Getting new column while executing the query

Hi Experts,
i have query Dispatches on 0sd_c03, in query designer Grade(char) has draged into columns and it has only one key figure Quantity, whenever i am trying to exucte this report i am getting one more column that is named NOT ASSIGNED, this column getting figures from the before column.
what is the problem, how can solve,
pl help to do this.

Hi,
You are getting this value NOT ASSIGNED because the field does not have any value. it does not indicate any error but it says, the value has NULL VALUE.. first of all, try to find out if the null value is correct.
If so, in the selection, you can exclude NOT ASSIGNED values. which will give you required value.

hi,
is the report is on cube/ over multiprovider. if the report is multiprovider then chk all the fields in the identifcation is properly assigned to the infoproviders(cubes).
if u have more than one cube then this issue might happen.
any way, chk for the codntions/filters/restrcition for key figures at the report level.

Dump while executing the query on MProvider on Stock and Billing

Hi,
I am getting this dump while executing a Query on Multiprovider. Here Multiprovider is on Billing cube(z-cube) and 0IC_C03 cubes. In the report , I have KF of both cubes. I am sure I never faced this type of problem in version 3.5. It seems we are going back day by day because of version 7.0.
A:
1) I am not getting any error if I take Kfs of only Billing cube in the
report on the multiprovider.
2) But I am getting this problem by taking only KF from 0IC_c03 on this multiprovider .
3) And also this problem is not raising in any queries(ofcourse same type) of those 2 cubes.
4) Here Fiscal Variant is constant filter, and User will enter the Fiscal year.
5) In the Columns area ,I have taken 12 selections each one restricted with one CALMONTH2.
6) in Rows part I have 3 selections. Here 2 selections have Billing KF and other selection has Blockd Stock qty KF.
B:
The above dump is not raising if I take 12 selections on columns with a restriction on 0CALMONTH with Customer exit varible , but different offsets in selections. Here the Customer exit variable gets April of the User entered Financial year as the value. But the problem is For all columns it is giving same Value for Stock KF even though we have different values in the system. Surprisingly issue is , Sales figures are comming proper.
I am on Version 7 and patch 13. And I am using Querydesigner 3.5.

Can you say to which period this value correspond?
This looks like you are missing some characteristic identification in your multi.
Can you assess that?
Do you have the same time periods in both cubes? I mean, do you have at least the periods used in your RKF / query in both cubes? Would you mind pasting your identification for time IObjs from table RSDICMULTIIOBJ?

HI Satya,
In my opinion the issue is with your front end.
Results should be identical in RSRT, BEx Analyzer (Workbooks) and the ABAP-Web since all three frontend tools use the "ABAP Runtime layer".
It may differ In the Portal where the new "Java Runtime layer". (Java-Web.) is used.
This is given in OSS Note 1296576 - Different Query Behaviour: ABAP - Java.
So i think the problem lies in your analyser. If you are using Analyzer: BI Add on 7.X (Based on 7.10) try and get support package 8.

Serious system error while executing the query: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

From ALSB, we are trying to insert records in a table, by calling the ALDSP webservice. It is working fine when the xml (ie., given as input to the ALDSP webservice) is small. But facing the following error when the input xml size is large.

We do not want to increase the heap size. Is there any other way we can solve this problem?

In logical dataservice of ALDSP we have created a procedure called createTest, which is used to insert mulitple rows in the table. We have created a webservice for that logical DataService.
Using the ALSB, we are calling the webservice -> createTest Operation and we are passing xml as input to that createTest function.

Can you execute report BUP_BUSSRCHGF_REPAIR and try again ?
Also, go to transaction BUS10, click the button Geneate Selection. On next screen, give Application object = BUPA, Max no. of tables per view = 1.

Database is Oracle11G.
Oracle Database Table contains 8-9 lakh records

In Pagination, we are using Modified version of SQL Query 3) with ROWNUM as mentioned below :-

b) Instead of two % in the above query, if use one example REFERENCE like 'KMF22600920%' it is returning the 2 resultsets (execution time 0.03313019 seconds)
Issue:- When using two % in like in the above query i.e. REFERENCE like '%KMF22600920%' AND ROWNUM <= 20 ) , it is going to infinite.
Could you please let us know what is the issue with two % used in like and rownum
5) Modified version of Option1 query (move out the RNUM condition AND RNUM <= 20)

This would be easier to diagnose if there was an explain plan posted for the 'good' and 'bad' queries. Generally speaking using '%' on both sides precludes the use of any indexes.

Hi,
The Path is C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
You need to update "host file" in your server/in your PC. So ask Network people to do it and also you need to change your browser LANsettings.
Eg: 11.11.8.161 BWQ1 BWQ1.***.com
Like above you need to change in your host file.

Getting Brain Error while saving the query--Need Immediate solution

I designed query like this.
G/L account structure is defined in Rows. Before explaining about columns Let me Explain u about my ORG structure.
Company codes are defined in R/3 like this.
Company Code
1000 for Local Currency(HSL01)
2000 to 7000,IEL for group Currency(KSL01).
Iu2019m extracting the data as it is from R/3 to DSO and again by writing routine I splitter the data for months(EX: HSL01 is ApriL,Hsl02 May,u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026.KSL01 April, KSL02 may,u2026u2026u2026. Upto to 16 periods) this is R/3 data. This data I differentiated based upon currency types. If currency type is 10 then Local Currency 30 Means Group Currency.
Again Iu2019m receiving the data from Flat Files for subsidiaries(IEAI,IEG,IEEL,ISSCI,IHAL,TTM-US,TTM-INDIA,TTIT). This data I loaded first into DSO by writing Routine at field Level for G/L account to convert G/L Descriptions into Numbers.
After that I loaded data from first DSO to Second DSO by writing to convert respective currencies into INR and again loaded to cube by Direct mapping.
Again Iu2019m receiving the eliminations data from R/3 through Ztable. This also Iu2019m extracting from R/3 and loaded into dso and again into cube.
Now I will Explain about my Report.
In Columns I defined 3 selections for each month. U can observe that in Document. Like that for each month Iu2019m getting three selections and for subsidiaries 2 selections for each month. If we observe total Iu2019m getting 13 selections for India and 9 selections for each subsidiary. If subsidiaries increase I need to increase selections, automatically columns will increase. Now for Q4 2 new subsidiaries are added I need to added. After adding and while saving the query then only Iu2019m getting brain error.
Could any one sort out this.

Query ZQ3_MISGRPSUMMARYREPORT_010209 contains 8192 differing selection cells. However, only 8191 selection cells can be processed in a query.
Procedure
Please simplify query definition ZQ3_MISGRPSUMMARYREPORT_010209.
This was the error i'm getting. How to simplify this....

Diagnosis
The database system registered an SQL error. As available, the error number and a description are included in the short text. Possible causes for SQL errors include:
Overflow of database objects such as buffers, temporary tablespaces, rollback segments or data containers/tablespaces.
->These problems can generally be eliminated by system administrators.
Missing generated database objects such as tables or views based on inconsistent or inactive InfoCubes or InfoObjects. Examples of this include the view of the fact table for an InfoCube or the attribute SID table (X/Y table) of a characteristic.
-> These problems can generally be eliminated by a BW administrator.
SQL requests with incorrect content.
-> Problems of this type are generally programming errors.

Procedure for System Administration
If there is no error description, look for one in the reference from the database producer.
Decide on the correct category for the SQL error and check if it can be eliminated. Generally the error can also be found in the syslog (transaction sm21). From there, transactions sm51 and sm50, the developer's trace log of the work process can be determined and the erroneous statement can be viewed in the log. This procedure is described in SAP Note 568768.
Notification Number DBMAN 257
I verified the table spaces and also done RSRV Repair of InfoObjects and InfoCubes and didnt find any error. But I am receiving this error for one particular month and remaining months are executing fine. Any ideas why i am receiving this error.

Reason and Prerequisites
The MaxDB internal limit of 4016 bytes or 128 fields for GROUP BY columns was exceeded.
Solution
When you implement these corrections, no aggregation is performed for the data (GROUP BY) if the limits of the MaxDB database have been exceeded.
The limit values for the aggregation bahavior can also be manually reduced if there are problems with the default values.
Two RSADMIN parameters are provided for this.
MAXDB_MAX_GROUP_BY_FLDS is the maximum number of GROUP BY fields. The default value is 128.
MAXDB_MAX_GROUP_BY_LEN is the maximum total length of the GROUP BY fields. The default value is 4000.

Error while executing the query

Hi all,
I am facing two errors while executing my query namely
1)The validity interval has initial value as lower limit.
2)Diagnosis
Query uses non-cumulative key figures. It requires calculation for non-cumulative values for more than 2000 periods in time. The most common reason for this is that the non-cumulative InfoCube has a very large validity interval and the query has no time restrictions. With exception aggregation AVERAGE (AV1 or AV2) in particular, this lack of time restriction would result in considerable memory and performance problems.
System Response
Query cannot be executed in this way.
Please suggest a possible reason for these errors.

Displaying new column while selecting the rows

I am a new member of this forum and also beginner to database. Please let me know ,how to write a query for the below question.
There is a table with following details.
Name     Total marks
AAA     300
BBB     200
CCC     500
DDD     150
EEE     600
I want this detail to be arranged in descending order of total marks.And a new column should show the order of the result set, ranked from highest to lowest, in the order of Total marks.
i.e.,
Output should looklike as follows,
Name     Total marks Rank
EEE     600     1
CCC     500     2
AAA     300     3
BBB     200     4
DDD     150     5
Query:
Select name,total marks from studenttable orderby 2.
I want to know ,what to include with this query to get the rank column.

Krystian, the order by along with rownum at the same level will not always work.
SQL> select rownum, name from studenttable ;

    ROWNUM NAME

Changing the default port while executing the query

Hi gurus,
Please help me with this problem. When I open a query in BEx Analyzer 3.x, I get this option to launch the query in web browser, now, when I click on this option, there is a new IE explorer that opens up and the address bar shows up the following address.
http://<My Host name>:8100/sap/bw/bex?<The query>
Now, I want to change this port to 8000 by default, what are the settings that I have to change. I tried searching it everywhere, but to no avail, Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I got the answer on my own for this quetion guys,
The function module RSBB_URL_PREFIX_GET is used to generate the URL in BW. That is, when you click "Launch in Web Browser" in the BEx Anaylzer, "Display Query on the Web" in the BEx Query Designer or "Execute in the browser" in the Web Application Designer, the function module is called and this returns the protocol, host, domain, port and service.
The function module essentially runs through three steps:
Determine the settings on the application server and generate the URL for the application server.
Determine the settings relating to the message server, provided that it is used, and replace the host and port of the application server URL with the values for the message server.
Check whether an exception is defined for the URL generated in the previous two steps, and, if required, replace the host and port with the values from the exception.
First, the application server settings are created. If a message server is used, the settings relating to host and port are replaced with the message server settings. If an exception is maintained, the host and port are replaced in turn by the exception.
Hence a simple conclusion to this problem is that you need to maintain an exception or an entry in the table HTTPURLLOC, this can be done via SE11. the following fields appear and use the entry as shown below...
Client <default client>
Sort/Search/Match Sequence (First Match Wins) <Can be Numerical numbers 1 2 3 etc, depending on the priority>
Protocol for URL (TRANSLATE TO UPPER CASE) <http, https etc (Whatever you want to be used in the url)>
