Getting my line back with BT

It all startted after a company phoned me with cheaper calls/line rental offer, at first I thought 'great' but decided against it. I emailed them saying I had decided against it, then a letter came through saying my line was with them, which prompeted me to phone them, they appologised and I was told that BT could take the line back.
BT was due to retake my line back on 11th November, this date came and went - I thought it had been done. I used the 1571 service - but it wasnt BTs normal one, so I phoned to see what was what (at this point I found out I couldnt phone 150 either) - work was supposed to have been done.
Towards the last week in November, I was told that someone from the off line team would phone me, but they didnt. Now someone out in India has put it down as a fault at the exchange.
I have a feeling my line still isnt with BT (as got a generic 1571 service, and am still unable to use 150)
I am unhappy with BT at the moment, the fault is due to be sorted by end of today - but as its not a fault, i cant see anything getting done.
I've now had another letter from the other company threatening to disconnect services, even though line rental has been paid to BT.
Another problem I have is online - I cant use residential faults, as it thinks I am a business (I know my number used to be a business line, but BT assigned it to me!)

    Okay ... you might be able to get back some of your past purchases if your country's iTunes Store supports redownloading past purchases. See the following document for instructions:

    ... but if you didn't maintain a back-up, then other content (songs that you'd ripped yourself from CDs and so forth) is gone, and you'd have to reimport it.

    In short. No, you cannot unsync.  If you had a back up from your old iPhone you cand restore from a back up.
    In iTunes go to Edit > Preferences > Devices > and select the latest back up. 
    Before you synced your phone did you have it set up with the PhotoStream or iCloud? The pictures would be saved there.  Or if you had them sync to a file on your computer.

  • Can't get mac line back online - a continual problem

    Hello,
    I've read most all the posts I can find on this subject.  Mac air mac mail goes offline and I just can't get it back on.  I've changed nothing with MY mail, but all of a sudden it just goes offline, then I cannot get it back online.
    I have tried "network diagnostics" via going to System Preferences > Network > and my computer is on line.
    If I go to the Mail Connection Doctor, the top line says: Mail was able to connect to the Internet; however, all my accounts have red dots, not green ones, AND the actual "network diagnostics" option is grayed out.
    On every email account I have it says: Could not connect to this SMTP server.  Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the Account preferences (nothing has changed so all information is correct). Also verify that the server supports SSL.  If it does not, deselect the "Use SSL" checkbox in the Advanced tab of Account preferences.  I have tried it both ways, checked and unchecked. My server supports SSL, and it was always set with that checked.
    I was getting and sending mail a couple days ago.  Nothing has changed except Mac mail and not being able to get it back online.  And this happens all the time.  It gets so old.
    I also went to Mailbox > Take all accounts ON LINE > but nothing happens when I click on that.  I cannot click on take it OFF LINE because it's grayed out.  I thought I'd toggle back and forth and see if it helps.
    So everything is just grayed out, yet I am connected to the internet and conneted to my WIFI and nothing has changed from a couple days ago, EXCEPT my mail is now OFFLINE and I can't send or receive.  Well, the "mail is offline" is grayed out, and "take all mail online" is not. All the accounts have the little triangle icons next to them.  If I click on those it says Connection Failed: 5 accounts have connection failures. Click the indicator next to each account for details.  Then I get two options "stay offline or take all accounts online. 
    So many conflicting messages -- it's online, take it off, it's off line, take it on, unable to connect to internet (except I'm here connected to the internet), network diagnostics grayed out, yet status tab in the bar across the top says "OFFLINE" and there is no way to put it back online.
    Really crazy! This happens all the time -- all the time.  And then I post and browse and google and nothing gets accomplished and I forget about it and use other computers and devices to send email.  Then one day it'll just start working again.
    How can I fix this once and for all and stop this nonsense of having it goo offline and not being able to get it back on using ALL the options available?
    I need to add: I have deleted the account and re-added the account, but I always get the mail message:
    The MobileMe IMAP server “mail.me.com” is not responding. Try checking the network connection, and that the server name is correct. Otherwise, the server might be temporarily unavailable. If you continue, you might not be able to receive messages.
    Mobile Me is non existent now, but that is what MY computer message tells me.  And again, my network connection is fine, just not for EMAIL.

    Please read this whole message before doing anything.
    This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device. 
    Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
    Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
    When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
    If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click  Log in.
    *Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • Slim fails to login...how to get command line back?

    Man, what a drag.  I (seemingly) successfully installed Arch with xfce, which is a huge accomplishment for a guy coming from years of Ubuntu, and avoiding command line and config files every chance he gets.
    Anyway, I'm using slim as a display manager, and it fails to login (I am choosing the xfce session).  I can't seem to get to a command line so that I can try a different display manager.  Google says that Ctrl-Alt-F1 should do the trick, but that just gives me a black screen and sits there.  Any help?

    Whenever you have a question, please post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements) and the results you want from that data. Explain how you get those results from that data.
    If you can show your problem using commonly available tables (liek those in the scott schema) then you don't have to post any sample data; just the results and explanation.
    Always say which version of Oracle you're using.
    I believe your problem is very much like this:
    Say you want to display one row for every ditinct job in the scott.emp table.

    I want my WiFi back.  This is costing me a fortune and I think apple needs to cover these costs!

    The songs I'm trying to reload on my phone are on my PC.  These we had loaded into iTunes.  I can remove them all from the library and then add them all back one by one I imagine.  The problem I'm having is that I removed them manually from the phone, they still appear in iTunes music library yet they won't sync.  I don't want to take the time to compare the phone to my library, remove from the library what's missing on the phone and then add them all back again.  64GB (mostly music) will take a while.

    iTunes and iCloud are not the same.
    On your device go Settings > iCloud > Delete Account > Sign in with the new Apple ID
    This will seperate your Contacts and Messages. You both can continue to use the same Apple ID for iTunes and share apps and music
