Getting music videos onto iPhone 4

I would like to play downloaded music videos through a home theatre product i have recently purchased and I've having a bit of trouble....
Firstly, i have never had problems playing 'normal' mp4 style videos which i have in iTunes, and have copied over to my iPhone 4- These can be found in the iPod mode under 'Videos' and play fine.
I tried to get music videos onto my phone directly from my mac- (these appear both in my music library in iTunes and in the 'Music Videos' Playlist), but when i try syncing it to my iPhone when its connected it appears to sync, but afterwards i cannot find it anywhere on the iPhone!
I though i had cracked it then, when i downloaded 3/4 music videos directly from the itunes store on my iPhone 4, as they downloaded with no problems, and suddenly appeared under a new category in the video option (in iPod mode on iPhone 4) labelled music videos. I was chuffed and this worked fine, until i synced with itunes on my mac again (for backup purposes) and it decided to get rid of them from my phone. Once more I'm back to square one, with the music videos on my Mac fine, but with no way of getting them back on my iPhone4. I'm sure I'm being an idiot and there is something simple I'm missing but i just cant work it out....
please please help!!!

I am having the same issue. I have tried reinstalling itunes, I have wiped my phone and set it up again. I don't know what else to do.

okay...well I downloaded videora ipod converter and used it on a video...now I have sound and the first frame of the video but it plays it as if that's the album art, like a song.. and when I play it on my itunes the picture is all scrambled in green and orange. uhh..?

Getting video onto iPhone

So far I have managed to DL a file converter that has made a (really lo res) mp4 file out of a mov file, which is now in a playlist on iTunes. When I synch the phone, the file doesn't show up. How do I get it to be recognised by the iPhone?
Searched for an answer and read the cryptic msg that Apple want you to have different file sizes?!

Hi there, Try this. In iTunes go to "Video" tab in the iPhone summary. Click on "Sync" and "all TV shows" and finally try to sync again your iPhone. It should be there now. I hope.

i just downloaded a couple of music videos onto my computer from limewire and put it into my file in i-tunes. i can play the music videos on i-tunes but i can not transfer them to my ipod. i tried to convert them using vidoria and still i can not get them into my video ipod. i have no problems with converting dvd but dont know what i am doing wrong on the music videos? can anyone give me some direction?

Try projecting one of the images without using Powerpoint. Just open the original jpeg file in Preview or something. What's the quality? If it's good then it's likely something Powerpoint is doing to the image. For that you'd have to ask on a Microsoft forum or be lucky and somebody here might be more familiar with Pp than I.
I don't think it should be a matter of Mac vs Dell. I'm not very familiar with projectors but probably by the time it is coming out of your computer it is just a video signal and people have been using non-Mac displays with Macs for 15+ years.

The YouTube app is not included in iOS 6 (I think because the licensing agreement with google ended). You will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version), or (if this isn't the version that you have tried) try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)

The iphone is not a backup/storage device. It simply mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is isynced. The sync is oen way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You should copy everything (files/docs/music/pics/contacts/calendars/etc) from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

You can only transfer music purchased from the iTunes store from your phone to your computer. To do this, authorize iTunes for the Apple ID(s) used to purchase the music in Store>Authorize This Computer, then connect your phone to your computer and in iTunes go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
To transfer music from other sources from your phone to your computer, you'll have to use 3rd party software such as Touch Copy.

Cannot get Music or Video onto iPhone 5

I have a new Iphone 5 - 16gb,
I cannot download any of my purchased music or new purchase from the store - it runs through the download, gets to processing then fails with a "item cannot be downloaded at this time - Done or Retry"
I cannot sync any music from my PC (Sony Vaio). It appears to run through the process, but nothing transfers - under music on the iPhone the selection appears greyed out in iTunes, but cannot be seen from the device.
Match is not enabled. Auto Update is not enabled
It does actually sync photos.
My iPod Classic and Ipad (new one with lightening) work abosulutly fine.
So far I have:
Re-installed iTunes
Reset and restored iPhone
Changed from Manual to Automatic Sync
Changed endless spurous settings that have been suggested on various forums
After 5 hours of trying I am on the verge of giving up and returning to Android as the iPhone isn't fit for purpose.
If anyone has any ideas that will help I would be incredibly grateful as I really don't want to revert to my old phone.

I reset the iPhone and set it up as a new phone (not using a previous backup). This seems to have fixed the problem with downloading purchases. I tried this with a purchase from yesterday and will try a couple of others.
I will try it with iTunes shortly and see if this has fixed this problem as well.
I am wondering if the problem stems from using a backup file originally created on my iPad to initially set up the phone.

Getting 1,000+ tiny videos onto iPhone??

I've got over a thousand tiny videos* that I'm trying to get onto my iPhone.
iTunes considers them "movies". As such, I need to select each and every one of them in the Movies tab to try to sync them to my iPhone. Ugh.
So then I noodled around and discovered there's an option to copy Music Videos when syncing. More noodling around and I discovered that I can set that on the Get Info window's Video tab.
However, this option is not on the Get Options window if you select more than one video. Argggghhhhhhhhhh!
Is there a way to batch-change a video's type to "Music Video"? Or is there a better way of handling this?
*--The videos are all from 1 to 8 seconds long. They are video examples of American Sign Language from a dictionary I bought. I'd love to be able to carry around a video dictionary with me!

Hmm... more information:
I manually changed a few of them to "Music video" and they transfered just fine.
But they don't play.
All I see is one frame of video, but it won't play.
If I change it back to "Movie", select it in the Movies tab, and resync, then it shows up in movies but it still doesn't play. This time, I don't even see the single frame of video--it's completely black.
Is there a minimum movie length?
Does it have to have a sound track? These are video-only files (as you might expect for American Sign Language). I converted them using iTunes itself, so I figured it would add anything necessary.
