Getting Music from Another Country

Im a big fan of japanese rock and other music but it wont let me purchase music under the japanese music store. Can anyone tell me how to do this or if it is possible.

Expanding a bit, in order to buy from another country's iTunes Music Store, you must have either:
a) a credit card with a billing address in that country, or
b) a mailing address in that country and a gift certificate or a prepaid card that was bought in that country.
If you cannot fulfill one of these two sets of conditions, you will not be able to purchase from any given country's iTMS.
This, BTW, is due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies and other rights holders (who are often completely different from country to country and so all require their own individual negotiations and contracts), not by Apple's choice.
Forum Tip: Since you're new here, you've probably not discovered the Search feature available on every Discussions page, but next time, it might save you time (and everyone else from having to answer the same question multiple times) if you search a couple of ways for a topic before you post a question.

How do I purchase music from another country (Ireland) It wouldn't take my login. If I got into it would it allow me to purchase music and will it play in the US.

Just go to the store's website and buy tracks the normal way. Almost all online music download stores will sell you music no matter where you live. The only exceptions are the stores that sell major label music, e.g. the iTunes Store and Amazon, which restrict by country of residence.

Make sure the music you are buying is in MP3 format. MP3 is a universal format and plays the same anywhere.

Purchasing Music from another Country Store

Hi,
I dislike the fact that I can't get music from other store than the one from my country. As an example, on the USA store, there is much more albums from internationnal artists than on the Canadian store. That's a bit annoying. Some older albums that I can preview, but I can't buy.

Copyright holders for content vary from country to country, so until the Canadian copyright holders for any content you might be interested in, allow Apple to distribute, there is nothing Apple can do.

Getting music from another account created on my computer

I used to have an account with AOL. I purchased about $200 worth of music on this account. I have since deactivated my AOL account. How do I get the music that I bought under this account. AOL will not give me a person to talk to, and I can't figure out how to get my music by going through the help systems on Itunes or AOL. Does anybody know how I can access these songs? Thanks!

If you lost it, you don't have it, so it is impossible to transfer.
However, you would have synced it with itunes (where you saved the music originally on your computer), just sync the new iPod with itunes and you'll be able to get all your music from there.

Getting music from another computer

I am trying to download music from a different computer onto my iPod but I don't seem to be able to override the "auto-sync" function. I don't want to erase what is already on there, I just want to add new songs, but as soon as I choose "cancel" (when it asks if I want to "erase and sync") all traces of the iPod disappear from the computer. I can't even get to a point with the iPod on the "devices" list in iTunes. And I can't get to the iPod from "My Computer" after I have chosen to cancel the automatic sync. Does anyone know how to help me with this?

You can't do this.
iPod shuffle's can only have music loaded on to them from one computer at a time.

I want to purchase the track "Empires" by a British artist named Lamya. She passed away and it is a very good song. I can see that the song is for sale on the US iTunes site but it says I cannot purchase it because I am in Canada. How can I access it? I don't understand why there is a restriction for this. If I went to the UK and bought the CD there, I could bring it back to Canada and it wouldn't be a problem. If I bring my laptop to the US and purchased it while in the US, would I be able to keep it on my laptop, iphone when I returned to Canada?

You can't - the Terms of Use of the stores state that you can only buy from the country that you are in (e.g. due to licensing/distribution terms etc)

Here's the story - I have a Video Ipod. I have music on it from my ITunes that I installed on my computer (PC). My sister has her own computer with her own itunes and her own ipod installed on it (same model Ipod and same version Itunes and also a PC). I want her music. I want it on my Ipod. How do I do this?

Hey there, I have a complicated question!
I am dutch, and trying to buy some apps in the app store in Holland.
But...I'm living in French and I have an account witch allows me only to buy in the french app store and to connect me to the french itunes account. Just changing the country and using the same account name hasn't resolved the problem yet. I get the same message saying that I can only shop in the french app store!
Hopefully one of you smart guys got an answer for me ?!

You can ONLY buy from the itunes store of your country of residence ( proven by the valid billing address on your credit card) AND ONLY while inside the borders of that country.

You don't dial *228 on a 4G LTE phone to reprogram it or update the PRLs ... that's handled by the SIM card.

iTunes and Apple's devices work as an ecosystem. iTunes is designed to sync with Apple's products, not anyone else's. You'll need your songs in a format compatable with the Samsung phone and to use the software transfer program supplied/recommended. It is essentially not an Apple/iTunes problem. You may have better luck finding the information you need on Samsung's forums.

When I sync a certain cd from a certain band all of the music from another band dissapears and vise versa.

This problem has perplexed me for quite some time. I have been trying to find a solution to this for a while now and have had no luck. The problem I face is that I have trouble getting a cd from one band and all of the music from another band to sync to my ipod touch. When I do manage to get one of them to sync the other one isn't synced. I do manage to get the other one to sync but the previous one gets removed from my ipod. In detail it is the plastic beach album from the gorillaz and a two disc greatest hits set from sublime. I have no problem syncing other items to my ipod. Before the last update neither of those items would sync to my ipod. After the update I managed to get the gorillaz cd to sync but no sublime. I unchecked the sublime music and resynced my ipod. Then I checked the sublime music and synced my ipod. This worked in putting the sublime music on my ipod but for some reason removed the gorillaz albume from my ipod. When I went through the same process to try and get the gorillaz ablum back on my ipod it removes the sublime music. I never receive any kind of error message. I highly doubt apple support is going to help at all because I am using a pc and last time I tried to get help from apple support they tried to get me to start messing with my reg key edit. That problem I actually ended up fixing with a hard reset so my faith in the apple support hotline has been demolished. I was hoping there might be someone on here that has run into a similar problem and knows the fix for this.

I would like to add something to this. I just discovered tonight that in the case of both the specific cd and the entire sublime music they will be removed each time I sync my ipod. But if I uncheck them, sync the ipod, then check them again sync the ipod one more time they will the on my ipod. But upon the next sync the songs will be removed even though they are checked.

I have multiple itunes accounts... can i sign into all of them and drag music... without having to sync them all?... is that what home sharing is? please help.. i use to be able to get music from any account but now it says im already attached to one!

When you delete items (movies, music, whatever) from your iTunes library the sync software automatically deletes those items from your iPod. The sync's goal is to make your iPod mirror your iTunes library.
When you use the "only sync checked items" it tells the software that <only> those items are to be on your iPod -it will delete other items from that category.
I don't have a video iPod to test with, but I think your only option is to sync everything you want onto your iPod, and then turn off sync completely, in favor of manual updates.
