Hi all ,Please help to solve this problem.
Given a date, I need to get date object for the (given date-1) date object ,(given date-2),(given date-3) ....
and also
givendate+1,given date+2 ...
help me out to solve this problem

2. Posting date is avaialble as char you will get
3. need to calcualte difference b/w those 2 dates you can refer below By using replacement path we can convert both dates into get difference.

Hi Gokul...
Instead of using the funtion module you can just write the 3 statements of code to get the first day of the week.
Its similar to the above one but instead of writing case statement you can achive the following.
data : w_res type i,
w_data type d,
w_res = w_date mod 7.
w_date = w_date - w_res.
write w_date.
This works.

in my report there is calculations need tobe done for the following.

Invoice Date - 2009.03.24. I need to capture no. of days in that month ie, 03 (march)
Case - Elapse Days
no of elapse days since 1st of every month ie, if current day is 2009.03.24, elapse days will be 24days....not the working days...but all the days in that month from 1st of ebery month to till today.

You can pass your Invoice date ( Month and Year ) into Function Module NUMBER_OF_DAYS_PER_MONTH_GET
and get no.of days for that Month.

Can you explain your requirment more elaborate.
For my understanding
1) if your invoice date is 2009.03.24, and you want elapse days will be 24.
use Concatenate funtion and get the value 24.
2) if your Current date (system date )is 2009.03.24, and you want elapse days will be 24.
use Concatenate funtion to system date and get the value 24.
3)if your invoice date is 2009.03.01,system date is 2009.03.24 and you want elapse days will be 24.
use function module 'DAYS_BETWEEN_TWO_DATES' with passing your invoice date ans system date, you will get the elapse days vale 24.

Any FM to get count of each week day for the given date range?
eg: If i give 14/07/2008 to 14/08/2008
I need to find how many Mondays, tuesdays...sundays in this given date range.
If not single FM is available, any logic that gives above result is also appreciated.

Here a date and an integer will be the input.

That is the main crux of it, yes, but homework or not, you should actually attempt to catch and handle the exceptions, rather than simply declaring "throws Exception". Handling exceptions in the homework assignments will cause that to become a habit and you will actually do it correctly without thinking about it. Just like constantly declaring "throws Exception" in your homework will also make that a habit, and guarnatee that you will someday also do that when it counts, thereby causing all sorts of problems (usually for coworkers).

from this report what i am getting is year and its 12 months but my requirement is i will give date using select options and i should get the total no of working days in b/w this date.

Hi experts,
I am working on Inventory withdrawl report and in the selection screen, If i enter the CHARG (Batch number) then I need to display the posting date by default in the next selection input based on the Batch number.
In the selection screen :
Batch : 7111WF0211.
Posting Date : (I need to display by default based on batch number).
My requirement is, in the above Batch first digit '7' is the year.
And from 2nd to 4th digit. i.e., 111. I need to find out month and day from 111.
I mean from 1 to 365 days, In which day and which month '111' will come ?
Please send me the code or suitable Function Module. Your help will be appreciated.

You will get the date in date_p_d.
But what about Leap years? IS the first number the year?
IF so pass in i_idate the first of january of that year so you get the correct day depending if it is a leap year or not

You can use DATE_COMPUTE_DAY to get the day number of the week (for example, today gives 5)

    To do this - You have to add one ZDATE (InfoObject ) to 1st ODS. ZDATE is updated by itself from current date of system when ever you are loading data to 1st ODS.
Step 2:
   You have to do full update to 2nd ods.At the selection screen of InfoPackage (from 1st ODS to 2nd ODS ) you have to write following code for ZDATE.
pseudo Code:
1) Select fields "Rec_INSERT","Time stamp","Request Status" and "Request ID" where ICUBE = ODS1 from table "RSMONICDP"
2) Populate above selected fields data in INTERNAL TABLE
3) Sort INTERNAL TABLE by Time stamp .
4)
     If (Record Count = ' 0 ' for current date in internal table )
     update records from ODS1 to ODS2 where ZDATE = "yesterday date"
     else
     update records from ODS1 to ODS2 where ZDATE= "today date"
     endif.
Make sure this is full update not delta update from ODS1 to ODS2

How to get Privious Day data in OBIEE

Hi experts i need to get preivious day data(Rating Given by Bank to a customer). Because this data (rating) is not an measure so i can't use AGO function.
So please suggest me how can i Get this without using AGO function.

yes, need to do as naresh said..
but in filter you need to assing this..
Apply filter on your date column
and click on convert this filter to SQL option..
here you need to assign the code given by naresh..
like..
your datecolumn =*timestampadd(sql_tsi_day,-1,daycolumn)*
likewise, you get.. but this gives you only previous day data as you asked..
