Getting screen re-draw, color blotches on certain Macs using ARD 3
Has anyone seen this. Serious re-draw issues when observing / controlling certain Macs with ARD 3, have seen this sometimes with ARD 2.
Buttons, boxes get blotched and can not see what you are doing, disconnecting and re-connecting does not solve it.
Power Mac G5 Dual 2.0 Mac OS X (10.4.7)

Have you tried reinstalling the ARD client? Are the systems that have this problem running 10.4.7?

Pausing a movie to get screen grags

Really basic question, but it is driving me crazy. What is
the best way to preview a .swf while in Flash and pause it as you
are viewing it so that you can get screen grabs? I work on a MAC
and I've found out that if i "control click" while viewing the
movie stops but as soon as I let go of anything it starts back up.
Any ideas?

First thread.interrupt() is not implemented properly, when you call thr.interrupt() it won't throw InterruptedException. you need something like this in your run() function

Second you should be able to achieve it via Semaphore with one permit. Whenever your have Dialog open acquire a lock on semaphore and inside while loop have this.

Get a black screen with a colored border saying that mozilla is not responding. Any help would be appreciated.

Start firefox and get to homepage . When proceeding to another link or page firefox stops responding and I get a black screen with a colored border stating at the top of the page that mozilla is not reponding. Try to go back to home page and mozilla shuts down. Any help would be appreciated. Prefer to use firefox over internet explorer in which case the problem is not duplicated. IE9 works fine. Long time firefox user and hope to continue to be. Thanks

I created an account just to say that firefox is not what it used to be and I'm very disappointed in it and it's developers. I've been with firefox since the day of it's launch. Every new version after firefox 2 has been a let down--- what's the point when I get the same type of ridiculous crashes and freezes? What really annoys me is when I click "new" to create a new message to send within hotmail and it freezes for about 30 seconds to a minute. This happens every time without fail! I've updated a newer version 3 times and still the same thing. I've noticed that there have been more new releases, but I'm now convinced that it's only for show--- trying to stack up to Opera. Firefox copies off of Opera a lot, but it's too bad the developers can't copy it's stability. Who wants to have to read through forums looking for a fix... who has time for that? I don't want to, but I'm really considering leaving firefox for good. Please, get it together and FIX firefox.

Trying to update and my nano screen goes from color to black and white...

Last time this happened I lost all of the information on my ipod.
I was trying to get my newly purchased music from itunes to my nano. I couldn't. The help sections told me to update my ipod. I'm currently trying to update with 2006-03-23 and the screen still says "initializing" and actually as I type this the screen that says initializing appears frozen (although I've learned apple stuff is weird because it appears frozen but it's not). How long should this take? Is there something I'm doing wrong? Why does my ipod screen go from color to black and white? Do I need to redo anything? Do I need to reset my nano?
Please help with the ******** mac user (I've always used Windows and I am lost in the mac world apparently when it comes to ipods)

Can you get the exact wording for that error? Is it can't mount iPod?

I will attach a recent screen shot of a print window I opened and the extra code is above and below the window. There are matrix type blocks of code and then lines under the window. I get this all the time and it is getting worse.
Any help to get rid of it would be appreciated.

It's likely the Video card, or possibly heat.
At the Apple Icon at top left>About this Mac.
Then click on More Info>Hardware and report this upto *but not including the Serial#*...

One of them would be "VBTYP_N". When I click on the square next to the option, I am presented with a list of possible values to select from. Where can I get the list of this possible values for any given dict type in code?

The list of possible selection you see can be from diferent sources
1) Search helps defined either programatically or search helps defined at table level.
If it is a Z Selection screen check the program, then the data declaration of the parameter
2)Check tables provided at field level. They can be through use of foreign keys. The proposal generated could be simple compund ..
3) Fixed values at Domain level ()

How to center loaded swf & get screen coordinates of its component?

I made an swf using Flash CS4, it has a movieclip named 'mc' & and a vertical bar centered horizontally. I then load it using swfloaded & put it inside a canvas & set it's windows & height to 100%.

Q1. I draw an bound box according to the content object of this swf & saw this bound box is indeed centered. However, the bar object is some offset left from the center of screen. Why it's not aligned center as I saw it in Flash CS4?
Q2. I try to get the screen coordinates of component 'mc' by using localToGlobal to convert it to screen coordinates & draw a box to overlap their top-left point. However the topleft point of box is far left of mc's on screen. I think it's due to the swf is scaled, so I dump scaleX and scaleY of this swf but they are both 1? How can I get correct screen coordinates of mc?

Because of margins and padding, the Canvas probably won't be positioned at
0,0, so setting its width to screen.width will make it hang over the right
edge. Use width="100%" instead. Same for height.
I believe there is a horizontalAlign property on the SWFLoader.

My screen went from color to monochrome

A few days after I "upgraded" to the new iOS, my phone screen went to monochrome. I can't find the way to get back to a color screen.

Go into Settings>General>Accessibility and check the vision area for either Invert Colors or Grayscale.

Weird Screen Re-Draw When Dragging on Timeline

Just downloaded the trail of Premiere Elements 10. My first experience with it was dragging media from my project into the timeline and the screen re-draws in this amazingly buggy way. I see the same behavior any time I try to drag any item on the timeline. I took a few screen shots to demonstrate what I mean. The timeline becomes completely unusable and obscured while the program re-draws the top of the interface over it. System is a MacBook Air Core i5 running OSX 10.7.3 with an external monitor. I've tried re-starting the app with no change. With behavior like this, it's pretty much unusable.

The red lines above the clips on your timeline is an indication of a mismatch between your video source and the project settings -- which likely also accounts for the buggy re-rendering issue you're having.
What model of camcorder did this video come from and what resolution and format is it?
When you started your Premiere Elements project, which project settings did you select?

Slow screen re-draw with InDesign CC

Having upgraded to InDesign CC and the screen re-draw speed is a disaster. The whole point of the product is to be PRODUCTIVE!!!!
Design professionals need the products that they work with to be able to keep up with their creative input and not have it limited by poor performance. We pay for fast hardware to run the software as fast as it can go. To have to sit and WAIT for the program to catch up to what you are doing is extremely frustrating.
When is Adobe going to look at designing their software from the point of view of the user - NOT just adding features that aren't targetted towards getting the job done??

OS 10.6.8 and yes it was a clean install.
Have done all your suggestions previously and still same problem. It appears to be worst when moving type, or even just typing in text.
So its partly linked to how the fonts are being re-drawn on screen?
