on the input template, you can define the text information in three different lengths.
A maximum length must be assigned for each field label. It is the upper limit for the lengths of all translations of the given text. The maximum length of the field label therefore should be somewhat longer than the given text in the original language.
    Headers
This text is used as a column header when you output the contents of fields as a list in the Data Browser. It can also be assigned to a field in the Screen Painter.
A maximum length must also be assigned for the header. It is the upper limit for the lengths of all translations of the header. Choose the maximum length of the header to be somewhat longer than the given text in the original language. Also note that the header is often displayed above the corresponding column when preparing list output. The length of the header therefore should not exceed the length of the data element.
    Short Field Label
    Definition
    One of the following:
    - Short field label
    - Medium field label
    - Long field label
Can be assigned as prefixed text to a screen field referring to the ABAP Dictonary. The text is displayed on the screen in the logon language of the user (if the text was translated into this language).
A heading can be defined to output the field values in lists. This heading is automatically included in the list header row, in the logon language.
