Getting "program used to creat ethis object is AcroExch"

Getting "program used to creat ethis object is AcroExch. That program is not installed on your computer." when trying to open PDFs embedded in Word.  Some work and some give me the error message above.
I am on Acrobat Standard 10.1.7 and Word 2007, on Windows 7.
Anyone have any fixes that might resolve this issue?

There is a comment in http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/119912-adobe-10-update-acroexch-error-now-occurring that provides the following information:
Disabling Protected Mode in Adobe Reader X
1. Open Adobe Reader X.
2.From Edit menu select Preferences, Preferences dialog box appears.
3.Select General category on the list, uncheck or remove tick mark for “Enable protected mode at startup”
Adobe Reader’s Protected Mode will be turned off.
Though it is for Reader, I assume it should do the job for Acrobat also.

    This is happening on Adobe reader 9, 10 & 11 with MS Word 2010 & 2013.  I've uninstalled, cleaned & reinstalled Reader 9, 10 & 11, as well as Acrobat 10 Pro & 11 Standard.  Removed "Protected mode at startup, and changed

  • The program used to create this object is AcroExch. That program is either not installed on your com

    Need help fixing this. I have multiple users who use to be able to embed a pdf in word, but now are unable to. They receive the following:
    The program used to create this object is AcroExch. That program is either not installed on your computer or it is not responding. To edit this object, install AcroExch or ensure that any dialog boxes in AcroExch are closed.

    i found this happened too on my user.
    i'm using :
    1. Microsoft Office 2010 x64
    2. Adobe Acrobat 10 Standard
    I read some articles said that you need to disable the "Enable protection bla bla bla" which is disabled on AA 10 Standard by default.
    At last it's solved after i uninstall the x64 Office 2010 and install the x86 Office 2010.
    I don't know why but its works.
    Hope its works to you too.

    I have just installed acrobat Pro XI . when inserting an existing adove file as an object this happens. any ideas?

    OLE Embedded Objects seem to have problems with PDF files.   I am not sure if it's OLE or if it's the OLE server (Acrobat/Reader) installed on the machine in this case.  Does this file work on another machine with Acrobat/Reader installed.

  • Program used to create object is Package

    when I attempt to copy and paste a shorctut to a file on a network drive into an MS-word 2007 File i get an error message that states 'the program used to create this object is Package.  That Program is not installed on yourt computer.  To Edit
    this object, you must install a program that can open that object.
    I can paste the shortcut without error if I reload the original Office 2007 without patches and updates.
    What do I need to load to or change to allow this copy/paste operatiion to function with the latest patches and updates?

    1. Under normal circumstances you should not be embedding pictures in a Word document as OLE objects. There are circumstances where this might be necessary, but in general, no. Pictures should be inserted using Insert-Picture-From file, not Insert-Object-from
    file.
    2. The major reason for using OLE for pictures is better resolution (the picture looks better). But when you use OLE you must have a program that acts as an OLE Server. The OLE Server essentially opens the picture and processes it (imagine opening a picture
    in a graphics program - that's what has to happen). So you have to make sure that everyone who's going to work with and print this document has a program capable of providing this service.
    It appears that your machine has a program that can handle this - up to a certain point. No telling what this might be, especially since you don't provide any information about which version of Office is installed on the machine.
    3. Word is not designed to support graphics editing - it's a Word processor. Some early versions of Word provided a very rudimentary, internal graphics editor; one more recent version of Office provided an editor. All of these have been discontinued
    in Office 2007. This is not something you can rely on for automation or for working with documents, generally. Graphics editing should be done in a program dedicated to that purpose.

  • What programs used to create this site??

    Hey there, I stumbled across this flash site and was
    wondering if any of you had any ideas which programs would have
    been used to create this site. Obviously flash for one, but would
    they be importing rendered clips from say 3ds max? or perhaps swift
    3d? I am wondering with things like the mail box, water etc. Or is
    flash capable to achieve all of this.. Very impressive site none
    the less..
    http://www.saizenmedia.com

    Hey great link. Man they are good. They have definitely used
    some 3D programme like 3D Max or blender or even Maya maybe. I
    don't think that Swift 3D has been used. The graphics are way too
    complex. Also I think it is a combination of 3D software, vector
    and image editing software.

  • Getting properties used to create existing connection

    I am a bit stumped trying to figure out how to interrogate an existing java.sql.Connection to see what properties were used to create the connection. If a properties file with name/value pair was used to create the connection I need to find out what value was used for a given property. So far I have been able to get a DriverPropertyInfo array from the driveManager but this only lists the default values, not those I actually used.
    We are having performance issues and I need to analyze connections to verify they were created using the correct properties.
    Thanks in advance for any assisstance.

    Have you looked at the getMetaData() method?
    It has a good bit of information, and maybe it will have whatever property you are looking for.

  • What program uses to create transparent images?

    I use paint shop pro 5, selecting the zone of image that the program must show,
    and saving it as alfa channel.
    But in Samsung E800 it does not funcion, it shows images in a rectangle.
    Perhaps could be because paint shop pro is too old?
    what program use you?

    Are you sure the device supports transparant PNG?
    Try putting the image in an html page with a coloured background and view it in a non IE browser (mozilla, firefox for example). If you have transparancy, the PNG is ok, and you know that it's the device.

  • How to get an mbean to create an object to be used in invoke

    The topic says it all. I am confused.
    Either way, this is what i am trying to do.
    I have two classes i have registered as mbeans and can access from a remote jvm. What i need to do is to invoke a method in one of the mbeans which takes an object of my second mbean as an argument.
    so class A is registered as MBean A and has method createB which takes class B registered as MBean B as an argument.
    A valid usage would be A.createB(B);
    eg:
    server.invoke(objectName_A, "createB", new Object[] {objB}, new String[] {"com.x.y.z.B"});
    I am trying to create objB using the MBean B. Is this possible?
    Please do let me know.

    I've now made a program, it's about to be shipped to the customer and all's finished and well.
    Now all I have to do is to archive the sourcecode for future reference.
    I am however worried that I won't get hold of all the relevant vi's that I've used. Some have come from NI's examples while others from the OpenG package etc. These vi's then use other sub vi's, and are located in the NI directory structure (under Program Files).
    Is there an automated way of collecting all subcode and putting it in one folder, so that I can be sure I will always have it?
    Thx
    Hi,
    VI Package Manager 1.1 Professional solves the problem for the OpenG packages and other libraries installed using VIPM (VI Package Manager).  VIPM can scan your project and identify which OpenG packages your project is using and save the packages into a VIPC (VI Package Configuration) file, which you can save in your project folder.  When you are ready to start working on your project again, you can apply your VIPC file to have VIPM install all the required packages.
    I have written a blog post, here, about the new configuration management capabilities in VIPM 1.1 Professional.  I hope this helps.

  • Can it be possible that all flv files are slightly different depening on the software program used to create them

    Hi All,
    Can flv files be different and kinda awkward, if their produced in older or newer version of flash video encoder? Or anyoher software programs that can convert to the flv format?
    If so, have any of you folks come across an easy way to fix?
    Kind Regards,
    Boxing Boom

    Yes, I'm not sure if it's still common, but for a while different programs didn't add certain meta data to the encoded file, so you wouldn't know how long it was etc... The way to fix has mostly always been FLVMDI:  http://www.buraks.com/flvmdi/

  • Function Module or Program to get where used list

    Hi,
    I´ve been searching for Function Module or program to get where used list for an object.
    I try using the FM 'RS_TOOL_ACCESS' with parameters operation = 'CROSSREF', objectname = 'ZMYPROG', object_type = 'PROG'
    and in effect i get the list of object where the program is used, but the list is showed in standard screen.
    is there a function or program to obtain the used list for an object but in an internal table?
    I'm using version 4.6B.
    I checked the function module RS_INFOSYSTEM_CREATE_REQUEST, but i didn't obtain any result, is there a funcion or combination or FM to get the used list?

  • Good programming practices:   creating Iterator objects

    Hi,
    This is a question about Good programming practices for creating Iterator objects of ArrayList objects. The following line of code works fine in my program (as ridiculous as it may sound):
            Iterator cheesesIterator = cheeses.iterator();but I was wondering whether Java is automatically inserting the <Type> and new code to make:
            Iterator<String> cheesesIterator = new cheeses.iterator();and therefore whether it is good practice to use these everytime? Thank you. ("full" code shown below:)
    import java.util.ArrayList;
    import java.util.Iterator;
    public class DemonstrateIterator
        private ArrayList<String>  cheeses;
         * constructor:
        public DemonstrateIterator()

    iterator() is just a method that returns an iterator. It constructs an instance of a private or nested class that implements iterator, and returns a reference to it.
    As for the <T>, when you declare List<String>, that parameterizes that list with type String. The iterator() method returns Iterator<T>. You can look at the source code for yourself. It's in src.zip that came with your JDK download.
    Separate from that is your declaration of that variable as type Iterator, rather than Iterator<String>. Regardless of what you declare on the LHS, the iterator() method returns Iterator<T>. Your bare Iterator is essentially Iterator<Object> or Iterator<? extends Object> (not sure which, or what the difference is), which is assignment compatible with Iterator<T>. If you had declared it Iterator<String>, you wouldn't have to cast after calling next().

  • Bank Account Program (using netbeans)

    Can someone please help me with this program I'm trying to create, I'm new to java and am a bit stuck ..
    I created a BankAccount class and want the following capabilities. The bank will be charging a fee for every deposit and withdrawal. Supply a mechanism for setting the fee and modify the deposit and withdraw methods so that the fee is levied. Test your resulting class and check that the fee is computed correctly.
    The bank will allow a fixed number of free transactions (7 deposits or withdrawals) every month, and charge for transactions exceeding the free allotment. The charge is not levied immediately but at the end of the month.
    Supply a new method deductMonthlyCharge to the BankAccount class that deducts the monthly charge and resets the transaction count.
    Produce a test program that verifies that the fees are calculated correctly over several months.
    Enable user input for each program. The input will be used to create the objects.
    Program continues to loop until user chooses to Quit.
    My current code:
    //Main
    package bank;
    import java.util.Scanner;

  • How to create 3D objects in PSE8?

    Hi,
    Version 7 included a 3D Transform Filter in the "Render" group under Filters that could be used to create 3D objects.  I can't figure out how to accomplish this in version 8 of PSE.  Has this feature been removed or just moved to somewhere else?
    Thanks in advance!

    I purchased PSE8 online as an electronic download so I do not have a CD, just the installation files.
    Hmmm.  My daughter needs to create 3D objects in PSE as part of her homework assignment.  Are older versions available from Adobe for people who have purchased the current version?

    Hello All,
    We have upgraded my portal,web as and developer stuido from SP14 to SP12. All the web dynrpo applications on the portal pages have stopped functioning. I cannot click on any of the web dynpro application controls nor do these applications show
    images in caption fields. All the other portal components are working fine. The web dynpro application too work fine when I try to test them off the Web AS.Please advice.
    The error message i get is
    Failed to create deployable object resources/sap.com since it is not a webdynpro object
    Thanks

    HI Vijay,
    I guess when you upgraded your WAS server from SP14 to SP12 then you need to rebuild your all applications in NWDS SP12 and then deploy once again.
    Error says that those applications are not deployed on the server at this time. So, it means, when you have upgraded server all deployed applications were deleted.
    Just check in deploy service of visual administrator.
