Getting rid of College Gameday...

I didn't realize when I got the College Gameday package 8 years ago that it was "for life".
Now, I can't cancel it. I followed the directions in the email before the start of the season; they didn't work. I chatted with someone online, he said I needed to call (after thinking I was asking about the soccer package). I called, they said I had it but wasn't going to be charged. Hah. Of course, I knew better.
Next month, bill comes, and - what do you know? It's charged on there. I call and complain. After bouncing around through several people, one of whom promised to reverse the charges, I finally found someone that seemed to be able to get it actually removed from my account.
This month...bill comes...and it still shows up. **bleep**, Verizon? Comcast would envy this **bleep**.
I just spent about 10 minutes surfing around their site, looking for a way to email them. No dice; I keep getting online chat or call them options. Calling them didn't work, twice.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can contact them via email or snail mail to get this fixed? It's insane.

I do have a 'Manage Space" link and a Turn on schedule link and change settings link along with Restore options with 3 options-' restore all user files- select another backup to restore files from and recover system settings on your computer. If I click on 'Manage Space link', it gives me the option to 'Select how disk space is used by Windows back up'- then there are two options: 'data file backup'-which indicates i can free up space by deleting file backups, and the other option is 'system image' which is greyed out. Upon clicking on the option (view backups) under 'data file backup option'- it shows the current data file backups on my hp_tools (e the date of the file is displayed and the amount of usage- it gives me the option to delete- should I click the delete button?

Getting rid of Fan Noise

I made a video on how to make Greeting cards. In the background you can hear the background noise of the fans for the lights. I tried to use the Hum remover filter and it doesn't seem to help it any at all.
If you go to www.GreetingCardWorks.com/clips.html you can hear the background noise after the title clip. I am taking FCP Studio 2.0 in College and so far were working on how to make titles.

In my experience, fan or generator noise peaks at two points - usually in the very high range, which can be fixed by applying a low pass filter. Finding the lower hum will take some searching - you can use the 2 band eq in FCP for this. turn the gain way down with a very narrow bandwidth and move the frequency around until you notch out the hum. You probably will not be able to get rid of it completely, but definitely make it less annoying.

It stopped being visible on the main retail store upon the release of the latest iMacs. I have no answer to why.
You can always find used and refurbished eMacs. And they may also still be available on educational stores. Since I'm not a college student or k-college educator, I can't check those stores to tell for certain. Remember, when it was initially released it was only available on educational stores.

Getting rid of OLD Group GID

We had quite some issues with our server. As a result we have been rebuilding the OD from scratch a couple of times. The result is that when now do a new OD master - I can't call my group the same as earlier... there's an old group still sitting there.
I can see these old groups when going to Server Admin to make a sharepoint. When I wanna chose the group to drag into the permission tab I get not one - but three different ones. The correct ones have a GID number of for instance 1028 - the wrong ones have numbers in the 100-120 range!
How can I get rid of these old GID???

Workgroup Manager > View Menu > Show System Users and Groups. You can't create any User or Group that is reserved for the System's use. I would not be tempted to delete them either as you could end up not being able to communicate with either of the Server's Administrative Applications as well as potentially breaking your server.
In a School/College/University environment you can't create a Group called Students as it already exists. Although you can create a User account called Student. Similarly you can't create a Group called Staff. You have to be careful with short names as well. You could end up creating a short name (the CEO's nickname for example) that is the same as an existing Group. You can add Users to those default groups and have them work in the way you would like them to if you had created those Groups. Any User or Group with an ID of less than 500 is invisible.

OS X automatically relaunches the Finder when it is quit. If the Finder is unresponsive, use Force Quit to relaunch it. Select Finder in the Force Quit Window or Dock, then click Relaunch.

I keep getting the box that asks "Do you use the Yahoo! Toolbar on multiple Computers. It asks Save to my Yahoo! ID, or No thanks, just save to this computer. How do I get rid of this one way or the other?

When I log on to Firefox, I get this block that pops up saying, "Do you use the Yahoo! Toolbar on multiple computers? It has 2 buttons asking "Save to my Yahoo! ID or No thanks, just save to this computer" It drops down from the Yahoo toolbar, next to the Y! on the left side of the tool bar. I have tried the Save button and no response, I tried the No thanks button no response. I tried the underlined "Learn more" and it too no response. I tried the close X but that does not get rid of this box. I tried right clicking and no response. It stays there through out while working on the mail, I cannot access the that toolbar so I cannot use the buttons on this tool bar. Please help or I will have to try another browser to see if it go away.
