A reset and restore are two different things.
You're restoring the phone as new - so no your pictures won't come back to your phone, if you sign into icloud - maybe your photo stream pics.
You should import your pictures in your camera roll to your computer Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC - Apple Support  then after setting up your phone as new you can sync those pictures back to your phone using iTunes iTunes: Syncing photos - Apple Support
to get pictures back from icloud, you would need to restore back from your icloud backup.

The only way to get it back is a hard reset or let the battery die and then plug in the charger.  The brightness is up and the power stays on while screen is black.
This is the second macbook pro i have owned in the past two weeks.  I am ready to return it for good if this is a chronic issue. Please help if you have had this same issue.

    Try a SMC reset:

    Try a NVRAM/PRAM reset:

If no joy, take it back, and take full advantage of your warranty!

  • How do i get itunes back after new hard drive installed?

I have had a hard drive fail and a new one has been installed. Not I cannot open itunes. I get a message saying " itunes cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of itunes"???
    Anyone know how to fix?

Did you reinstalled iTunes ? It looks like you had a newer version of iTunes with the corresponding database, and now your iTunes seem to be an older version. If you are a little patient, you might easily fix this with iTunes 10.5 which should come out very very soon since iOS 5 has been annonced for tomorrow.

  • HT204053 how can i get pictures back after it has backed up

my husband backed up my i phone 4s and now he lost all my pictures of my kids. how can i find them.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Assuming that the backup that was made, was made before the pictures were deleted, then a full restore of the mobile device should restore all the photos that you had.

  • Trying to upgrade to newest version of iPad software but not enough space on hard drive to backup the iPad. It is saying if I continue all content on iPad will be deleted! Can I get it back after uprade by just synching with itunes?

Trying to upgrade iPad software to newest version. It downloads but stops while backing up and says not enough space on hard drive to back up if i continue all media on iPad will be lostor deleted.  Can I get it back after upgrade by just synching or can I set it to backup to an external drive?  Thanks for any help.  I only use the laptop for itunes now as it has such little space left.

I would recommend deleting contents off your hard-drive to make space (how much is left..you should be having 15% free as a general practice) and backing up the phone prior to upgrading.

  • Is there any way to get your pictures back after updating to maverick?

is there any way to get your pictures back after updating to maverick?

Is Aperture not launching at all? Then update Aperture like Ernie recommended. You'll need version 3.5.1, or 3.4.5 with Mavericks. If you have any Aperture 3 version, you should be able to update for free.
After updating Aperture, make sure you have a backup copy of your Aperture library, before opening it in the new version.  Click the Aperture library, to open Aperture on your library.
Or, is the problem, that Aperture opened on an empty library? Then check the file system on the drive with your Aperture library. It may have the wrong formatting. Then move your Aperture library to a drive formatted MacOS Extended (Journaled). Click the

  • TS4036 I can not find my photos or contacts.  Help how do I get them back after a icloud back-up was done due to needed a new phone..

I cannot find my photos or contacts.  Help how do I get them back after a iclound backup was done due to needed to get a new iphone.  HELP

I believe I had leopard and I was having issues getting errors of system not being supported. I contacted Apple and was advised I needed to upgrade to snow leopard. My laptop is from 2009 and I haven't done anything to it till now. The apple rep also stated I should do a fresh install when putting snow leopard on so my laptop would run faster. Apple rep told me to get a external hard drive to put my info on it so the fresh install would reset everything to like it was brand new. I had someone help me with getting everything on the EHD.. doing the right format and such and then once that was done I put in the CD for snow leopard and hit install. Which brings me to now, with everything but my pictures. I have the EHD plugged in... now what? What do I do? I have looked in the EHD in iphoto and it was all standard images *not my pictures but images of a check mark or an arrow again not actual pictures. I don't see a folder pictures and i looked for images and found nothing. I have Applications, Included Free Designs, Library, System, User Guides and Information and Users, those are my options and non of those have a "pictures"
    I have iPhoto '09 version 8.1.2 & Mac OS X version 10.6.3

  • After a hard reset all user profiles are now accessible by every user

I initially had our office time capsule set up with 3 seperate user accounts ("profiles") via these instructions. Thus each user had a login for the time capsule that would then show them a shared folder that all users could see, and then a personal folder that only those logged into that account could see and access.
While I was out of the office a co-worker was having trouble connecting his new iMac to the time capsule, so he called apple for assistance and they had him do a hard reset. The hard reset saved all the profiles and all information in each folder, but now everyone can access every folder. I'm not completely sure of what steps they took to set it up after the hard reset, but now, no matter which account you are logged in as you see:
    -"Shared"
         -(Shared folder)
    -"Users"
         -(user 1)
         -(user 2)
         -(user 3)
So you have complete access to each users folders. Does anyone know if there is any easier way to set the user profiles back up the way they were originally set up by myself, or do I basically have to re-do the whole process (which includes saving and transfering all folders--which is a long process)?

The security of the TC is designed for home networking.. because anyone who has physical access to the TC can easily access anything.. it is simply convenient perhaps to have user profiles.. but a quick 1 sec soft reset and anybody can gain access to anything.

  • Calender wont open after a Hard Reset

everytime i click on the calender icon the scren blink but nothing else happens!
how can i get the calender back?
    cheers

The hard reset is kind of a "Hail Mary" pass...it works just often enough to be worth a try. The logical conclusion is that the keyboard itself is bad. Try plugging in an external usb keyboard. If that has issues, too the problem is bigger than the keyboard but if the external works you have to start thinking about a replacement keyboard. As laptop repairs go it is one of the easier ones. Keyboards are not expensive. I am assuming you are out of warranty which may not be true. If you are under warranty I have even heard of HP's sending a replacement and instructions.

  • HT201328 Will I loose ios6 after a hard reset to unlock my phone. In other words , will it force me to upgrade to ios7?

Will I loose ios6 after a hard reset on iTunes ? Will it force me to upgrade to ios7?

If you need to restore your iPhone to get past a forgotten screenlock password or to complete an unlock from a cell carrier, then yes, you'll be forced to upgrade to iOS 7. A restore will always download and install the most recent version of iOS your device will support.
    Regards.

  • Can you get pictures back that you deleted off of your iPhone

I would like to know if you can get pictures back if you deleted off of your phone

Sure ... if they are backed up somewhere.
If they were on your Camera Roll, they would be preserved in your latest iTunes (or iCloud) bsckup of your iPhone.
If they were on your computer, they would still be there.

  • Unicode language disappeared after a hard reset on...

recently i did a hard reset on my n8 belle. After a hard reset i can't able to see unicode language such as Bengali language anymore. Before hard reset i can see unicode language on my n8 default web browser. Now what can i do ? Plz help me
    Nokia N8 Official Belle Refresh

The Symbian OS is from the ground up based on Unicode.
A particular phone might not have Unicode fonts with all languages as part of the firmware, but they might be installed afterwards.
A hard reset might (and probably does) remove fonts from phone memory that are not in ROM (read-only memory).
A firmware update might restore them, if the fonts are part of the firmware update.
Otherwise, a firmware update might also cause languages to be lost, if the firmware has been updated to a different language variant after the phone left the factory:
