Getting rid of "Available Downloads"

I bought a season pass, downloaded, but then lost a few episodes of mine and Apple replaced them no problem. However, I lost only 4 episodes of my two shows but the man at Apple authorized for me to redownload ALL the episodes from the two seasons.
BUT I don't want to redownload them to get them off my Download list. I keep right clicking then going to "Delete" but everytime I launch iTunes there they are again. I mainly don't want to redownload all the episodes because my ISP has a cap on data and I'm a regular netflix user so I'd drain my quota for nothing. The second reason is: why?
So can anybody help me out?

Yes I did read it. Clearly they want a happy customer who SURELY wants to redownload them all.
The redownload process isn't any different than the 1st download, is what I meant. If folks could just right-click delete stuff you KNOW there will be misclicks and much grief.
But I've seen posts like yours before, only wanting a certain few regrants but getting them all. For all I know if it was a season pass, they may have to regrant the entire season pass. Or perhaps the apple tech doesn't really read things. Who knows.

Firefox 20 changed from the old Download Manager to a new Download Panel. You can find a complete write-up here: [[Find and manage downloaded files]].
I suggest keeping that arrow around since it provides handy notifications. You can use the Customize feature to drag it down to the add-on bar where it won't take up as much space. To start customizing:
    * right-click a blank area of the tab bar > Customize
    * tap the Alt key > View menu > Toolbars > Customize
If you really don't need it, just drag it to the Customize dialog. You can always come back for it later if you like.

    Hello, lee19760_0.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I would delete the media that is giving you an issue and download it again by accessing your previous purchase.  The articles below will walk you through that process.

  • How can I get rid of speed download without the uninstaller?

Having trouble downloading, and reading that speed download could be the problem, I trashed it. The trouble is, I trashed the uninstaller along with everything else. Is there anyway to get rid of speed download? Safari quits when I try to download something, like a widget.

  • Can't get rid of Realplayer download app

I downloaded the RealPlayer download app and then decided it was annoying and wanted to get rid of it. I dragged it to the trash but it keeps coming back. I searched around and found it in the RealNetworks folder in the library and deleted it from there but still it came back. I even tried using a digital shredder to get rid of it but still it came back. I'm thinking there's an important file somewhere that I should delete to get rid of it altogether but I can't figure out where to find it. I'm tempted to delete/uninstall everything that has to do with Realplayer altogether but that seems a bit drastic. Any ideas?

The downloader.app should reside in /Library/Application Support/RealNetworks/. If that's the one you deleted, then the only other possibility is that there's a login item in Accounts. AFAICT, there aren't any other components scattered about.

  • Getting rid of a "download" icon appearing in Safari browser Flash Player

Please HELP!! I've inserted two screen shots to demonstrate what I'm trying to get rid of. Some months ago I downloaded the Free Video Downloader for Mac from here:
    http://www.iskysoft.com/free-mac-video-downloader.html
I'm stuck with a very annoying "Download" icon that POPS UP TOP LEFT when I mouse-hover on any and all Flash Player content on my Safari browser. I'm on Mac OS10.5.8. This is ONLY happening on my Safari browser. Not on Firefox or Chrome. I downloaded a Flash Video downloader for Safari months ago. I've deleted ALL traces of the app. I've been everywhere in my system Library - Application Support - Safari folders - etc, I've looked everywhere. Updating Flash Player makes no difference. Clearing all data in the Flash Player System Preferences interface does not get rid of it. Clearing the entire Safair cache does not get rid of it. Re-installing Safari does not get rid of it. I've tried anything and everything I can think of and I've run out of ideas! Short of wiping my hard drive and re-installing Leopard which I do not want to do, I'm stumped. Every time I hover my mouse over Flash content - I'm STILL stuck with this highly annoying "Download" icon in the top left corner of all Safari Browser Flash content. Can anyone PLEASE help me get rid of it. Many thanks!!  NT

I am having exactly the same problem. Have trawled the internet for solutions and can't find one yet. Please can there be someone clever enough out there to fix this? It's driving me insane... Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

  • How do I get rid  of a download?

I have a movie that was downloaded, but now, after thinking I deleted it, it keeps coming back. How do I get rid of the movie permanently?

What do you mean by, "it keeps coming back?" Back from where? From where was it deleted - your hard drive, iTunes library? Did you put it in the Trash then empty the Trash?

  • Getting rid of white download icons

This may seem like a stupid question, but I can't seem to solve it. Whenever I download something, it creates a white zip disk like icon on my desktop. When I'm done installing the program, I "eject" the icon. But when I open that program, the icon reappears on my desktop. The best example I can think of is when I use Firefox. Any suggestions on how to get rid of this problem?

You are running Firefox from the disc image.
What you need to do is click on that Firefox disc and drag the Firefox icon into your applications folder. This will install it.
If you already have a Firefox icon in your dock, drag it out to discard it. It is a shortcut to the disc image and not the application. Drag the Firefox icon from your applications folder to the dock and you are good to go.
    Lastly eject the Firefox disc.

  • How do I get rid of unwanted downloaded apps/programs that "came with" my download?

I just downloaded PhotoShop Elements 12 - which I needed for work - onto my brand new Mac, and now there are these annoying UNWANTED apps sitting there that I can't get rid of: checkclientstatus, AALauncherUtil and macui. Hope can I dump these things? Really puts a bad taste in my mouth about wanting to download anything else from Adobe in the future.

kglad - Thanks so much for responding so quickly and trying to help. It took awhile, but I finally found out where they were located and how to dislodge them. It's just incredibly annoying when someone - or something - else lodges itself in your "home" and attaches with electronic superglue...especially when you're just moderately tech-savvy. It's nice to know someone out there - who is - was willing to help.
(clearly, they weren't apps, but they popped up on my Launchpad like them...as I said, I'm moderately tech-savvy...if that...)

  • Unable to download app, how do I just get rid of this download?

I attempted to download the facebook app, and most likely because my workplace has firewalls and internet controls, I was unable to. Now I get an error message every time I open itunes, as the program attempts to download the app every time it connects to the internet.
Is there any way to erase that download so that itunes won´t try to automatically download it? Because in my profile I see that there is "1 download available" (the facebook app, which I don´t care about), but I don´t see a "clear downloads" button.

Once an item enters the download queue, the user cannot remove it. If you can't get it downloaded, contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form linked from the bottom of their Download FAQ web page and ask them if they'll remove the item from your queue for you.

  • Getting rid of a download error message

Every time I open ADE a message appears saying one or more downloads did not finish would you like to continue. I click OK, an apparent download occurs then the message that this book isn't available anymore, etc. It's a title I got from the library weeks ago, downloaded successfully, have read and returned but the message continues as it has since I first downloaded the title. I tried trashing the whole ADE program, and installing a new copy but all I get is the same thing including the title I currently have in ADE. What can I do?

The mail server came up this morning, giving me the chance to edit the email - so I was able to delete it. Problem solved.

  • Trying to load/upgrade to OS X / Yosemite; "Installer" sticks @ 22 min. mark & states it "Cannot be installed". Can't get rid of Program Download - i.e. can't "Quit" the Program (it says "Restart", but 'cycles' process!)

Very frustrated!!! Application Download will NOT 'Quit' or 'Cancel' (after getting 'stuck' @ 22 min. of 'Install'). Instructions say to 'Restart' in order to quit, but all it does is 're-cycle' the process! I would very much like to 'STOP'/'CANCEL' the Download, so that I can seek another Upgrade Option.....HELP!!!!!

PS:  The Mac folder where Postbox stores it's messages is inside the Library folder inside your User folder.  Normally, the Library folder is invisible.  To make it visible in Finder, I did what it said here:

Also, it is very hard for people to help when we don't know which of the many iMac variatnts you have was what version of the Mac operating system you are running. Also let us know if this is limited to a specific program or happens no matter what you are doing with the computer.
A good place to start is with "About this Mac" from your Apple menu:

  • How do I get rid of the downloaded files showing on my desktop?

That is what do I have to do so that my downloads do not show up on the desktop whether they are simple documents or program files?  If I put them in the trash it seems to delete them altogether... Any advice will be very welcome as my desktop is almost full of downloaded file icons

It's not good practice to have a desktop full of icons. Is that your default download location? If so, you'd do better to designate a new destination, maybe the Downloads folder on your user account. Or any folder you create.
Each web browser will allow you to select a destination in its preferences.
