Getting rid of toolbars in Word

How do I get rid of the Acrobat toolbars that CS3 put in Word? I delete them but when I open Word again they come back. I don't want them there, even if I have to remove the Acrobat link to Word.

Typically you would go to the repair for Acrobat in the control panel and unselect PDF Maker.

Connect the iOS device to your computer and try to make a backup.
iOS: How to back up
Then restore via iTunes. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I may be wrong and if I am I stand corrected but as far as I know you cannot get rid of the side toolbar. Much the same as you cannot get ride of the toolbar on compact digital and DSLR cameras.

Hi Matt, I'm not really clear on what happened to your Firefox. You have an unwanted toolbar in Firefox?
Usually a new toolbar is created and maintained by an extension (a kind of add-on). Please visit the Add-ons page and review the extensions. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if you do not recognize an extension click Disable, and if you want it gone, click Remove. If in doubt, disable.
''If the Remove button is missing, then usually the extension was added by an installer that runs outside Firefox. More on that below.''
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
For system-installed extensions, try the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program. Click the "Installed On" column heading to sort by installation date so you can see what was recently added. You may find some unexpected tag-alongs that can be removed without losing the programs you actually want.

How do I get rid of the title words and only have icons on the bookmarks toolbar?

The title words are too long and take up too much space, so I have to go to a drop down on the right to see the rest of my bookmarks - it's annoying, when I already know who they are, I don't need to see the words....Thanks for any help.

No way to just set a preference so they already don't have the words when I save them? Thanks for the response, it will work; and that's all that really matters - it's just annoying to have to do them one at a time (am I techno-lazy or what?! Spoiled! ;-) )

How can I get the Acrobat toolbar in Word 2013?
Yes I can print to pdf, but I want all the bookmarking etc etc from the pdf maker.

To remove the "Conduit" spyware, take the steps below.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Application Support/Conduit
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. From the Finder menu bar, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder…
Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return. A Finder window should open with a folder named "Conduit" selected. If it does, delete the selected item.
Repeat with these lines:

You may be prompted for your login password. Next, copy this line:

Select Go to Folder… again and paste. Don't delete the Library folder. Delete only the following items inside it, if they exist.

From the Safari menu bar, select

How do I get rid of extra space in the toolbar section?

There is a blank space between the Navigation Toolbar and the Tabs. It is the same height as the other Toolbars, and is very annoying. How do I get rid of this space?

What you appear to have a a bookmarks toolbar without any bookmarks.
Make sure that you have the check mark present for the bookmarks toolbar
View > Toolbars
Use "Ctrl+B" to bring up the bookmarks in the sidebar.
You should have three major folders "Bookmarks Toolbar", "Bookmarks Menu" and "Unsorted Bookmarks".
If you have no bookmarks or folders in the "Bookmarks Toolbar" that would be one reason for it to be blank, another and the only other one I think is currently possible through Firefox itself is that you don't have the wording "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" in the row when in customize, look for an item marked "Bookmarks" -- there are two such items you don't want the white star on a black background and drop-down, you want the the one with blue symbol on the right hand side -- drag it to the bookmarks toolbar, be careful in dragging you might drop it in the wrong toolbar.
If that doesn't work use the "Restore Default Set" and then you have to re-customize your toolbars (but you placed a picture here that you could work toward).

My toolbar shows "downloading the latest applications" 24/7 - how do I get rid of it?

Right under the toolbar is what looks line another toolbar and the only thing on it is the"working" circle and the words "downloading the latest applications". This is there all the time and there have been no applications loading. I want to get rid of it.

I keep getting the box that asks "Do you use the Yahoo! Toolbar on multiple Computers. It asks Save to my Yahoo! ID, or No thanks, just save to this computer. How do I get rid of this one way or the other?

When I log on to Firefox, I get this block that pops up saying, "Do you use the Yahoo! Toolbar on multiple computers? It has 2 buttons asking "Save to my Yahoo! ID or No thanks, just save to this computer" It drops down from the Yahoo toolbar, next to the Y! on the left side of the tool bar. I have tried the Save button and no response, I tried the No thanks button no response. I tried the underlined "Learn more" and it too no response. How do I get rid of the new toolbar that was added by versions 20 and 21?

I have tried both versions 20 and 21 and both have the bugs below so I ended up having to re-install version 19:
1.) Versions 20 and 21 add a new toolbar that has nothing but a "Firefox" button on it - and no way to get rid of this toolbar is provided. It wastes far too much space on my laptop's screen - that button should have been put on one of the other toolbars or simply made part of the icon set that users can use to customize their menubar or other toolbars.
2.) That new toolbar is not customizable. Hence, I don't have the option of recovering screen space by moving everything from my menubar onto the new toolbar then hiding the menubar.
3.) The back, forward, and stop|reload buttons on my menubar no longer work. Moving them back to the navigation toolbar and showing that toolbar does not solve the problem. Nor can I right-click on a web page and select those functions from the context menu: they are permanently disabled there too.
4.) I can no longer right click on the menubar or a toolbar and get a context menu from which you I can pick a "customize" option - I can't get a context menu AT ALL. In order to customize things for versions 20 or 21, I first have to reinstall version 19, do the customizations, then reinstall version 20 or 21.

Reading some older threads from 2012 and 2011 it appears the problem was present even then. Part of the problem was due to people using multiple or different account id's on the various devices. In my case, I only have one ID and it is the same on all devices yet the iPhone and iPad are still throwing the same error when I try turning on iTunes Match. This is very frustrating . . . any help out there? Thanks.

I recently downloaded a toolbar call Quizolous_v3b. I then realized that I did not want it and Quickly uninstalled it. It is now my default search engine and it still shows up as a toolbar for firefox and I can't get rid of it. in English

Hi Gnib, First go to start>control panel>add/remove Programs. In add/remove
programs there will be "Media Bar" once you click on it to remove it,then it says
remove "media bar 2.0". Get rid of that also. Now go into your "add-ons
and extensions". There will be something about the imesh toolbar. Uninstall
that. Go into start>programs. If imesh is there, delete that too.
If this doesn't work for you. Tell me what you first did to remove imesh.

I loaded the profile song toolbar twice, how do I get rid of the duplicate and profile song will not show when I am on my FB page anymore it gives me a strange security error

If it happens again the make sure that you aren't suppressing website colors.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

How can I get rid of the "Bookmarks" Submenu in my Bookmark Toolbar - Tried everything!

I have a problem with FF that is driving me insane. I want to get rid of the "Bookmarks" Submenu which resides on the far RH side of the Bookmarks Toolbar, but it won't let me delete it. I have tried EVERYTHING to get it to go - Deleted preferences, deleted all of my bookmarks, tried customising the toolbar etc but it's still there. I have no need to a Bookmakr submenu in my Bookmark toolbar and I don't want it there, just taking up space. Is there any way at all I can get rid of it? Friends say that their FF doesn't have it, but I have tried a re-install and trashing prefs and it still won't go!
Could use some help with this - I am going mad.

OK - Now I have a new issue. Without the Bookmark sub menu in the Bookmark toolbar, I can't drag or add any links to the bookmark toolbar! Dragging, adding it via the Bookmark Panel etc. is fruitless. Is this normal behaviour? I don't get it - Why would I need a sub menu in my bookmark bar, when the whole reason for the bar being there is for me to add my own bookmark locations or even folders? There is no point having the bar, if it has a menu in it, since I have to open the menu anyway, so I may as well just open the bookmark menu. I can't believe this is the way it is designed.... Attached is a pic comparing what it looks like with the sub-menu in the bar and without. Note that in both cases the Bookmark Bar is visible.
This is not doing my intention to jump ship from Safari any good. So far the Bookmark management and RSS Set-up in Firefox is leaving a lot to be desired, and is looking decidedly dodgy....
