Getting rid of red missed call text

Is there a way to change the display of missed calls from red to black text? I'm looking for something that would allow me to acknowledge that I see the missed call so that it can go back to normal.

touch the missed call and then exit out of it and the red number will go away.

  • How to get rid of the missed call notification banner? - galaxy s3

    SAMSUNG GALAXY S3
Has anyone found a way to get rid of - that is, keep it from EVER being displayed -  the missed call notification banner on the lockscreen?  I've tried everything I can think of short of getting a different phone ... a third party app worked perfectly until we were "blessed" with KitKat in the most recent software upgrade.

Hey mayor360, I know that would concern me a bit too having my missed call notifications being shown while my device is locked. I have done some reasearch on my end and have found that for many users have been using 3rd party applications just as you have. If after the update your specific application started to not function we can try to reset the device to ensure there are no software issues and then install the application once more. If you'd like to give the reset a shot you can click this link to see how http://bit.ly/1pphu6w. This step will erase all the information on the device, so you want to make sure the device is backed up before proceeding. To backup your device you can simply download our Verizon Cloud application in the Google Play Store. Keep us updated. -AdamG_VZW

How can I get rid of the added / preset  text words included in my text messages.  It always says something like "Please call back at ###-####."

        JenJenTen,
I understand that having a preset text that you did not want can be a bit frustrating when sending out text. To clarify, is the preset message like a signature at the end of your text? Does this only happen in text messages or when your send emails also? Is your SMS delivery confirmation on? Messaging>Settings>SMS delivery confirmation.

  • Can't get rid of the # when adding text

I'm trying to edit a document in Indesign. I started by doing a Pre-Flight to correct errors and have one left I can't get rid of.
Originally the Text Error was for a font that ID could not find so I changed the font to what was already being used for other text - an included font - Charlamagne Std Regular
When trying to type text into a text box the type jumps to just above the text box where the pound sign (#) sits.
When entering type, even after positioning the curser inside the text box, it jumps the text to right before the pound sign, on top of the text box, and adds a pink box under the text.
I have attached a screen shot to show this. How to I get rid of the pound sign and pink box to be able to simply type some text in the text box (that the pink box is in)? Thanks!

@dkg62 – to make clear what's going on, select the text frame and show us another screenshot.
There are at least four cases where you can get a text like that. All cases imply, that the font you'd like to use is missing. I simulated this by formatting text with a font weight that is not available by a character style.
    1. The most likely case: There is baseline shift applied; here in my case 9pt.
All other cases are academical, because the pink highlighting is aligned with the text:
    2. Text frame options, baseline set to a fixed value (zero in this case)
    3. Text on path and the text frame options (baseline) is just the standard default. You can see a second #-end of story sign inside the text frame.
    4. Text on path and the text frame options (baseline) is set to fixed (zero in this case). The second #-sign inside the text frame is shifted above because of the fixed value of the baseline option of the text frame options. And obscured by the pink highlighting.

  • Setting audible missed call/text reminder on 6600 ...

    Hi,
I can't figure out out to set the audio/vibrate reminder for missed calls/texts on the 6600 slide.
As it is now, every time I get out of the shower, or wake up or anything else, I have to take the phone out and physically check the screens to see if I've missed an important call or message.
Also, since this phone doesn't vibrate very strongly, you can miss a text if you happen to be walking at the time. That's why I really need to find where in the menus you set the reminder tones on.
    Any hints?

That defines the alert when the message arrrives.
What the OP wants is constant audible reminders after the fact so that the phone keeps on nagging you until you've read the messages or made anote of the missed calls.

  • How do i get rid of click to call

Whenever I try to uninstall this crappy program I get an error message
"there is a problem with this windows installer package. a script required for this install to complete could not be run. contact your support personnel or package vendor."
I've had this happen before (it always installs wrong) and somehow I figured out how to get rid of it but for the life of me I can't remember how I did it. Disabling the plug-in on the chrome toolbar does absolutely nothing.

  • No Voicemail But Missed Call Text Alert

Hi EE, I'm new to EE, previously I've been on Vodafone and O2.  With them I always had a feature where I revieved missed call text alerts when ever my phone was unavailable with no signals either in Underground Tube, Indoors or if the phone was swithced off without having to activate voicemail. Do you have anything similar or can you please provide such feature at your earliest.  Thanks.

Yes, EE do have this, but I think you do need your voicemail enabled to allow this as the setting to switch this on or off is in the voicemail settings menus.

how to get rid of red eye

The Red Eye tool is in the same palette as the Healing Brush, the Spot Healing Brush, Content Aware Move, and Patch tools. To move to this palette, press J, and click and hold on the selected icon.
Once you've selected the Red Eye tool, click on the red eye in your photo and Photoshop will fix it.
One more thought: Have you tried LevelUp for Photoshop? It's a  game of missions and levels, designed to help you learn Photoshop basics; and one of the missions shows you how to fix red eye. You install LevelUp for Photoshop using Adobe Exchange. Go to Window > Extensions > Adobe Exchange, and search for LevelUp.

  • [SOLVED] Can't get rid of a wine-polluted text file icon [KDE]

    Hello folks,
For some reason, my KDE system likes to use a Wine program based icon for all text files when I'm using a Faenza theme. The problem occurs only for my user (not root) so I think this is an user-specific issue.
I've already checked .local/share/icons folder for matching icon images. I found one which was named "text-plain.png", being equally the same "W-space" icon image as shown in the picture below. Thus I removed this png file from all necessary subfolders (22, 24, 32, 48...), so as far as I can think, there should not be any traces for the old icon image left. I've already re-checked all folders which I think are relevant to the issue. In addition, I've updated icon cache by using gtk-update-icon-cache and kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental commands. However, the system seems to disagree with me and the annoying icon appears still in text file icons.
The problem appears practically like in the following picture:
W-space icon image is very likely related to Adobe Photoshop which I've installed on my PlayonLinux installation (.PlayonLinux/wineprefix/photoshop). I still don't understand by which logic the system decides to use this W-space image for text files.
I wonder if I need to take further steps to get rid of this annoying icon. Am I missing something? All I want is that KDE would use basic Faenza icon for text files. Any hints are welcome!
    Thank you!

Allright, this was, after all, a very simple issue. As expected.
I simply removed file /var/tmp/kdecache-fincer/icon-cache.kcache, rebooted the system and all icons are fine now.
    Topic marked as solved.

  • Is the "Wake Lock" app a good workaround for the Missed Calls/Texts issue?

Back on Jun 18, at the beginning of the "Any One Having Missed Call Problem after ED04 ..." thread, wardcst24 posted that the Wake Lock app seemed to fix the issue of missing calls and that all calls now were received A-OK (not sure about texts).
I think the train of thought is that after the Froyo / ED01 / ED04 updates, when the phone is in sleep mode it doesn't recognize some incoming calls and texts, but that this app keeps the CPU active enough to detect them when received.  There's probably a (minimal?) hit to memory / battery life / processing speed, but certainly acceptable vs missing calls.
Has anyone had any luck with this or a similar app?  I can't test it since I'm still on 2.1 (never got around to upgrading to Froyo, sometimes it pays to be lazy . . . )..
Here's the thread with the original Wake Lock reference:

It did work but when you would get a call wake lock would crash and if you didn't remember to reset it you would start missing calls again.
It would consume 3% per hour
I could not deal with having to remember to reset all the time so I sent my phone back to Samsung for the 5th time.
There is another one that is said to work very well it is sofLocker

I have not been able to test because Samsung has my phone for time #5

  • Get rid of the 'Missing'with Custom Effects

    Hi
i've created some Custom Effects with Ae.But some of them have the word 'Missing'in front of the actual Effect.
how can i get rid of that? All Effects work though.
    thx

    I have the same problem.
I'm running both CS4 and CS5 here and have appended the exact same Custom Effect code to the PresetEffects.xml file in each version.
The CS4 project works fine; but when the same project is opened (and converted of course) in to CS5 I get a dialog warning me that the effects are missing, and I get the "Missing: " text in front of the effect name everywhere it appears.
However as noted the effects still seem to work: that is, the controls are still there and usable and the expressions attached to their parameters have come through intact.
I have verified this to be the case also with CE's from Maltaanon and others which are installed via the PolyCE Installer AIR application. They work in CS4 but are displayed as "Missing: " in CS5.
However the original poster says only "some" of their effects have this problem? Maybe you could analyze the any possible difference in how you coded them? Has something changed with the XML syntax or something?
Would be nice if this was fixed and for that matter also nice if they finally enable the "Popup" type controller via XML as well..;)

  • No LTE for about a week now, just getting the "1x" symbol, apps, calls, texts not working right?

For about a week now my phone hasn't been getting service. Calls will go directly to my voicemail without even showing up as a missed call or giving me the option to answer. Texts will send slow or not at all. It has the "1x" symbol instead of 3G or LTE. This is in all areas I've been for a week, not just at my home. Apps will not load, internet will not connect. Also my phone will not connect at all to wifi like it used to and my ipad and laptop do with  no problem. Also receiving the message "Connection Failed: Your data connection isn't working. Please switch to wifi or try again in a bit". I have reset the network settings, and reset the phone. The issue has not been solved. What else should I do?

Have you tried removing and then reinserting the SIM card?  Or even replacing the SIM? (They are free at Verizon stores)
If that doesn't help, it may be the phone itself...how old is it?  Still under the one year warranty?  If so, go to your nearest APPLE store (not Verizon!!) or go online and chat with an Apple rep to see what they will do for you.  If you are out of warranty, and have no insurance, I would still contact Apple and see what they recommend.
