Getting rm-1500 that came with audigy4 to work with other applicati

I've done a search and not come up with much, well that was helpful or recent so thought i'd post.
I have an Audigy 4 sound card (can't see any other names so it's not a pro or platinum or anything else - just a bog standard audigy 4)
it's an internal card and came with a usb ir receiver and rm-500 remote control. I installed the software off the cd and then i have installed the latest drivers from the website and also the mediasource software from the website (i hadn't installed the mediasource software from the cd!)
The remote works ok in the creative entertainment centre - but how can you use it with other programs?
Looking at other posts, i checked in the entertainment centre and made sure i had the 'enable remote control' 'enable remote control when windows starts up' 'enable control of windows applications' all ticked.
I don't have any section where i can 'add' applications.
I've also heard mention of a settings area in the mediasource program, i have version 5.0.38- been in there and i don't have a remote control tab or a remote and OSD tab - no other settings for the remote control.
So is it possible to get the remote to control other applications - i'm thinking windows media player , media player classic, a latest version of poweerdvd or windvd, VLC, and maybe itunes.
Is there anything i can do? Even if it involves a lot of manual working? I've seen some 3rd party remote software but they don't seem to work with the creative usb receivers.
At the moment the power button turns the creative entertainment centre on and off as does the start button.
Ideally i'd like to be able to open and close other programs with the remote control as well as pause/play/forward/etc - not sure if this is possible though.

I should also add that i have a directory at
C:\Program Files\Creative\SBAudigy4\Entertainment Center\KeyMap
which has files called windvd, powerdvd, wmpapp, winamp - so it looks like it should be able to get them to work, maybe with just a bit of modification - as i said before it would be good if i could open and close a media or dvd player with a remote key as well as controlling the program.
one other thing - and i'm not sure if i imagined it LOL, but when i tried the remote a year or so ago (i think maybe with just the drivers installed and no other software)
i'm sure the power button on the remote turned my pc off (with no configuration on my part) and maybe even on.
Could it really do this?
i've discovered that pressing the cancel button closes apps and once everything is closed pressing it brings up the shutdown pc pop up where you can then select turn off, restart etc - so i can use it to turn the pc off.
Still having probs getting it to work with other apps though - strange as i have the key files for various apps but other people seem to have a setting in mediasource where they can 'ADD' an app by browsing for the exectable - i don't have the remote settings page in my mediasource (latest version) for some reason.
Can anybody help?

For the first time, I'm trying to use adobe premiere elements 10 that came with my pc Windows 8. I created a single project, saved it but cannot open it. What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 10 running on? And, what video card/graphics card does that computer use?
Is this the first time you are using Premiere Elements 10 or have you worked with it before successfully? There is no easy solution until we
know the details and troubleshoot to determined what caused the problem.
1. Can you open a new project?
2. After you saved/closed the problem project, did you move, delete, or rename any of the files/folder that were related to the source media
for that project?

I have a pioneer 50 inch plasma + I purchased new from the company back in 2005. I tried to hook up an Apple Tv to the pioneer receiver that came with the TV. I can not get it to work.
The receiver has two HDMI inputs in the back. However they say they are not for PC's. Furthermore they must be set up by going to the home menu. I tried everything, but I can not get the receiver to talk to the Apple TV. I even tried a connector that uses an HDMI to the Apple TV that has the other side of the cable as 5 RCA cables. I could not get the receiver to see the Apple TV. I have a newer TV in the house, it has no problem talking with the Apple TV. But this older system seems to be handicapped in its ability to talk with the newer Apple TV system.

BobI could not access the Apple TV on the television. If I put the Apple TV directly into by TV, I have an external sound system (entertainment system), therefore I worry that I would by pass the audio.

when i plug my phone into the usb port with the apple charger that came with my phone i get an error msg say charging not supported by this device. But when i use a gigaware (radioshack brand) usb charger, no error msg. Why?
- Try restoring the iPod, first from backup and then try to factory settings/new iPod to rule out a software problem.
- Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, foreign material and broken or cracked plastic.
- Could you have damaged something when you took the iPod apart and replaced the Home button? -
I have mac pro 2007 model given to me, I updated it to lion about six months ago, and I do not have a time machine.
Lion stopped loading before I get to the login screen,
I tried all the tips, doing a option/shift/v. I noticed several fsk_dsk errors that it could not fix on my boot drive.
Restore would not work either. The only physical copy I have is the install disk that came with the mac. I think it is Tiger.
If I put this operating system on will I be abel to upgrade it to lion, and if so will I have to pay again?The Lion Recovery Partition has its own index. Your Macintosh HD partition is the one with the troubles.
If Disk Utility cannot fix it, you may need to apply different Utilities, such as Disk Warrior.
Some readers suggest that the best disk repair is to erase the drive and restore it from your Backups.
This might be a good time to consider getting a new drive to have on hand. This would allow you flexibility in copying, fixing, and (if needed) replacing the drive with the problems. -
The hard drive on my Mac Book Pro failed last week. I just put a new Samsung SSD in this thing and had to load the Snow Leopard OS that came with the computer. I had Mt. Lion on the old drive that I had purchased last year but no boot disc made. I have made several attempts to get the Mt lion soft ware on the computer but the Apple store does not have it only mavericks but my Snow Leopard version is too old for it so I cant get it either. How do I get something to run the software that I had on the old drive?
Unfortunately I lost my life and am trying to rebuild. Isn't the technical era great.
Backup, backup, backup
As a minimum, use 3-2-1 (or even more)
3 copies of your data (original copy counts as 1)
2 different backup utilities/storage formats (protects from bugs in the software)
1 copy off-site (protects against theft, fire, and natural disaster)
More backup copies are even better.
Backup disks are cheap compared to the lost of personal data that does not exist anywhere else. -

You have been syncing the iPhone with iTunes on your computer without a SIM card inserted in the iPhone for how long?
If the iPhone says connect to computer, this means there is a problem with your iPhone that requires restoring the iPhone with iTunes. As already provided, not having a SIM card inserted in an iPhone does not prevent or shouldn't prevent syncing the iPhone with iTunes. Depending on the iPhone model, it is required in order to restore the iPhone with iTunes.

To re-activate an iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS that displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen:

Hi I replaced my hard drive on macbook and I want to install mac osx10.5 with the CD that came with the macbook. When I run the CD after a while I get the page showing language options for 2 second then a gray screen appears and nothing happens. I partitioned my hard drive and I tried installing Microsoft windows and that worked just fine. But I do not understand why it wont install mac os x 10.5????? PLEASE HELP ME. Thanks Hamid

I purchased the Logitech F310 game controller for my 2011 MacBook Pro. How do I get the driver installed for it. The Disk that came with the controller is a mini disk and will not insert into my laptop.
May not make a difference anyway. The Logitech support site does not show drivers for Mac OS for the F310:

I'd contact their support to find out if there is a Mac driver available, and if they can either give you a web link to get it, e-mail you the software, or snail-mail you a standard-size disk with the drivers. -

Thanks stevejobsfan0123 for the reply, I know I have to buy a disk but when I searched for it on amazon I read many reviews about saying that either it is inadequate or that it's a scam. Do you know any website where I can get a legitimate disk of windows7?

I have tried to download a digital copy that came with a movie I purchased and I keep getting the an error about HD purchase vs. SD purchase. I push redeem again and it has the same message and I cant download the movie. What can I do?

after downloading osx 10.9.2 when i open my logic pro 9 and begin to audition loops that came with lp9 i get a message that says "audio device has been removed and then a second message the " select driver not found(-10202). my interface is a apogee duet. Guys, I've solved my problem about that error -10202 (Selected driver not found).
I have installed in my Mac Pro (OS X 10.5.8) a document with an extension ".rsrc" to correct the position of the accents in my keyboard, like acute accent, tilde and circumflex.
That file is called "U.S. - International.rsrc" and it's stored in the following path:
"Macintosh HD/Library/Keyboard Layouts"
So, when it's properly installed, I can choose 2 country flags on the right side of the menu bar (U.S. - International and Brazilian).
That's the clue!
When I pick up "U.S. - International", my keyboard works fine with the accents, >>>BUT<<< Logic Pro 9 doesn't recognize my audio driver; and when I pick up "Brazilian", my keyboard doesn't work with the accents exactly as it shows me on each key, BUT Logic Pro 9 DOES recognize my audio driver.
So, when I want to write anything out, I will pick up the "US - International" and when I want to work on the Logic Pro 9, I will pick up "Brazilian".

lost my application dvd that came with macbook pro, early 2011. any alternatives to get the applications in that??
I'm not sure how this is an iTunes issue, but anyway, other than buying the apps from the Mac App Store (note that iDVD and iWeb are not available via the App Store), the only alternative is to call Apple support and give them the serial number of your Mac. They can usually sell you a new disk set for a reasonable fee.

Based in HK--a very intl city. Travel constantly thoughout Asia and N Amer for biz. Bought MA, at new HK Apple store, that came with lg HK- 3-prong plug on thick extension cord that's useless. Asked store for a US 2-prong cord as much easier and universal to travel with and easy to use adopters. Not available thru Apple in HK; avail in US for addl US$79+tax if I am there t pick it up or with shipping (!!) we are talking a $100 addl cord expense on top of the $1,700 cost of the MA. Apple: get to understand the needs of your customers: they are increasingly global. (BTW: an adapter kit that needs to be used 100% of time is NOT the answer as it just creates a Mickey-Mouse solution.)
