Getting my feature back
With my older i tunes version i could play a song and on the bottom of itunes it would tell me other arstist that i would enjoy also instead of showing the mini store random **** artist that i have no intrest in.... ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN GET THAT FEATURE BACK PLEASE!!!!!!! give you a high five

^^That above is found in the message window when you have a open conversation up on your screen while using ICHAT.
Before the LION update, my messaging window (if i didn't close it out after i'm done chatting with a buddy) would display the times when that "buddy" would go IDLE, AWAY, OFFLINE, SIGN ON, etc.
AFTER MY LION UPDATE: But now, all it will state are only the times that the "buddy" SIGNED ON and SIGNED OFF. What about the "IDLE" times? How about the exact time they went "AWAY"??
I also want to mention, that yes, I do see that on each buddy message window, at the top on a gray-colored bar it states the Buddy current Status, whether "AWAY" or "IDLE" or "OFFLINE" or "ONLINE". But what it doesn't do is give you a "feed" like ability to record exact times when that happen, because I could do that before the update.

After downloading the ios7 to my iPhone 4s, the keyboard does not have the microphone so I can't speak to text. How do I get this feature back?
Go to Settings > General > Siri and turn Siri on. Once you turn it on, you will have the microphone key back on the keyboard

I've upgraded to yosemite, and safari tells me it doesn't support "community toolbar". How can I get this feature back?
The "community toolbar" is part of the adware Conduit. You don't want that feature back!

The message suggestions that pop up while typing have disappeared. How do I get this feature back?
I recently upgraded to ios 8.0.2 on the iPhone 5. One new feature I noticed was a grey box that listed word suggestions to add to a text as it was being typed (not to be confused with the auto correct or original word bubble that pops up for autocomplete). It disappeared and I am not sure why or how I can get this feature back.
If there is a thin gray bar with a white dash in the middle immediately above the keyboard, you can reopen the suggestions by placing a finger on the white dash and dragging up.
You can turn the suggestions on/off by going to Settings > General > Keyboard > Predictives -
I did the 7.1.1 update on both my iPhone 5s and on my iPad. The calendar on the Iphone no longer shows me a list of upcoming/past events. I still can get this info on my iPad though. Can anyone tell me how to turn this feature back on so I get get the list using my iPhone?
Tap on a Day to put it in Day view then tap the icon on the top right that looks like three dots with lines after them.

I'm not sure what the feature is technically called. I have Google as the start page and use that to search.
In older versions of Firefox, after entering a search phrase in the main Google search bar, the phrase was shown next to a little Google icon. It was usually below the bar showing the URL I happened to click on.
I could then open a new tab and click on the little Google icon and get more search results in that new tab. I could then compare web pages on different tabs.
Maybe I have set the tabs function up differently? In any case, I hope there is a way to use the same search phrase in different tabs.

In the prior version, on exit, Firefox asked me if I wanted to save my tabs for the next session. Firefox 4 does not do that. It loses my tabs so when I open up a new session I am starting from scratch rather than where I left off at.

There are the two entirely separate methods of resuming with the previous tabs. As mentioned in the first part of my message, the method you have chosen is to specifically start with the last set of tabs instead of starting with a home page.
The other method is to (maybe more as a one off) select to open with previous tabs from either the button in the default page, or from the history menu. It is this method that previously had the question as you closed down, there is no longer the question asking if you want to save the open tabs, although you do still get the option to use them on startup. It is a more sensible method, but it does cause concern for those of us used to being asked on closedown. -
I'm running a macbook pro on OS 10.6.8 with 2 gig of ram (maxed out). I love firefox and often open 10-20 active tabs. When Activity Monitor App tells me my ram is used up, I will often force quit firefox which frees up ram by unloading the content.
Past versions of firefox would restart with the first tab titled "this is embarrassing..." and then list the tabs that had been open. Then I could quickly scroll through that list and unclick the ones I no longer needed.
The current version 35.0 opens up all the tabs immediately after a force quit and won't let me close them without loading all the content first, again using up all of my ram.
Is there a preference setting to allow me to get this prior list funtionality, which frankly, was the feature I use the most.
Which previous version of Firefox could I devolve to in order to regain this Ram-around. (unless you want to buy me a new laptop you're about to suggest :)

JeffDid you use the Reset/Refresh feature? That would uncustomize the following setting. Otherwise, it's hard to know what would have changed it.
To change what Firefox does after a crash, from trying to restore the session automatically to showing a list of windows and tabs, here's the preference you're looking for:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''sess''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes''' preference and change the value from 1 to 0 and OK that. -
To find pinch open and close and how it works in macbook pro go to the apple icon. Open system preferences and the choose trackpad. Each item is illustrated.
You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page.

On Firefox 3.6 the back and forward buttons also had a drop-down menu to enable me to jump back to one of the last, say, 10 pages I had viewed rather than only go back one at a time. Also, the reload button appears to be missing and I can't figure out how to bring these back. Otherwise, an awesome upgrade; thanks for all your hard work on this fantastic product.
You can right-click either Back or Forward button to open the tab history list.

I can no longer open a 2nd window in firefox. How do I get this feature back?
When I right click a link & ask to open it in a 2nd window, it doesn't work. I can open a new tab. But I can't drag the tab & create a 2nd window that way either. I also click on the firefox icon & ask for a 2nd window but that doesn't work.

I recently had a firefox update (withing past 3 days). Now when I go to close down my browser it only asks me if I am sure I want to close all tabs.
Previously it had asked me if I wanted to quit and save my open tabs or just quit.You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session.<br />
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page.<br />
Another possibility is to use:<br />
*Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"
You can set the warn prefs on the about:config page to true via the right-click context menu or toggle with a double left-click.

I cannot print 1200dpi with my 5000GN and windows 7, 64 bit. How do I get this feature back?
I've downloaded and installed the latest PCL 6 print driver (Dec2011). It works fine, but still does not give me the printer setup options I used to get in Win XP.
There used to be photoRET, 1200dpi resolution, etc.
Now I only get 600dpi.
I do see the extra print tray 3, and though it has B paper it said it was letter. I was able to change it manually to B. It also shows the duplexer present.
The PCL 5 driver installed by windows also does not give other dpi options.
Win 7 Ult, x64 all updated.
The printer is on the local Ethernet.
