Getting rid of place holder image in basic slideshow??

hey so i have placed a basic slideshow widget and placed my images into it but when it plays through in preview it is still including and showing the placeholder image of the black and white flower. is there a way i can remove this?

In design view, use the next and/or previous buttons to cycle through the images. Use the pointer tool to highlight the ones you don't want then press delete.

Downloaded Firefox 4 and now I can't get rid of the disk image.

I downloaded Firefox 4.0 on my Mac (Intel-based laptop) a week or so ago, followed the directions (moved the one image to the applications folder image), but now it won't let me get rid of the disk image. Trash won't let me empty it since Firefox is using it, and if I quit Firefox to do that , another one appears when I relaunch the program. Applications folder has Firefox 4.0 in it, but I can't make this annoying .dmg go away. What to do?

How Do I Get Rid Of Disk Partitions/Images?

Hey folks,
When I bought my iMac flat panel from a friend, he partitioned the hard drive into 3 'disks' or disk images. The problem I'm having, is that I would like to get rid of one of them and use that storage for the main disk; the disk with the startup info. on it.
How in the heck do I do this? I've located about 134, 765 articles on how to CREATE partitions, but none on how how to get rid of them, or combine them into others.

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
If you use only Apple's software then the only way is to Erase the drive with Disk Utility and set one partition only.
Clearly this will erase all data on the drive.
There are some 3rd party utilities that allow partitions to be removed/created without erasing the drive.
Given the nature of what you are doing here; I'd recommend fully backing up all your data before doing anything of this nature.

Can't Get rid of border around images??

every time i drag and drop an image into my background in dreamweaver it creates two white lines around the border of the image to let me know the images place, how do I erase these white lines?
The image and the background are both black and the white lines detract from the simplicity of the elements used...

The border is in your image.

Downgraded to 3.6 and now there is a "background" image to the sides on websites that showed up in 4 and now is still there. How do I get rid of the side image and get the site to look like it once did??

Often sites display the site in the middle with filler to the side. Now there is an image there that doesnt show up on Opera but now it does on firefox

I did safe mode as you suggested and things were set to the default theme.
It still didn't display like it did before I "upgraded".
Let me ask this another way. Looking at this very site, the whole website is displayed in the center of the screen and the sides are blank. Meaning that there is a bunch of wasted space. How do I configure firefox so it fills the screen?? If I could see just the middle portion that is how it used to display things.
Here is what I mean:

I just want to see:
[W E B S I T E]
And only that filling the screen.

How can i change counter image from example 1-3 to something like that if i add image as fill it doesn't change states.. text isc changing but not image.

How do I get rid of background noise when recording a slideshow??

Im trying to record a slideshow for keynote with music soundtrack coming in time with the clicks, but even when I plug a mike cable into what looks like the mike socket, i still hear background noise such as me tapping the key board...
any tips? Is there a way of turning the microphone off completely??

Go to System Preferences / Sound and click on the Input button. You should see two items listed in the device menu: the Internal Microphone and Line In. (There may be others if you also are using your USB or Firewire ports for input devices.)
Select Internal Microphone and adjust the Input Volume control to the far left (minimum). This will mute the computer's internal microphone.
Then select the Line-In (or other device) and adjust the input level as needed to make your recording.

How do I get rid of the images taking up half the screen?

Just got a Classic 160 and I love it EXCEPT for the fact that half the screen is taken up by a useless image. I want to use the full width of the screen for the title/artist, etc., So if I'm listening to a song from "The Skiffle Sessions: Live in Belfast" with Van Morrison, Lonnie Donegan, and Chris Barber, I get the full information instead of "Van Morrison, Lonnie ..." and "The Skiffle Sessions: L ..."
Please, how do I get rid of the useless image?!?!?!?!?!

I THINK it doesn't work. When you connected your iPod, click on the iPod in iTunes, click the music tab. there you got a list of playlists (most likely grayed out) and below there there should be something like "include music videos" (or something similiar. i'm not using the english version of iTunes, so the text could differ slightly. and right below that there should be an option "show covers on ipod" (again, the text could differ. but the meaning should be the same.) uncheck that and save it. if this option doesn't show: do you have the newest iTunes version?

Can't get rid of background image of toolbar buttons

I am just a front-end developer and responsible for the front-end look of an ADF application that we are creating: We are using jDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0 (and we cannot upgrade due to being told no...so I cannot USE the skin editor which when I tried to use, migrates the files).
I have created the necessary directories and files per tutorials I have been reading up on...
skins directory - (new directory)
skin.css (new file)
Web-Inf -
trinidad-skins.xml (new file and correctly configured)
trinidad-config.xml (existing file but updated to use the new skin)
Within the trinidad-skins.xml file I have the the new skin specified and is extending the "fusionFx-v1.desktop" default theme being used.
Now the problem... I cannot get the background images to be overwritten or disabled for af|toolbar::item within the .css file
I have looked up information about how to overwrite this and I tried to use the
-tr-inhibit: background-image; within the .css declaration like this

That was unsuccessful. I even just tried standard background {none;} and that was a no go as wel.
What am I doing wrong here? This is driving me nuts... they made this skinning stuff way too complicated IMO. I don't see why I can't just add a class to the component within the property inspector of that component and then be able to reference it via normal css conventions... but nope BREAKS grrr... And I'm advanced level CSS coder! This stuff has me absolutely clueless and ready to just quit!
Any suggestions or help is appreciated! And again... I cannot use the skin editor! Everytime I tried to, it prompted me to migrate the application and I cannot do this since there are about 5 other developers working on this application (we use clearcase for version control).

I can't use the stand alone skin editor since it will want me to migrate the project files (developed in 11.1.1.4) and all files are source controlled via ClearCase.

That WILL NOT get rid of the background images on the buttons! However if I do the !important hack within the CSS like this:

Then BOOM it works... I do NOT want to use the !important hack since that will cause problems in CSS inheritance and cascading...
What am I doing wrong?
Also how do I (if possible) target a specific ID used? For example the af:toolbar has an ID of "topLinkToolBar" how can I target that within the CSS? I know I can target it via class attribute like this:

but how would I do the same if I wanted to only apply to a component with a particular ID?

I am designing a web site for my wife using DW. The basic

I tried to get rid of the background images altogether, by deleting the two "div class" from the above code but it shifted the layout.. When I try to delete the background images - nothin happened. Could these images be embedded in the template PHP - if so, where do I look for it?
Could sombody suggest a solution?

Hi Anna,
This system is not PHP so there is no PHP and you do not have access to any server side coding.
Do not delete the actual html, in your CSS just remove the background from the css of the element.

I have updated my firefox to 3.6.10 And it came back in a page showing the personnas.As i did not know what was all about i started touching the icons and found that my toolbar was changing colors. It is so compliv=cated. U had yo find in troubleshootung sime ways. Then i found so many files in the profile menu that have been filed .I had to open every one to choose the right one that never found Then nothing could be done No way to revert.I had decide to uninstall the firefox Then i ttried the restore system way and it worked.
In any case these add ons of persona are comletely silly.So many unfitting colors and no way to revert.Only to choose a different stupi d icon.Too silly for my sense of style

When I woke up my computer this morning, there was a Perian software update window right in the center of my screen. I cannot get rid of it and don't want to install it. No matter what I push...it won't budge. My choices are Skip this version, remind me later or install update...as I said I don't want to install it...how do I get rid of it ?

Hold your finger on the word for a little time - after a second or so, a magnifying view appears showing the few letters around your finger, with a cursor. Roll your finger to move the cursor to just in front of the letter you want to fix. Then let your finger go. You can now backspace to delete and replace the incorrect letter.
