Getting pop up 'Unable to open resource files'

Hi all,
I am having one PXI system which consistes of following hardware.
1. 1042 Chasis
2. PXI8106 controller
3. 7831R FPGA
4. 6509
5. 6221
Out of nowhere, I am now getting a dialog box mentioning 'Unable to open resource files' after trying to open the executable file.
Can any one please guide me on this front.

when i rename or remove the directory ..\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\resource i got the same error message as you. check this directory. i attached a list of contents of my LV 7.1 resource directory. the contents of your own directory may differ.

Hi
I have had Lab-view 7.1 running on my PC for months. On loading up this morning I got the pop-up "unable to open resourse files".
Presumably this is a fatal error and I need to uninstall then reinstall. The rest of my PC applications are working fine. Has anybody else had this problem?

"unable to open resource files"

I'm trying to execute a LabVIEW executable application from a simple C program, but I keep getting the error message "unable to open resource files". The Labview application runs fine if I just execute it from the command line, but from a C-program it doesn't. I've tried the execl() function, and I've also tried to open the labview runtime dynamic libraries in the C program using uselib(), but without success. Does anyone have any ideas on this? I'm running Linux kernel 2.4. Thanks in advance!

You might have success using "strace" to find out what files labview is looking for and not finding.
My best guess is that LabVIEW cannot find the resources in the executable itself. The way that it works normally, is that when you run the LabVIEW executable, it actually tries to open the executable itself (ARG[0]) to pull out resources. If the exec system call is somehow giving a bogus ARG[0] (either pointing to the wrong executable, or a bogus path), then I could see this failing.

Error labview 8.2.1 "unable to open resource files"

LabVIEW 8.2.1, on Vista 32 bit, was working. Now the student that gets "unable to open resource files" when he tries to launch LabVIEW 8.2.1.
He tried repair under Add Remove Programs, no change.
Student then uninstalled LabVIEW so he could reinstall from scratch.
Before installing he noticed a LabVIEW icon on his desktop.
He had accidentally move the LabVIEW executable to the desktop from the LabVIEW folder, thus causing the "unable to open resource files" error.
The question is why did the repair not catch that the LabVIEW executable was missing in the LabVIEW folder and restore it?

ZAV 10 - Unable to open parameter file error

When trying to launch a ZAV 10 app, C-Cure Administration Console, users are getting an error "**Unable to open parameter file cc800cl.pf, errno 2. (1247)". This only appears to be happening on Win7. This did work when first created, but after a few weeks the error has started to pop-up.

If this was working and is not now, and you are certain nothing has changed on the client systems (or at least nothing that could interfere here), then this might be an issue with the license used when building the application. What is the expiry date of your license and was it applied prior to building this exe?
If this isn't expiring please open an SR for this issue, if you can. This is the information the support team will require:
- Copies of any warnings or errors around the time the issue occurs (or a copy of the application and system event logs, in .evtx format)
- A copy of the exe you are using
- If you can build the exe again as a diagnostic-mode executable and provide the diagnostics generated when attempting to run, that can be very helpful
- It may also be required that you send installation media for the application and your build process, so the team can attempt to reproduce the issue in-house
- You will also typically be asked for the .xappl file and associated Files folder, if reproducing in-house is required. This will become absolutely necessary if a ticket needs to be filed with Spoon, so sending it ahead of time is a good idea

"Unable to open project file" message in final cut express 3.5.1

I have (well had now) a project with 3 video clips and multiple .psd files as stills. When the project contains just the 3 video clips and a couple of transitions I can save the project and quit Final Cut Express and relaunch FCE and when I try to re-open the same project, it opens just fine, without any problems and just the way I expected it to be. After editing the same project for a couple of hours and saving along the way (this has happened twice now and I don't think the length of time of editing matters) and adding multiple still images to the 3 video clips (this part is new in my working with FCE); I save and quit. When I return to open the same project I get the message "Unable to open project file" and click the OK button, which is my only option and I am given a new blank project. So where did my work go???

I read the link. I am working off my internal drive.
I re-named the Capture Scratch folder, and any Render folders and then launched FCE. I was presented with a window that reads "To preserve the integrity of the data used by Final Cut Express HD, it is necessary to ensure the existance of the following path(s)" The path in the box below is where my project file and support files are. My 3 options are Quit, Check again and Reset Scratch disk. I choose the Reset Scratch Disk button and it took me to the Scratch Disk window and I Set/Created a new folder and clicked Choose and then OK back at the Scratch Disk window and Continue at the initial window... the Reset Scratch disk button is now labeled Continue. I am given a new Untitled Project work space. I tried to open my project file and once again with the message "Unable to open project file".
Where did I go wrong???

Type tool is giving me "can't open resource file"

Hi everyone, this is frustrating.
Everytime I choose the TYPE tool and click anywhere in the document i get a message "can't open resource file".
Google search did not bring anything.
Please, if anyone knows how to fix it.

Well, it seems to be fine now. I down loaded updates to bridge and CS4 (and various other applications). This seems to have negated the issue.
Just to answer; yes it was happening with all file types. No I don't believe it ever worked before as I would always just open files in camera raw.

I installed and installed the following software successfully on Windows XP

Tuxedo 10gR3 for MS Windows Server 2003 w/MS VS 2005 (32-bit x86, AMD64/EM64T x64) 32-bit
i am at the point of installing the Application Server. Domain created sucessfully but i got boot errors as shown below.
I searched for the TUXCONFIG file but could not find it in the tuxedo installation folder.
I read that i have to create the TUXCONFIG,if missing, using tmloadcf.exe and the ubbconfig file, but the only UBBCONFIG file is located in "\samples\atmi\rpcsimp\" folder.
How do i create the TUXCONFIG file?
Did i miss something with the installation? What location should this file exist after your tuxedo installation?

The TUXCONFIG file normally is created automatically when you create your domain.
In this case I think you ran into trouble because the path of installation is too long!
Note the error in your log:

Your path is 69 chars long!
I would suggest that you re-try the configuration with a shorter tuxedo and PS_HOME: perhaps in the root directory (c:\PSHOME)
In the past I've also noticed that installations have problems with paths that have spaces - ex: 'Documents and settings' , so I would avoid that as well.

"Cannot open resource file" message on Save in InDesign CS3

Hi there,
I'm running InDesign CS3 5.0.3 on a 2.4GHZ MacBook Pro with 2GB RAM and OS X 10.4.11.
I'm finding that when I have a document open and hit Save, I get the message "Cannot open resource file". If I quit and reopen my changes do appear to have been saved.
Googling around reveals little on this particular message, and I've tried what I've found (closing Scripting/Info windows) but it's still happening. There's also a suggestion of deleting the InDesign Saved Data file, but I can't find where that is. Is it a pre-CS3 thing?
Any ideas?

Error unable to open script file

I have been using DW8 since it came out. I am running Windows 7. Everything was working fine until I had hard drive failure. Replaced hard drive reinstalled Windows and DW8. Now when I try to insert an image I get the message "unable to open java script file c:\program files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\configuration\objects\common\AccessibleImage.js (error 2)".
I have done the usual--rename config file--reinstall DW8--clean register and reinstall--run as admin.--run in compatibility with XP SP2, etc. but nothing works.
Help would be invaluable to me.

Having modified the structapps.fm in FM10, I am getting the following error within a dialog when attempting to use the same file in FM8:

Is FM not backward compatible ? OR do I need to reread the file in FM8

The file should be saved in the FM version that you're using it in. You can't use any newer FM version file in any older version of FM, e.g. FM8 can't open any FM10 files (except for the MIF formats).

iam trying to do a mailboximport-request from a QNAP-nas that is member of the domain.
When doing the mailboximport i am getting the following error : unable to open pst file error details access to the path is denied.
Which permissions do i need to have on the folder/file on the qnap to import the .pst-file?

Move your PST files to a windows server. Exchange Trusted Subsystem is a universal group in Active Directory.
