Getting photos off the iphone

How do I move the photos taken on the iphone to my computer? Do they become available by performing a backup via iTunes? If so, where are they being stored? If not, then what?

If you connect your iPhone, your operating system should detect it as a normal camera device if there are any photos on your camera roll. So you can use any application you would use to copy pictures from a normal digital camera (e.g. the Windows Scanner- and Camera Wizard).

How do I get photos off my iphone to print?  I have over 1000 photos.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you have a computer, connect the phone with a USB cable and import the photos in the same way you would import them from a camera.

  • Whats the best way to get photos off my iphone to my pc (ios8)

    Hi
Even with the new icloud drive I still want to take my photos off my iphone so I can take my own backups
I have icloud on my pc, so can access them this way - and this does include any photo editing I have done to the photos which is great.  However I have noticed when I do it this way, the size of the photo I save is only 1mb so it appears there is some kind of compression or reduction in the resolution which  bothers me slightly.  Is this something I should worry about?
So I have then gone and plugged in my iphone and grabbed the photos like a flash drive, however this only gives me the original photo without any photo editing!  I do however get the full size photo around the 1.6mb mark!
I guess I could used drop box or something similar (I get full size of 1.6mb and photo edits this way) but its a slow upload process.
Am I missing something in ios8 - I had assumed by now they would have made it easier to move photos around but its still seems like a total pain.  Can anyone help??
    Thanks so much

If these photos are in your Camera roll then you can transfer them by attaching your iPhone to your MacBook and having it recognized as a camera.
If the photos/videos are in Camera roll or not you can directly transfer them via WiFi from your iPhone to PC/Mac with an App like Photo Transfer.

Or you can upload the photos/videos to the Dropbox service using the Dropbox App on your iPhone and download them to a PC/Mac using the Dropbox App on that device.

  • I have an iPhone 3g. I cannot retrieve the photos from the photo library. Is there a way to get them off the iPhone?

I am using a Windows 64 bit premium, the phone is the 3g 16gig, and I cannot retrieve the photos from the photo library. I can retrieve the camera roll. How do I get the photos from the photo library?

I'm sorry I was not clear, I am extremely frustrated with iPhones right now. That is the reason my new phone is an Android!
I have a camera roll folder on the iPhone that has 346 photos that I took with the iPhone. I was able to retrieve those simply by connecting the iPhone to the computer. I have a second folder on the iPhone that is called Photo Library that has 818 photos that I wanted to retrieve from my iPhone. These photos were placed onto the iPhone from a sync, but my computer crashed and I had to format the hard drive. Doing so obviously caused me to loose all of my photos on my computer. The photos on the iPhone in the Photo Library are associated to the old computer folder library so it will not sync to the new computer. I was trying to retrieve those photos, but was not having any luck.
UPDATE! I remembered that I had backed up the computer hard drive to an external hard drive before the crash. I located ALL of the photos on that hard drive that I was trying to retrieve from the iPhone Photo Library.
*NOTE* If anyone has an answer to how to retrieve these photos, please post as my father is also have issues trying to retrieve photos the same way only he did not have his backed up.

  • How to get photos off old iPhone

I just got the new iPhone 4s. Synced it to my iTunes and iPhoto. I downloaded photos to iCloud from my iPhone 4 before I got the new iPhone 4s. Unfortunately, iCloud was not turned on on my iMac. So, the photos did not go to my iPhoto stream. I tried connecting my old iPhone 4 to iPhoto, but now iPhoto doesn't recognize it. How an I get those photos from the elusive and mysterious iCloud? Or off the old iPhone 4? (Yes, I know I should've synced the 4 before getting the 4s. I did the night before, but then took some Christmas party photos at work, and I really don't want to lose them.)

I downloaded the photos to iCloud from my iPhone4 via wi fi while in the ATT store just prior to getting the iPhone 4s. On my iPhone4, the Christmas party photos are on the camera roll and also on the photo stream. On my iPhone 4s, there are no photos in the photo stream. However, the photos that I took at a concert last night did upload to iCloud and are visible in the photo stream on iPhoto. The Christmas party photos are not on the iPhoto photo stream.
So, where in the iCloud are the Christmas party photos? --- I should've just emailed them to myself the old fashioned way.

On a Windows PC the easiest way to get pictures from your iPhone is to just use Windows Explorer.
    1) Plugin your iPhone to your PC
    2) Open “My Computer”
    3) Find your iPhone, it will appear as any other camera would
    4) Open iPhone to find your Photos
    5) Select the pictures you want to copy to your computer and copy/ paste them into the desired location on your PC.

  • How do I get photos OFF the mini iPad?

How do I get my photos OFF my iPad mini so I can print them?...please

The Dropbox app has a very cool auto-upload process that will automatically upload photos from the iPad Camera Roll to Dropbox.
First sign up for a free Dropbox account from your computer.
Then, download the free Dropbox app on your iPad.
Log in to the Dropbox app on the iPad with your new account and click on the Photos icon in the lower left corner of the screen (second one from the left).
Select "Enable Camera Upload" and "Only Wi-Fi." The upload process will begin for all existing photos in the Camera Roll.
From now on, all future photos taken by the iPad will automatically upload to the Dropbox folder. You can then download your photos from Dropbox to your computer by going to http://www.dropbox.com, logging in to your account, and downloading the photos. You can then put the photos on a USB drive or burn to a CD or upload them to a photo processing website.
    Hope this helps!

  • Getting Photos off the iPod

I have ended up with some photos on my iPod through automatic sync that I don't want on the iPod. However I don't know how to get the photos off. Can anyone help me?
Fifth Generation Video iPod 30GB Windows XP

Connect the iPod, in the summary screen click on the "photos" tab.
Remove the check mark from "sync photos". You will then see this message.
Click "yes", then click "apply" (bottom right corner).
However this will remove all the photos on the iPod.
If you just want to delete selected ones, you can remove the photos from the folder with which they are synced.
    This is an option.
Create a new folder and give it a recognizable name (e.g. iPod photos).
Drag (or copy) your photos into this new folder.
Connect your iPod and open iTunes and when the summary page appears, click on the "photos" tab.
Under "Synchronize photos from" choose "Selected albums" and select the new folder you created and click on "OK".
Then you can just add and remove photos to and from that new folder as you wish.

  • How do I permanently delete a photo off the iphone 5 so that it can not be recovered?

I want to permanently delete a photo from an iphone 5 so that it can not be recovered?  How can I do this?

You can perform an erase all contents and settings direct on the iPhone which is a secure erase of everything except iOS and the included apps and not restore your iPhone from the backup. Start as new with no existing data or settings whatsover that is currently available on the iPhone.
If this photo has been deleted from the Camera Roll, when updating the iPhone's backup that deleted photo will not be included.

  • Getting bookmarks off the iPhone

So here is what happened. I sync'ed the iPhone, then my computer crashed and yes, my backup drive failed during restore. So all my bookmarks are stored on my iPhone, but I don't have the iphone.backup file (since the drive crashed). Is there a way to extract the bookmarks directly from the iphone?

I am also having difficulty with podcast bookmarks in IOS 5 on my Ipod Touch 4. It no longer remembers where it was if I play a song and then return to the podcast. And it does not mark the podcasts as listened to. The podcasts return to the beginning.
Is there someplace we can report these bugs to Apple?

  • I need to get photos off my iphone using itunes, PLEASE READ AND HELP

okay, I have pics on my iphone that need off and i can't use my phone, i need to use itunes. how do i do it, ive tried and can't see a remove photos button. it says to deselect a box and hit remove photos, where is that?

If these photos were synced then you need to connect your phone to iTunes, select the phone under devices and then the photos tab. Deselect photos or albums you want to remove.
If these photos were taken on the phone then you need to delete on your phone. Go to your camera roll and you will see an icon in the top right (a square with an arrow), select and then choose the photos and hit delete

  • Can you get photos on the iphone 5 that's were deleted back

I had a nephew just delete pictures from my camera roll need help finding a way I'd there is one to get them back

If you were using Photo Stream and had that turned on prior to deletion, they might have landed there.
Otherwise, unless you had them specifically backed up, they're gone.
