Getting my mail after moving to icloud

Hi. I have a 10.6.8 operating system. I can not retrieve mail from my usual [email protected] Every time I want to see my mail, I have to go to the MobileMe ending notifcation notice, sign in, and see my mail on icloud. I don't want to do this every time. I have changed to icloud but am only having troubles. I AM A COMPUTER ILLITERATE late middle aged gentleman who does not find change enjoyable . I thank you (whoever you are for helping me).

The mail server you are using is incorrect, it may work for a short while but it will fail (it is a Mobile Me server)

  • Wrong reply-to address sent from iPhone mail  after moving to iCloud

I had this strange experience that shortly after moving to iCloud, one of my email accounts got mixed up with the reply to address.
    I use both accounts:
    - [email protected]
    - [email protected]
When I reply to a message received in my xs4all account and send a reply (visually is in the mail the field From: [email protected]), the receiver will get a mail with reply address [email protected]
So I noticed that all replies were sent to my gmail account.
    Has anyone else the same?

Try SETTINGS, ICLOUD, click ACCOUNT field and scroll down to MAIL.  Click on MAIL field.  Here you can click on EMAIL field and a new screen of choices for default account comes up.  Choose your default account here.  Go back a page and you see ALLOW SENDING FROM and a list of allowed addresses to pick.  Choose all of the ones you'd like to be able to use.  HOPE THAT HELPS YOU.  Click DONE when you finish.  Tami

    Hi Judy,
    Problem solved.
Go into Mail/Acounts and delete you iCloud account.
Now add a new account and type in your details for MobileMe/iCloud.
It should now work. O noticed the default server name is different.
    Hope this helps.

It's possible to access iCloud email in the Mail application on Snow Leopard, Leopard or Tiger by setting it up manually:
Entering iCloud email settings manually in Snow Leopard or Leopard

  • I cannot get my mail after ios7 download???

How to get my mail after downloading ios7?

Yep, you'll probably have to delete and recreate the account. If it was an iCloud or IMAP account, no mail will be lost. If it was POP, all mail will be lost if you delete it so back it up elsewhere.

  • Getting confirmation mail after sending PO to a supplier

Is there any fuctionalality of getting confirmation mail after the vendor receives a purchase order (output condition is set for the PO  medium is external send). If yes, who will get this confirmation mail , the creator of the PO or the buyer of the purchasing group??

A purchase order response (POR) can be created in response to a purchase order (PO) in the Enterprise Buyer System if
    ·        An XML message is received from the vendor in response to a PO or
    ·        It is created manually by a desktop user (for example an purchasing assistant) or a purchaser (professional user)
In both cases, a POR (business object BUS2209) is created and the associated start conditions (predefined and delivered activated) are evaluated, causing different workflows to be started:

  • Native Mail app unable to get new mail after updating to iOS 5.0.1

Just after I installed 5.0.1 (OTA) I've noticed that native ios mail client is unable to get new mail messages anymore. I have three seperate mail accounts (Gmail, Hotmail, iCloud) connected to my iPad2 and none of them works after this software update. All I get is three seperate error messages (Cannot Get Mail) one after another for each account, same kinda of messages as you get once you try to open your Mail app with no internet connection, but this time it's not an issue as my iPad is connected to my home WiFi which is working just fine.
I've tried to restart my device, checked mail settings, made sure all the passwords are ok by typing them once again for all the accounts and I managed to get confirmation that they're ok with no difficulties using the same device.
All other apps that uses internet connection seems to be working with no problems as well.

    Any ideas?

Once I got new mail messages to each mailbox it seems that everything got back to normal.

  • Email aliases gone after moving to iCloud

Apple told me we'd be able to keep out email aliases after moving from MobileMe to iCloud - now only my main email address appears.  Is there any way to use the aliases?

  • 'Mail' won't get e-mail after the latest Security Update...

    Hey all...
Title says it all. I did the Security Update a few days ago. After the restart, I lost all e-mail from 12/19 on, and have not been able to get new mail since then. The mac in doubt is a G5 iMac 20" running Tiger 10.4.11... No other updates have been done, and all of the other applications seem to work well. I know this is an 'update' issue, as I'm able to get new mail on my iPhone, Powerbook and work Dell.
On a side note, I called Apple on this, and pretty much said the 'update' wasn't an issue.. really, cause it started happening right after the update..
Any insight to fix this would be awesome...
    Thanks,
    Craig

I did remove 'Mail' from the Library/Cache folder and then 'Envelope Index' from the Library/Mail folder.. rebooted after eraser... and nothing new, except for a prompt to re-install 'Mail'.. which I did...
There's a problem there. Unless you deleted the actual Mail application, there would be no reason for any message to reinstall Mail triggered, since it's still there.
At this point, you'll need to do an Archive & Install, with the Preserve Users and Network Settings option. This will remove the current system and replace it with a new one; all programs and data will be left intact. To do this:
    1. Quit all running applications and use Disk Utility to Repair Permissions.
    2. Insert your Mac OS X install/restore disc and boot your Mac from it (hold down the 'C' key until you see the statup screen).
    3. Select your language and proceed with an install as you normally would, but choose Archive & Install, with Preserve Users and Network Settings; run the installer.
    4. After your Mac restarts, eject the disk, then apply the 10.4.11 Combo Update (quit Software Update without updating anything).
    5. Run Software update to bring your system current, and delete the Previous Systems folder.
    6. Repair Permissions again, then restart your Mac and test for this problem.
