Getting music onto an iPhone

Hello. A riend of mine recently purchased a new iPhone. He doesn't have a Mac, or a PC. Other than an Android tablet. He's wanting to get a bunch of music onto his iPhone from a USB Flash drive. Is there any way to do this, if you don't have a copy of iTunes on a computer of some kind?

Sorry, not possible. It needs to come your computer (iTunes) or iCloud. To get it on iCloud, it has to come from an iOS device or a computer.
You might be able to use an app like Box or Dropbox. If you can get the music onto one of their servers, I believe the app can play the music.

in itunes make sure your menu bar is visable ( click the black and white squar in the top left corner > go to show menue bar)
click VIEW in the menu bar> chose "show sidebar"
then in the sidebar click on oyur device that will take you to the summary pane of your device
then at the top it will say summary info apps music movies ect...
click on MUSIC
then check the box beside of SYNC MUSIC
then check the option to sync entire music library

This can be done by adding the desired media to iTunes, then setting the iPhone up to sync with iTunes. The content added to iTunes does not necessarily need to be purchased from iTunes.

How can I get music onto my iPhone 4S

My iTunes says that there is music on the phone however there isn't. Everytime I click sync nothing actually gets transferred to the phone. Any ideas why this is happening? and how can I fix it?

You would have to create the ringtone. Google will find several ways to do this.
You can only buy ready made ringtones from the ringtones asections of the itunes store on your iphone.

I am losing the will to live trying to do what I thought would be a straightforward task. It certainly used to be?!?! Copy my music on Itunes from my Mac to new iPhone5.
When I connect iPhone 5 to Mac via usb, automatically shows my iPhone5 device on Iphoto, then when I close Iphoto and open Itunes the device isn't anywhere to be seen. I've read a few other articles/solutions that mention about ctrl S or option command s but that produces the classic apple "thud" response. Rapdily losing my faith in Apple to be honest. I have (I think) downloaded the most up to date iTunes and iOS but everything is now a total mess and not intuitive at all. I am not a techno geek so please, please can someone help using plain English.

Do you see a number associated with the error?
What does it say is syncing in the little window at the top of iTunes?
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and then try syncing less content to identify what is causing the problem.

I have a whole library of songs on my itunes library. I got them all on my ipod ok but I cannot get them onto my iphone.

Have you sync'd your iTunes library with your iPhone? Most of the time music etc. is grayed out for the iPhone/iPod if you have it set to automatically sync. The only time it's not grayed out is if you've checked the option to "manage music manually". That may be why it's not letting you move it over manually. However if you've already sync'd it I don't know why you'd be trying to move stuff over manually anyway.
You can also transfer items you bought on your iphone (like your iBook) to your iTunes library. Just click "File" then click "Transfer items from iPhone".

If you're syncing with a different iTunes library than the one you previously synced with, then there is no way around it. You're gonna loose the old data. The only way round it would be to make sure that all the music files on your iPhone is also in your iTunes library. If you still have access to the computer with the old library, you could copy the files on to an external harddrive, and then import them into your new iTunes library.
If it is in fact the same library, then the music currently on your iphone, is also in your itunes library. Just make sure that the artists/albums/playlists, or whatever you sync contains these tracks, that you allready have on your phone and don't want deleted. What i do is, i create a playlist specifically for my iPhone, and i set it up to only sync with this playlist. Whenever i hear a track from my iTunes library or buy a new track that i want on my phone, i just drag it to this playlist and next time i synchronize, it's there without deleting anything else.

Before you sync your iPhone make sure that all the music that was synced to your phonereviously has been copied to your iTunes on the new MacBook Pro. Then when you connect your phone you will be able to either sync all music or select only those playlists that you want on the phone.

If your Mac can burn CDs, and your song is not ineligible because it is a "protected" track, try this in iTunes:

Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

Can't put music onto my Iphone 4 or listen to any music previously on it. Help!!

Hello. For the past 2 weeks every single time ive tried to put any music onto my iphone 4 it comes up as not sync'd and on my phone it shows the song with a little red square and a red circle around it. Yesturday I tried again but this time all 1500 songs on my phone started showing the red square and circle. I have updated to iOS7 but not the update since then as that update has done enough damage to my phone as is. Does anyone know how I can fix this as music is the entire reason I ever bought an Iphone to begin with..
This is what my itunes looks like now, after all songs have been deleted because I figured maybe that would help.
Here is what it looks like on my phone
I deleted every song off of my phone on the phone and on itunes but as i was getting the pictures together for this post apparently all the music i deleted is back on my phone but all still with the red square and circle.

Connect your Device to Computer. Select your iPhone under "Devices" on the left Pane. On the right Pane, select MUSIC tab. Make sure SYNC MUSIC box is checked. Then click the SYNC button on the lower right Window.
