Getting outdated Flash version
Sounds like a weird question but I would like to get my hands
on an outdated version of the Flash player (5 or previous) that I
can install on my machine.
Why you ask?
I have heard a few complaints about the Flash website I am
designing that the buttons are not appearing although the rest of
the page appears. This makes no sense to me but all I can guess is
that they are using an outdated Flash player and something is not
compatible so I would like to be able to test my website on an
outdated Flash version.
Any idea where I can find something like this?
Thanks

Flash Professional CS5.5 is a 32-bit application which can be installed on computers with either 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems.
You can purchase this by Adobe's backward Licensing policy :
" Adobe allows program members to order a current-version license but use a prior version. These members can contact Adobe Customer Service to request a serial number for the earlier version if they do not already have one. Prior-version software is available via ESD and can be purchased through standard resellers. The program member must follow all guidelines of the current-version EULA. "

Hi,
Could you download the appropriate version of the installer from the following page?
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/889580?tstart=0
Once downloaded, please quit all of your browsers and launch the installer. If it still fails, please restart your system and try again. Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,

When I try to watch any video clip I get this:
The version of “Adobe Flash Player” on your system does not include the latest security updates and has been blocked. To continue using “Adobe Flash Player”, download an updated version from Adobe’s website.
I tried clicking on the Adobe Flash Player. It said it accepted it but it did not make a difference.
Can anyone help?

The following troubleshooting guide might help -- in particular, check out the stuff about disabling Hardware Acceleration:

If that works, and you haven't downloaded the latest drivers for your graphics hardware, I'd do that and then enable hardware acceleration again. -
APE: outdated Flash Player versions
CS6 on Windows 7.
Secunia PSI warns me that I have an outdated Flash Player version 11.x (NPAPI) on my system. The module is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\APE\3.201\NPSWF32.dll - version 11.0.1.127
There is another version in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\APE\3.3\NPSWF32.dll - version 10.3.181.22, which is interestingly not flagged by PSI.
Question: are there updates available for these outdated FP versions?Pat, not sure if this is what you are looking for.

How to get Adobe Flash 10.1.102 installed on my Powerbook G4
I need help. All of a sudden I have been having problems with Adobe Flash Player. I know that my 2005 PowerPC Powerbook G4 is outdated, but I have no alternative at this moment to get a new one.
I have tried going through the Adobe site, which redirects you to an archived Flash player, and I downloaded it. It did not work and I have no idea of the best place to go to get the last version for the Powerbook, which I believe, is 10.1.102. And whan I get it, how do I install it for best performance?
2005 Powerbook G4 1.67ghz, PowerPC, OS 10.5.8
Thank you,
MichaelYou can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3.183.23 or later, is for Intel Macs only running Tiger or Leopard, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.4.402.265 is for Snow Leopard onwards.
* Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC Macs, you need to go here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
(If you are running a PPC Mac with Flash Player 10.1.102.64 and are having problems with watching videos on FaceBook or other sites, contributor Texas Mac Man suggests the following solution which fools the site into thinking that you are running the latest version:)
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work. -
Check latest Flash version using Ajax request
Hello and here is my simple question.
Is there any URL on adobe.com site that I can call from my page to find out latest flash player version? I know how to parse response using JS and just want to show link to http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer if visitor's flash player is outdated and don't bother them with extra buttons is everything is OK.I need only number (11.7.700.224 currently) and you think that it will be good style to get whole find-version-flash-player.html page (it is 107kb) and parse 2125 strings of html code just to extract "11.7.700.224" string from it? In that case my JS going to take tons of memory, traffic and CPU time.. I still have hope that there must be some small .xml or text file on adobe site somewhere and I can get it remotely from JS script to find out just "11.7.700.224" string.

Problems with the new flash version.
Turned on my computer (win 7, ff5) and found that both skype and youtube are crippled.
After some digging, it becomes clear that there has been a new flash version and im far from the only one with problems. I try to use the uninstaller - which works suspiciously quickly- and reinstall. I get a message saying that its already installed. When i try through firefox direct, it says an existing version may be in use.
So either the uninstaller or the installer is broken.
When on youtube for example, it alternates between telling me i need to update the plugin and to download from adobe. I have now done this several times, following the instructions. No suscess.
Have tried to change the hardware accelleration off, but as i cant see anything thats flash.... its not going well.Is your Win7 32-bit or 64-bit?
What files do you have in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash (32-bit) / C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash (64-bit) ? -
How do i get adobe flash player on a macbook pro

First, Flash Player is up to version 12 so I have to wonder where you're getting the file you're trying to install from. This link is direct to Adobe, where you can get the latest version. This link will tell you which version (if any) you currently have installed. Always get Adobe products, including Flash Player, from Adobe, since other sites which tell you you need it and then offer it may be installing malware instead.
