Getting QT Movie Into iPad

I have made a short QT movie of 34 seconds duration. It was saved to my Desktop.
I then dragged the movie into the Movies section of iTunes and indeed it now
shows up in iTunes so the move into iTunes worked. Then with the following
dialog box
I pressed the Sync button at the lower right of the iTunes pane and I get this
which is fine since there are 8 items in the Movie section and I know that 7 of them are old purchases
from iTunes on another previous iMac so I can see this warning applying to them but the 8th movie
is the short QT movie that I wanted transferred over to my iPad. I assumed that, following the sync,
the QT item would wind up in the Video icon on the iPad but when I checked, there are no videos in
there. Help !
Thanks
John

OK let's forget the specifics and keep it really simple. I would appreciate it if someone could let me know whether it is possible to get a QT movie into the iPad from the iMac.
Cheers
John

I want to take movies from my computer (Itunes) and have on my Ipad while I am travelling from home. How do I?

Connect the iPad to the Computer and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Movies Tab on the right.
Click on all of the Movies and Videos that you want to sync.
Click on the Sync Movies Heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes

  • How do I get iPhone movies into iTunes' movie menu in the sidebar?

I've tried to get iPhone movies into iTunes, but they turn into .MOV files and won't transfer!
I've tried exporting iPhone movie files from iPhoto into iTunes shared movie files (Movies folder), but
they don't appear in the iTunes movie list!  They don't appear in the iPad video app either!
    What's the story!  .  .  .  . thanks f

Allan,  I tried all you suggested.  I ended up with 'IMG' files in the source list, and they won't play.  When double clicked they try to open for a blink, then back to the list.
When exporting the iPhone video from iPhoto, what did you fill out in the dialogue box.  All I saw were selections referring to photos (jpeg, medium, etc.) I didn't see choices for video!  Wouldn't it be just as easy to just drag
the video from the iPhoto thumbnails to the desktop?  Am I missing something here?
    Thanks again

  • How do I get DVD movies into iTunes (and thus my iPad)?

I have a pc with Windows XP. How do I import my DVD movies into iTunes? Do I need to buy additional software? Or is my best bet joining netflix?
    Thanks!

you can copy them for your own use.
Copying is not the issue. Breaking the encryption is.
But it's kind of a catch 22 in that you cannot copy a DVD unless you break the encryption.
    in Europe it is not
    Europe is not one country.
Most European countries have their own equivalent of the DMCA and it is illegal to break the encryption in some of these countries.

  • IMPORT CAMERA MOVIES INTO IPAD

Hello... I am trying to import movie(s) filmed on my Sony Cyber-shot HX9V into my iPad 3 using the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit using my camera’s USB cable. (Importing using the memory card connector only imports photos from what I have experienced).  Once connected from camera to ipad I receive a message: "Accessory Unavailable: The attached accessory uses too much power".  I have plugged and unplugged numerous times to NO success.  Question: does anyone have know how to resolve this problem?  Must I use some "app" such as iMovie for the iPad...or?? an import via the app?
I am able to successfully export movies into my iMac via card reader and open up in iMovie on my iMac.

Just checked the Camera specs and it seems you have a bunch of options when it comes to movie recording.
Can you post what format the videos are you recorded?
This is from the Apple iPad3 tech specs:
Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 1080p, 30 frames per second, High Profile level 4.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format
Keep an eye of the appendix .m4v,.mov, .mp4 and compare it with your camera. Are your recordings also stored in the DCIM folder (i guess yes)?

  • How do i get flash movies on iPad

Is there a way to get flash movies to play on my iPad whilst in safari?

Flash is not supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/
Depending on what sites you are trying to access, you might find that some of them (probably more so if they are news sites) have their own apps in the App Store which might let you get some of the content that you want (and there is the built-in YouTube app). Also there are browsers such as Skyfire which 'work' on some sites - but judging by the reviews not all sites.

  • Cant get my movies into itunes from my cpu

i dont now how to get movies i have into itunes!!!!
ive tried dragging them over but still wont work...
tried converting the movies into mp4 still wont work..

Try opening one of your "converted to mp4" movies in Quicktime. If it won't open in Quicktime ... then iTunes won't add it because the file is incorrectly converted and/or corrupt.

  • Can't get a movie onto iPad

I bought a movie on my computer and can't get it to my iPad(1st gen).  None of my movies will transfer from my computer to my iPad(no error - they just won't sync), so I had to open each movie in iTunes on the iPad in order to download it.  However, this movie was removed iTunes and is now being re-released in May, and when I click download, iTunes tries to make me pre-order it, and says I will be billed when it is released.  I have already purchased the movie so I am not going to pay again, but I would also like to get it on my iPad before May.

It could be that the original is no longer available on iTunes due to the re-release, hence the reason why it is stil important to keep a backup of your files where possible.

  • How to get iPhoto movies into iMovie?

Yosemite was recently installed on my 2012 Macbook Pro. Previously, whenever I opened iMovie it would automatically thumbnail any new movies in my iPhoto library and I’d be able to use them immediately in iMovie. Since the Yosemite install, there’s a new version of iMovie and I can’t figure out how to get the movies in iPhoto into iMovie. So confused. Help!

within iMovie on the left side go to iPhoto Library, then movie the mouse slightly to the right where you see choices for events...faces...places....try selecting events and it should bring up what you may be looking for.  From this point you can select photos or videos to move into your project.  hope this helps

  • Having trouble getting Quicktime movies into iMovie

Hi everyone. I'm on an iBook with OS 10.3.9 and I'm working with Quicktime 7.0.3 and iMovie 4.0.1. I've been making a student film, and I've been trying to drag or import Quicktime movies into iMovie to edit and use. However, when I attempt to do so, it doesn't work and I get a message that reads, "Can't open file (insert file name here); skipping it and continuing." Is there any way to fix this problem without having to get Quicktime Pro? Thanks.
    Brian

Thanks for your reply. I'm pretty sure the files are indeed mpegs. I tried out the program you sent, and it worked for the first clip when I converted it into DV. For some reason, when I tried importing the next two mpeg movies, I got a message that said, "The DV File (insert name here) is the wrong video standard and cannot be imported into this project." Any reason why that should be happening? Thank you very much for your first reply.

  • How to get FCE movie into iDVD?

    Hi Folks!
I have a movie that I created in FCE and would like to burn it onto a DVD. When I open iDVD, I don't seem to have access to the movie file that I created. iDVD looks for the file inside iLife. Is there a way I can put the FCE movie into iLife, or is there another way I can burn a DVD from my FCE file?
    Thanks very much!
    Vixter

iDVD looks in your /Movies folder (not 'inside iLife' as you mentioned).
When you export your movie from FCE, save it to your /Movies folder. Then it will show up in the iDVD Media pane, under the Movies folder.
You can also import your movie into iDVD by doing *File > Import > Video* or by dragging the movie (from wherever it is saved on your hard drive) onto the _iDVD main window_ or a _drop zone_ in an iDVD template. Don't try to drop it into the iDVD Media pane - that won't work.

  • Getting iTunes Movies into different iTunes library and Computer?

My older daughter has grown up and moved out. We have a bunch of movies that over the years we bought in iTunes together under my account. She would like to transfer/copy some of them into her own iTunes library / computer so she can load them on her own iPad and iPhone to enjoy. Is there a way to do this?

Authorize her computer to your account and just copy over the files.

  • Bought visual hub, still can't get my movies into imovie

Hi I posted in a different post about problems getting movies I made on my sony cybershot into imovie to edit. I was told if I bought visual hub that I could convert into another format that would be accepted in imovie. I've bought visual hub and tried several of the different formats that I was told should be accepted by imovie, but none of this is working. I can't figure out what is wrong here.

I'll be more blunt than Winston, did you try DV (in PAL or NTSC with anamorphic flag to match content)? This is "the Standard" for editing.
