Getting "Oops! Your Skype Name isn't an email addr...

I'm using the latest version of Skype for Desktop, and getting the following error message when trying to login.
Oops! Your Skype Name isn’t an email address.. Try again or choose another way to sign in.
I've successfully logged in with the same information to the skype website.
Now I'm stumped - can anyone help me please ?

This is a problem with your Windows configuration, apply the .css registry patch to resolve the issue:

Hi,
Can someone please help me? I'm trying to login using my usual login name but it says "Your skype name and password were not recignized". I used it few of days ago and it was fine until last Sunday (04-Dec). I've already contacted support team 2 days ago but they don't seem to care too much!
Can someone explain me what is going on?

I have ambiguous Skype names two IDs One Email Ad...

One is a paid account. The other is not or so I believe.
The same Email address: Javaboy2Code at aol.com.
the first are real Skype address I wish to use as my skype ID is JavaBoy2Code
I would like that to be the account of choice. I also want to consolidate the contacts.
It now appears that only one Skype ID per email address is allowed.

Can't get Version or File name to show in Email.

When I email an image directly from Aperture, I would like the filename to appear in the email. I thought this could be set somewhere, but I'm drawing a blank and can't get a filename or any meta data to show up in my emailed images. I'm using Apple Mail.

Pagemaker did not have native tables. There was the app Adobe Table which you could create a stand-alone table file, then export to place in PM. So, this file is probaly not a "table", and most likely text. But you could easily convert text to table in Indesign, and then setup your alternating rows.

I have a problem with my skype name, because I created my account around 2005, I lost my password and I cannot restart it because Skype says:
It looks like the account associated with the Skype Name migcenel doesn’t have any billing details. Unfortunately, this means we are unable to verify your identity.

The problem is that my email associated with that account is closed and I really need to get back my skype name because is my unique name in all my accounts.

I work in IT Support and one of the users is receiving a message to "Reactivate your credit. Your Skype Credit is now inactive." The Skype name is not the user's. See information below. Is this suspicious? How can I prevent user from receiving these messages other than sending e-mail to "JUNK" folder?

List/manage all skype names associated with single...

Hi,
I have multiple skype names associated with single email id.
When i click on forgot password, skype asks for email id and when i provide email id(which is associated with say 5 skype names), it randomly selects one of the user name and generates a link/code for reset password.
Is there any way i can list/manage all skype names associated with single email id.

Skype name token?

I received three e.mails from skype giving me my skype name (one different from the one i have). "Your skype name token" and asking me to follow a link to discover it and enter my e.mail adresse. And then i received reminders about it, as i was a new user..and i am not.
what is it? i did not ask for any new skype name or token...
do i have to follow the link and enter my e.mail. Is it a scam?

Skype Name Changed (Yes! my Skype name. Not my Dis...

So i attempted to sign in with my original, as i believe, Skype name and password. They were both accurate. (Trust me. The ink was not smudged.) Sign in failed. Repeatedly. i asked for a reset of the password. Followed the procedure and reset my password. Sign in again failed. Repeatedly.
At this point i noticed that the Skpe Email reset was showing my account name but it was differrent by one character to my original, as i believe and had recorded, Skype name, i reset the password again and then using this new 'Skype name', with the altered character, signed in. Voilà! It worked.
Everything says you cannot change your Skype name. Display name, yes. Skype name, no. A new account is required if you want a new Skype name. So how come my Skype name has changed? [Since at least April 2013, (maybe even earlier).]
i would appreciate a Skype employee's response, thank you. Then i can go into the details by email.

Here's the deal: I have more than one apple ID. Actually many of us do. @ mac dot com, dot me dot com, over the past decade there have been lots o "Apple IDs" (as they're called).
So one was attached to my file syncing, another attached to my iTunes money. I still do not know how my wife's name got in there (maybe "family sharing with ios8 is trying to take over?), but I was able to fix it at least by logging into different IDs on different machines.

As bizarre as it sounds, sometimes people do create Skype accounts using other people's e-mail addresses. Why they would do so, I have no idea -- an account's registered e-mail address is the only way Skype communicates with accountholders. I can only surmise it is an attempt at identity theft and seeking financial information.
You may either change the password of the account, thereby assuming control of it, or contact Skype Customer Service to request your e-mail address be dis-associated with the account you did not create/set up. I would also recommend changing that e-mail address account's password.
If you choose to take control of the account, you can next request Skype Customer Service remove the account as explained here: 'Can I delete my Skype account?'
