Getting more "run arounds" between Verizon and Apple! Neither company will accept responsibility!

I spent 2 hours at an apple genius bar, again, just for them to completely wipe out my ipad2 and reset it.  And, again, I have no option to activate a cellular data plan!  And, again, they sent me back to verizon to have you (verizon) do something about re "deactivating" the account which you (verizon) deactivated over a YEAR AGO.
I spent an extra 230.00 to specifically be able to use the iPad outside of any wifi network, and all I got was an ipad2 with only wifi capabilities!
I will summarize what my problem has been since after my first month of activating a M2M prepaid plan on my device the  day I bought the device from BestBuy. 
I paid by credit card for 2gb data for one month. My receipt reflects this fact. However, Verizon's "contract"  turned into an automatic monthly plan with all sorts of fees and charges for data usage, unbeknown to me! 
After the month was up, I noticed I was still getting 3G service.  Oh Cool, I thought.  Until I got a mysterious bill from Verizon informing me I owe them 170.00 for data charges for this Ipad. 
After the usual go around, showing them my receipt from BestBuy who activated the M2M via my credit card of the prepaid 30.00 plan., and asking them to reverse these charges because I only bought a one month prepaid plan, I was told to basically "pound sand",   "You used the data regardless of any plan you thought you had so you need to pay up." 
They told me that I should not have used any 3g data if I didn't have a plan for it.  Well, Ok..?????
And, if I want to "ever" use the 3G option I better clean up and pay off the bill so they could deactivate the account.
So you got me by the short hairs again and I forked over the money to closeout the account.
Verizon "deactivated" the account and I was told that now I will be able to activate a M2M at any future time.
WRONG!   A few months later I needed to access the web and tried to buy a prepaid month of data.
Heck no,  I got the message.. one of two,  depending on hapenstance that, I either had an account  which can't be activated on the device or that the account is already activated, which it is not, or "Data plan activation failure, etc., etc.
Another call to Verizon, another  representative told me it is "Apples" fault and that they were recalling the white ipad2 from BestBuy for some issues related to chips or MEID or something, that can't be associated with ANY data account after it was initially associated with one.
Hmmm.  Okay.
I go back to Apple and they check some list of serial numbers and of course my Ipad2 is not listed.   So therefore, not their problem and again I am sent back to Verizon to have you "fix it". 
More hours on the phone with Verizon to no avail.  I won't bore you with the futility of the calls.
I hope it doesn't take months to hear a response again.

Thats why I am trying this venue of contact now.
Just maybe Verizon or "anybody out there" can give me a suggestion and/or make verizon or apple fess up to this issue and take responsibility for a defect that is clearly NOT my fault.
I purchased the device AND plan in good faith and got screwed on both.  Thank you, IF you ever respond.
p.s.  I have already tried:reprovisioning, complete reset, etc 

I had the same problem when I bought my iPhone 5 at Verizon.  Back and forth between apple and verizon about 2x week each time spending hours (and LOTS of tears) as the phone would not text, send text, get messages, etc.  and everything was so sporatic that no one could answer anything.  They even told me I had to BRING the person that was not getting my text (from many states away????).  FINALLY....my son took all the numbers out deleted everything and put everything in one by one.  Phone finally works but have to say I still have not forgotten the headaches and cost and it was not worth it!!

    THE ANSWER TO MY PROBLEM
    OK I am a newbie to all this tech stuff But I solved my ' incorrect password and imap error messages'
    On PC I went to gmail effected
    Enter tools (gear on upper right)
    Settings
    Accounts and Import
    Change Account Settings
    Other Google Account Settings
    Security
    Authorizing Applications ans Site
    Then had to Verify - Re-sign in
    Step 1 of 2
    Generate password
    Step 2 got password
    IMPORTANT
    COPY AND PASTE - THEY SHOW YOU 16 DIGIT CODE ONCE!
    Then re- install account into iPads (my case) When they ask for password do not use regular password use this 16 digit code!
    Worked instantly for me! Both my pads back on line! Best of luck, so hope this helps!

    Ugh. The 'no password, no work' thing is a recent Apple development. I ran into it on my system and ended up having to do a clean install on a partition I fully erased.
    I suppose, if you have the ability to, go online and look up how to burn a bootable DVD image. Download the 10.8.4 image then use the Disk Utility to make a boot image of it. You'll need a dual-layer DVD or a USB drive (or memory stick at least 8GB) If you've got an optical drive, burn the disk, if you've a USB device, use that.
    Then get a pocket drive and copy your important files off the system or let Time Machine do a full backup.
    When the backup is done, insert the disk and hold down the C key until the machine boots off of the DVD. At the point you get to the start window, go to the menu and choose the Disk Utility.
    In the Disk Utility, reformat the drive. You go to the actual DRIVE (not the Macintosh HD, but the root above it that is the actual hard drive device)
    I always do this and *partition* it into several volumes, the benefit being, you can store all of your music, documents and importans stuff on that secondary storage volume you make - it will have it's own index and then the first volume is where you put the OS and it will have it's own index as well. That way, if the OS throws a wobbler and you need to reinstall, you don't lose your data.
    Depending on the size of your hard drive, it is good to give your OS partition at least 60GB and optimally 100GB, and the rest for storage.
    Name your volumes, use the little box sliders to manually size them or put that number in the size window, select for the format, Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and hit Apply and then the Disk Utility will quickly create your new partitions.
    Once finished, quit the Utility and it will return you to the OS installer. Select the volume you want to install to and it should start up and install.
    Once the installation is done, you'll get the new machine startup then you MUST put in a password for the computer. Once you're in, and to the desktop, don't bother with any Mountain Lion updates, go right to the App Store and get the Mavericks update and let it install the app to your Applicaitons folder, then do that install.
    On a side note, there MAY be a way to make a disk image from the Mavericks application and avoid the entire Mountain Lion step.. I honestly do not know, but a bit of hitting the search engines may find out if there is. I think that if you looked for "make Mavericks boot disk or boot image' you may find something.

We spend all this money for the latest ipad and all we get is these $5 video and music apps from apple. Why create the iOS platform and only offer so so apps like IMovie and GarageBand ? While other developers are offering much better apps like pinnacle studio for video, Cubasis and Auria for music production, apple has not showed much growth in terms of innovation. While there's nothing wrong with making an app like GarageBand where "anyone " can make a song, how about something for real musicians or an app not so basic as it get for video editing? After spending 0ver $700 on an ipad I'd be willing to spend more than $5 for a better video or audio app.

    First, try a system reset although I can't give you any confidence.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
    Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
    If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
    At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
    If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

    I don't know how large the SSD (solid state hard drive) is, or how big your iPhone 5 is, but with some iPhones having 64GB and some Airs having as little as 64GB and some having as much as 512GB it's not hard to see how storing the contents of your iPhone 5 on your Macbook Air could run you out of space.
    Go to the Macbook Air and bring up a finder window and pull the Go menu down and go to the Computer. Right click on the Macintosh HD and select get info. See if there is any available space on the MacBook Air. If not you are out of SSD space (you're storing more on your Macbook Air than it has storage for). I'm not sure if iTunes can store its library on an external hard drive or quite how you would make that happen. But even if you managed that, when the hard drive was disconnected, you would lose access to your library. Using a smart media card might be possible (I don't know) but it would probably be irritatingly slow. If you have a small Air and a big iPhone you might just have to find a different computer to sync to. Just remember a 64GB iPhone is a big chunk of SSD for a Macbook Air. I did it with my previous and my current Air but even my previous one had 256GB and I really just fit.

    "Other" includes data such as contact information and photos assigned to contacts, calendar events, Safari bookmarks/cookies/history, notes created with the Notes application, SMS messages, email stored locally or cached, and 3rd party application data created and stored by the application.
    If "other" is more than say .75GB at the most, you had a corrupt sync. Try syncing again and if the problem persists, the recognized fix for this is to restore your iPad.

    For Mac OS X, you don't have to edit the port addresses, but make sure the firewall in Apple () menu > System Preferences > Security > Firewall are not set to:
    Block all incoming connections
    Allow only essential services
    If you use another security/firewall software on your computer or router, follow this article or contact the manufacturer or check the documentation on how to open TCP ports 123 and 3689 as well as UDP ports 123 and 5353.
    It made sense to me, but its still puzzling me after restarting a router would (in my first attempt) resolve the issue for a day.  This this time I applied the port forwarding TCP and UDP ports and saved the settings in the DLink DIR-655 and both my iPad2 and iPhone 3GS were now again finding the share. My ATV2 is also now accepting the Share.
    Tommorrow will be the true test.

    That is correct, I spoke with apple and they told me it's one or the other depending on which one you are actively using at the time. I think it would be very useful to have your phone still vibrate along with your watch, as I've noticed I don't feel the watch most times, even with the prominent touch selection on (i.e. when i'm driving) Then you'd be able to know you got a message or notification from your phone vibrating and then could check the watch, although there would be a second or two delay like when you receive a phone call.

    Hi DK,
    You need to put the "metric #" command in your redistribute bgp configuration under the vrf SAFI in the RIP config on the PE router. This is done to prevent BGP MED (metric) from being used as the RIP metric, which as you would know, has a hop limit of 16.

    Try that and you should then see your VPN routes showing on the CE when the RIP process refreshes.

    I have now recently downloaded 10.0.2 which is confusing in itself, as, as far as I can ascertain that is actually version 11, but I'm not even sure about that.
    Version 10.0.2 is the newest version and the successor to GarageBand '11 (version 6.0.5).
    The '11 is referring to the iLife '11 suit of multimedia application - the older GarageBand was a part of this bundle.

        and it gives you a step by step on adding your account. However don't use the server port number they give you because it does not work. I followed the  same steps without changing the number and it worked.
    The problem I have is that I can not see the folders I created on my Verizon email account, when I open it on my iPad. I have called Verizon & gone to the Apple store and neither had an answer except to say it was the other's problem.
    Can any one help?

    Your battery is running quickly because your cellular data connection is weak.
    Is your phone carrier a supported carrier:   Wireless carrier support and features for iPhone in the United States and Canada - Apple Support
    For your no service issues:  If you see No Service in the status bar of your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
