I don't think you can. Since they use different type of format for the playlist files. Just make a new one with the programs that came with ur zen.

  • How would I get information from Windows Media Player to determine when a file is finished playing?

I am creating a program to for Windows Media Player. This program will use external buttons connected to a PCI card to read when a user presses a particular button. I need the program to wait until the video is complete before doing anything else. Is there any way to read this information with a property node?
    Help will be much appreciated.

Attached is a very simply example (LV 8.2) of using that event.

  • How can I consolidate my itunes music with Windows Media Player?

How can I consolidate my itunes music with Windows Media Player?

Ah, did you move your media files by hand? Often doing so will have broken the links from iTunes to them.
The "missing file" error happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parent folders, or the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to Get Info, then click No when asked to try to locate the track. (Due to a bug in iTunes 12 you currently have to say No twice!) Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, a folder renamed, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions. If the difference between the two paths is an additional Music folder in one path then this is a layout issue. I can explain further if that is the case.
In some cases iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps with Get Info but this time click Locate and browse to the lost track. It may then offer to attempt to automatically fix other broken links.
If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed the files then the chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies will make it hard to restore the media to the precise path that iTunes is expecting. In such cases, as long as the missing files can be found somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works.

  • IPOD NANO compatible with Windows Media Player????

  • Windows Media Player on Safari 3.0.4 on Vista

When I try to access Windows Media player on a site that has video clips in that format using Safari under Vista, I get a message saying that "Windows Media Player could not be found". Of course, the player works under IE7.
Any suggestions on how to make Safari recognize WMP?

Surprisingly, Windows Media Player doesn't seem to offer a plug-in for Firefox (which I believe is the same plug-in architecture used by Safari).
Some enterprising developers have created this though:

    Give that a try.

  • Windows Media Player suddenly not working- using wrong bit..?

This is the error msg I get when trying to start windows media player:
"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."
I have not changed anything, it looks like my computer tried to do a quicktime update however when I when to most recent updates I did not see that wmp had been updated.. I use 64 bit on my computer, but i believe I was told that I can switch between 32
and 64 bit. How do I fix this problem as I cannot use wmp for anything right now? Thanks.

    Hi,
Firstly, if the issue did not occur before, please try to use the system restore to return to the point which the problem did not appear.
You may run Windows Media Player settings troubleshooter and then test.
Open the Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Media-Player-Settings-troubleshooter
If the issue persists, reinstall Windows Media Center via Turn Windows features on or off
    a. Open Control Panel/Programs and Features.
    b. Click "Turn Windows features on or off" in the left pane.
    c. Expand "Media Features", uncheck "Windows Media Player". Click "Yes" to continue, and click OK to quit. Then Restart.
Sometimes, this error message appears because a installation file is corrupted. You can re-download or re-copy the setup file (Wmplayer.exe) for a test.
If the issue persists, I would like to suggest you use Event Viewer to check the related logs.
What information appears in event logs (Event Viewer)?
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/What-information-appears-in-event-logs-Event-Viewer
    Hope it helps.

  • Cannot disable e65 and windows media player sync

    Hi
I have a Nokia E65 and i am using Nokia PC suite to sync it.
every time the phone connects i get a message from the windows media player that the phone memory is nearly full...
Any idea how I can disable the sync between media player and the mobile? i have tried doing it through the media player, but everytime i remove the phone from the devices list in media player, it comes back again.
    thanks

Windows Media Player is set to automatically sync with any new player it detects. To switch it off, connect the phone (in Media Player mode); when it starts syncing cancel the sync; then go to:
'Sync' tab -> Down arrow (righ click) for more options menu -> Nokia E65 (or whatever the name of your phone) -> Advanced Options
Uncheck the 'Start sync when device connects' and you're good to go. This option can also be found under:
Options -> Devices -> select Nokia E65 (or whatever the name) -> Properties button
    Hope this helps!
    Ericsson T10i -> Nokia 7110 -> Siemens C45, C55, M55, M65 -> Nokia 6131, N73, N82 -> HTC Wildfire, Desire HD -> Nokia Lumia 800 -> HTC Desire X -> Lumia 820 -> Sony Xperia SP -> Lumia 925 + Sennheiser CX 500

  • Title names when playing a DVD in Windows Media Player

I've created a DVD using DVDSP. About 30 videos all broken down by subject and given a good title. About 5 sections, 6-8 videos per section - a lot of authoring and all the tracks have titles.
My client loves the menu setup but is complaining that when the DVD gets put into a PC, Windows Media Player launches and there's a bar on the right that just says "Title 1" "Title 2", etc....
Of course on a commercially available DVD, the chapter titles show up correctly.
I've tried to explain that my understanding is that WMP queries an internet database for this information and there's no way for my DVDs to get cataloged in this database.
Now they claim they've found a production company that can fix their problem and they're asking for the raw video files. I think they're going to see the same results.
So... Am I wrong? Is there a way for me to author these DVDs so the chapter titles can be given custom names that show up correctly in windows media player?

I did NOT know that. So in order to use that stupid player for DVDs you must be online? That's absurd but about what I'd expect from Microsoft. Thanks for including the links to the online database, that wil help others who face this same issue.
As for your competition, be professional, sell them the files and wish them good luck. But be sure you are adequately compensated for the work you have done up to this point and for the services you wil provide the other guys such as dubbing or copying the raw media files. Do not forward any work you have performed without being compensated and be sure they understand they may not use your menu designs or concepts without paying for them.

  • Converting video on imovie hd to play on a PC with windows media player

Hi, i have recently transfered video from a mini dv camcorder to imovie hd on my imac/ macbook which i have done successfully, i now have to convert it to a DVD or CD Rom which has to be played on my bosses PC which has windows media player installed on it, at present it is saying file not supported, how do i go about doing this? in the easiest possible way......Thanks

In iMovie, Share > Media Browser.
Open iDVD, clcik Movies in the Media pane and select the iMovie you made then burn that.
This will be a standard DVD which can be used on any DVD player or DVD application.
Windows Media Player doesn't play DVDs as standard as it needs to have a decoder installed.
See this -> Playing DVDs in Windows Media Player
If he has a DVD drive on his computer, it should have come with a DVD player application.

  • How to get rid of duplicate files in Windows Media Player 11, I am seeking an answer if at all possible.

I don't know if this is the appropriate forum to ask this question....if it is not please guide me to the correct support forum. I am just trying to find out if there is an easier way of getting rid of duplicate files in my Windows Media Player 11.
Also how do I prevent my Media player from obtaining all these duplicate files from other libraries.  I have iTunes installed and my home network has four other computers belonging in the home group that have all their own respective music libraries.
I guess I was naïve but I thought that when Windows Media Player is out searching other libraries it would know not to take duplicates of songs that it has already.  Enough said .....if anyone out there can help me that would be great.  I have in
the past spent many hours manually deleting songs from my music files and it really got old.

  • Creative Player Connection problems? Get rid of windows Media Player

I noticed that a lot of people here are having difficulty gettings their computers to recognize the player.
A lot of people describe that when they plug in their players the player will show up as properly installed in the device manager and windows will recognize it, but it won't show up in Creative media source or any other mp3 player management software.
Also the install programs for firmware won't detect your creative player as well.
The trick is to get rid of any and all traces of windows media player .
Delete the windows media player. Delete the windows media player format in Add/Remove programs in your control panel. Make sure the checkbox the says "show updates" is checked as well in your Add/remove programs window, otherwise windows media player might not show up in your list of programs to remove.
Then once you have windows media player totally removed, reinstall windows media player 0.
Then reinstall the latest versions of your Creative software, drivers, firmware, and plug-ins.
It worked for me and it worked for a lot of other of people.
I had a Zen Xtra that I could not add music to, or remove music from, for a couple weeks until I figured it out. I couldn't even install the firmware either until I got rid of Windows Media Player .
Windows Media Player = Useless Creative Mp3 player.

    I do what I can....
