Getting old podcast help ?

Hi All,
I love podcasts and subscribe to about 25 different ones. When I bought my iPod I found lots of back episodes. I listened to a lot and deleted the references to others that I thought I would not listen to. I came upon a episode of one today that referred back to a previous one that I had deleted without listening to. How do can I get a back episode to re-list in the podcast area of iTunes?? Can I somehow tell iTunes to undelete that episode or the listing of it so I can download it again?
I know I can go to the website and download the .mp3 file, then manaually put it in my Library and it will end up on the iPod. But I suspect it wont be listed under the podcast section on the iPod with the rest of the episodes for that particular podcast.
I ended up deleting all the episodes and unsubscribing to the podcast. I then re-subscribed and it gave me the entire list of expisodes. I re-downloaded the ones I had not listened to plus the back one that I wanted. But that's a lot of monkeying around . . .
Is there an easier way or is that it?
-wayne

im do not think you can recover your deleted podcast. However, if you want iTunes to keep all podcasts instead of updating ever time and deleting the old podcasts, go to iTunes>Preferences>Podcasts>Keep> then pick how long you want to keep old podcasts. This doesnt really give you a solution to your answer, but will prevent this from happening again.
